Feasting in glory, as Heartstar says it, they let their guard down. They let a feast come upon them for victory, and for the cats that had been lost that day. But, as they prey was set, Heartstar was the last, and suddenly claw marks had appeared on her, with another scent of rose. She lay there, deep claw marks in her neck as the blood pooled.

"I think...It's Oceanwave," Leafsky concluded at last. She gave a hard, angry stare at the she-cat. She looked sadly at the bodies of the dead cats, then looked back at Oceanwave, anger flowing through her.
