Cinderheart bid Firewillow goodbye as the other she-cat headed towards Brownspring, while Cinderheart headed towards the Warriors' den for some much needed rest.

The young warrior took a sharp turn, avoiding a large rock in the middle of the path before swerving back onto the path again. The wind rippled through his fur, carrying a nice breeze. They had almost made it to the waterfall, this was going to be great! He could already hear the thundering sound of the water.

The old she-cat smelled something, it had to be Sunfeather. She nuzzled her mate before going to see him. She wanted something to ease the pains and aches she had. She let out a small cough before smelling her way to Sunfeather.

Rasped the old she-cat.
"Have anything for my pains and aches?"

Brokenwing blinked in surprise at Crowscar's words, caught completely off-guard. But it was so sweet of him, and so when he averted his gaze in embarrassment, the grey tabby she-cat nudged his shoulder with her nose gently. She didn't really know what to say, but she hoped that he would understand the gratitude in her striking green eyes.

Ambergaze waited for both of them to grab something, glancing over at the elder's den to check if the retired warriors were indeed there and not somewhere outside. Sure enough, he could see Scarface's pelt through the den entrance and then he noticed Lostheart by the medicine den. The tall warrior hoped Lostheart would be able to come back to the den while he was there with his daughters because he knew how much the old she-cat liked telling the kits various stories.

Badgerpaw approached the patrol when he heard all of the commotion, his fur bristling along his spine when he spotted the intruder. But he didn't say anything, letting the warriors decide what to do with her. The black-and-white apprentice agreed with Speckledust that they should take the she-cat to Ashstar. After all, she didn't look like that much of a threat. With her small build and kittypet scent, she obviously wasn't much of a fighter, and judging by how skinny she was, the she-cat wasn't good at hunting either.

Dawnpaw nodded eagerly, "Yeah! And with me as deputy, we will be unstoppable!" She could just see it, Nightpaw up on the Highrock, and herself just below, standing proudly in her position as deputy. Sootnose's voice made her snap out of their daydream and the cream-furred she-cat focused on the warrior. "How about the training hollow ? That way no one has the advantage since we will all be on even terrain that we are all familiar with." She offered, tilting her head slightly to the side in question.

Dovesong sat by the fresh-kill pile, having woken up a bit sooner than the others. In the past couple of days she would inexplicably wake up sometime before dawn and couldn't go back to sleep, so she spent her mornings either helping out around camp or hunting.

Ashstar nodded with approval. It seemed as though his apprentice was more prepared this time. "Very good, Cloudypaw." He smirked. His gaze locked onto the she-cat, watching as she prepared to strike back at him. As she flung himself at him, a small smile rested on his muzzle. He jumped back as she swiped at his ear. "You're doing much better now." The tom gave his apprentice a moment to gather herself. "How well can you defend yourself, though?" He began to pelt towards his apprentice, preparing to attack her. As the distance between them closed, he leaned in to bite the side of her neck, careful to avoid the throat.

Mouseberry smiled at the apprentice for a moment before turning to fix her attention on the patrol. It seemed as though everyone else had picked up on something. Raising her nose a little, she took in the smell of the surrounding territory. What was everyone smelling? Her jaws parted, allowing the taste of things nearby to flood her tongue. There it is... Breaking the silence, she meowed, "We need to report this to Dappledheart and Ashstar when we get back to camp." Her gaze drifted to Spiritwhisker and then to Lionfang and Stormypaw, wondering if the others would agree with her.

Nightpaw chuckled at Dawnpaw's enthusiasm. Though it would be hard to find a deputy as good as Dappledheart, he had full confidence in his fellow apprentice. His attention turned towards Sootnose as the she-cat spoke. His head nodded in agreement with Dawnpaw's suggestion. "I agree. That'll probably be the best place." The tom's gaze shifted towards Darkpaw who was being oddly quiet once again. Shaking it off, his head turned towards Dawnpaw. "Not that it matters though." He smirked. "I could be you all no matter where we battle!" The tip of his tail twitched excitedly.

Falconblaze growled as he looked at Flint. Why wouldn't he fight? Why was he acting so mysterious? All of this made him angry. His eyes widened as the tom darted towards camp. "Hey!" He spat. Turning back to Ashpaw, he hissed. "What is his problem!?" He shook his head. "What is his purpose of being here? What does he want with you and Emberclan?" Looking back towards the direction the tom ran off, he felt clueless as to what to do now. "We can't let him get into camp." Falconblaze's tail thrashed around violently. "Come on, Ashpaw. You can explain while we head back to camp." Pelting on ahead, the tom made a direct path to camp.

Speckledust shook his head. "You're right. That isn't our problem." His eyes narrowed. "However, I'd still rather not have Emberclan be known as a clan that kills trespassing kits." The tom let out a sigh. "It just doesn't have a nice sound to it." His eyes locked onto the she-cat for a moment, thinking of how to transport her to camp. "There are three of us here." He looked over at Badgerpaw. "We'll lead her back to camp together to ensure she doesn't escape. How does that sound?" The bengal tom looked at Paletiger. "You and I can stand on each side of her and Badgerpaw can take up behind her."

Ryebreeze couldn't help but smile at the she-cat's enthusiasm. He quickly followed after her, not caring where the two went. He made sure to keep a steady pace with her. From time to time his pelt would brush against Cherryblossom's. Her speaking startled him a little at first. "My day has been fine thus far." He gave a shy smile. "Nothing too dramatic. What about you?"

Honeykit looked over at Sagekit with wide eyes. "Sneak out?" She whispered. "We'll get into so much trouble!" A frown formed on her muzzle. "Mama is already going to be upset when she wakes up and finds we aren't in the nursery..." The small she-cat let out a heavy sigh.

Honeykit's ears perked as she noticed her father had come to a halt. Her gaze climbed up the tom's body, hesitant at first to meet his eyes. With a soft sigh, she padded forward. A plump vole sat near the bottom of the pile, close enough for her to reach. Putting all of her efforts forth, she tugged at the vole, pulling it off of the pile. Wow! It's so heavy! The small white and orange she-cat looked over at her sister, waiting for her.

Ashpaw flinched softly, she wasn't use to seeing Faclonblaze this angry. Ashpaw felt confused, hopeless. She couldn't do anything but run away could she, the young apprentice closed her eyes looking a bit hurt as he threw random questions about Flint's purpose of being here. She wished the ground underneath her would crack open and swallow her whole into darkness. Guilt settled in her stomach like a boulder, why was this happening? Why wouldn't her father listen? The more she questioned the farther Faclonbreeze got ahead of her. 'Would he be mad with me if I stood here? Will Ashstar kick me out of the clan if he kills someone?' Tears threatened to fall as her paws trembled refusing to move an inch. "I have to go, after what everyone has done..I can't forgive myself if someone gets hurt because of my problems." Ashpaw whispered to herself turning her head towards where the direction of camp was. She didn't care if she died doing so. At least she would be doing something better than standing here and crying. The grey she cat stepped forward exhaling and inhaling. She took a deep breath out and ran after Faclonbreeze.

The spotted tom was currently on a solo hunt when he narrowed his green eyes at a rather fat mouse was gnawing on a seed under a oak tree. Getting into a hunters crouch, he started for the rodent, his paws falling silently on the ground beneath him. As he moved forwards he then held his breath before launching himself at the unsuspecting prey and securing a easy kill for the tom. As he then went to bury the mouse, his ears perked up at the scent of his fellow warrior, Fawnwillow.

The mischievous young tomcat was currently trying to sneak up on the unsuspecting Tigerlily. The large cat had noticed the she-cat leave the camp, seemingly as if she didn't want to be seen. Knowing that he'll probably get into some trouble for not being with his mentor, the grey tabby knew he would just lie and say that he was trying to go hunt with the older warrior. Once he noticed that she seemingly was just sitting waiting for someone, he crouched and braced himself before launching himself at the warrior, purring loudly with his claws sheathed. "Whatcha doin' Tigerlily?"

She yowled as the snake's fangs grazed her leg. She panicked as she could feel the wound bleed slightly. She had never been in a real fight before; this blood was an entirely new scent. Her pulse thrumming away in her ears, she jumped backwards to avoid the beast's next strike, and then she took off, back towards camp.

When she was certain that she had gotten away, she cringed, looking down at her wounded leg. The gash was shallow, but it was still quite noticeable. Her ears flattened in fear. If I don't go to the Medicine Cat, I can't get patched up, and I don't know how to heal on my own - but if I do, the adults will definitely know that I abandoned the Nursery to try to go hunting! She sat down, rooted to the spot and plagued with indecision.

"It'll probably be just fine," he commented, but he was only half-listening to himself; he just couldn't believe it. The mate-assigning was RANDOM? Why in the good name of StarClan was it so firm a rule, then? If it had no true logical grounding, why did it stay in effect for so many cats that were so unhappy with it? He clamped his jaw to avoid voicing any of these thoughts.

What an inconvinience... he thought, as he reached a last bit of distance from Limeleaf's location. Raising his head from the scent trail, he saw her - looking quite elegant as she sat atop a rock and gazed at the horizon. He was about to speak, before he stopped himself. He had to admit, she looked rather peaceful. Giving a soft shy of reluctant acceptance, he moved close to her rock before seating himself in the grass, simply enjoying her presence as he waited for her to acknowledge him on her own time.
