Ashpaw contiued to climbing up the tree and jumped onto the lowest branch that Faclonblaze told her to go on. Flicking her tail Ashpaw felt as if someone was watching her when her back was turned to Faclonblaze but simply waved it off thinking of it as nothing. Which it was. Ashpaw stared up at the tree as she kept her balance steady on the branch hoping she would lose her grib and fall down.

Ashstar took a step back. A disappointed look washed over his face. "Where was your mind, Cloudypaw?" He shook his head. "You have to be ready for an attack at all times." The tom snickered. "Next time I expect you'll be more prepared." He lowered his body to the ground. "We'll work on surprise attacks later. For now, let's pretend like I'm a badger invading camp. What are you going to do in this situation?" His body took the form of a badger the best he could. With an evil grin on his muzzle, he began to approach his apprentice, ready to strike down the side of her body.

Mouseberry padded over to where the other cats were sitting. She offered them a warm smile. "Hello Lionfang and Stormypaw." The she-cat dipped her head in greeting. Looking back at Spiritwhisker, she followed after her. As she made her way out of the camp entrance she took a deep breath. There was nothing quite like breathing in the fresh air of a warm greenleaf day. Over the past thirty-three moons, she had learned to make full use out of warm days. It wouldn't be too long before the dreaded leafbare would arrive.

Nightpaw grew excited as Sootnose made her way over to where the others were gathered. He looked over at Dawnpaw. "The three of us could definitely take down Riverbriar and Sootnose!" Chuckling, he glanced at Darkpaw. "Don't you think so, Darkpaw?" At Sootnose's suggestion, he turned to face his mentor. "We can just apologize later! Ryebreeze won't care! He's probably busy with Cherryblossom!" The tom urged. "I want to go now!"

Falconblaze watched as Ashpaw made her attempt at climbing the tree. "Impressive." He smirked. "You seem to have a natural ability for tree climbing." The tom's mouth began to water, "Just like squirrels..." He looked up at Ashpaw, his eyes shining with pride. Suddenly, a strange smell could be detected. His eyes widened and ears perked. "Ashpaw. Get down. Now." He commanded, hissing. "I smell an unfamiliar presence."

Speckledust quickly ended the life of the plump squirrel. He padded away to bury it with his other catch. Upon burying the prey, the scent of unfamiliar cat flooded into his nostrils. Every part of his body went into alert mode. The tom pelted towards the smell. His eyes widened at the sight of a small cat. "Who is this?" He asked in a confused tone. "Don't hurt her, Paletiger." The tom looked at his clanmate. "She's far too young to defend herself."

Ryebreeze couldn't help but smile at the she-cat's enthusiasm. He quickly followed after her, not caring where the two went. He made sure to keep a steady pace with her. From time to time his pelt would brush against Cherryblossom's. Her speaking startled him a little at first. "My day has been fine thus far." He gave a shy smile. "Nothing too dramatic. What about you?"

The cats here are noble, and quite worthy of their warrior titles." Suddenly, his ears drooped. I don't know if that's true of Heatherfrost - then again, I know nothing about her. He quickly gathered his thoughts, and meowed, "I am still young, so I haven't experienced everything that EmberClan has to offer yet, but it'll be as fine as you make it out to be, I'm sure. Having an apprentice, friends, a -" he hesitated for a moment, "mate."

Just as she was approaching the Medicine Cat's den, she became aware of Patchpelt behind her. She gave a soft mew before turning to face him. Her gut clenched at the thought of how this conversation would go; Patchpelt was a notorious flirt. If she sent him off, he would probably go hit on some other poor she-cat, but if she listened to him...well, that option was just much less desirable.

He straightened himself up in the presence of this revered warrior. "Hello, Singedeyes. You're looking positively radiant today, aren't you?" He gave a huge, toothy smile - not that she would notice it, he thought smugly - and continued, "What does a cat with your abundance of skill need with Firewillow?"

"Just a bit of vision testing," she murmured, fully masking her discomfort. She took note of his interested posture, and swiftly added, "Do you know where Limeleaf is, Patchpelt?"

He quickly ceased his beaming. "Ah, yes, my new mate - a lovely she-cat, that one." About as lovely as any other she-cat, anyways, he was tempted to say. "I was actually just looking for her. Have a nice day, Singedeyes, and good luck." With that, he bowed his head, and then raised it proudly high as he turned and padded off, just before it hit him that he actually probably should've known where Limeleaf was. He hurried along.

Just as he was preparing to bite down on the tiny kittypet, he looked up to see Speckledust. He didn't resume his attack, but he did keep his claw on her neck to keep her down. "That shouldn't be of much importance, Speckledust. She's an intruder - and not just an innocent, clueless one. She's come here several times, even after explicit warnings." He never usually spoke so much, but something about the she-kit irked him. Perhaps it was just because no cat had defied him so many times before.

She squirmed under Paletiger's massive paw as the strange cats spoke, but the effort was futile. She then bit down on his toe in desperation, as hard as she could - an action that he hardly seemed to take notice of at all. She gave a muffled squeak as his claws nearly pierced her pelt to keep her neck pinned.

Ashpaw felt a bit awkward when he called her a squirrel in some sorts due to her climbing abilities. But she tried not to think about that too much since she didn't want to make herself overwhelmed if her mentor was making a joke or not. But she did feel a rush of pride waver throughout her when Faclonblaze looked at her his eyes shining with a hint of pride. She was glad that she could at least make him proud of her as she tried to do her best and catch up with every other apprentice when it came to training. Of course, good times didn't seem to last long. Faclonblaze's expression changed quickly and commanded for her to get down. Ashpaw perked up and panicked up when she heard a voice. Scared out of her fur Ashpaw watched a familiar pelt flash past her causing her to jump up in surprise. She couldn't remember who this feline was, there voice sounded somewhat familiar but nothing came to mind. Snapping out of her thoughts she looked around rapidly her paws trembling softly. She was too afraid to move, too many questions flooded her mind at once she looked overwhelmed. Scared of a cat? Only if she knew who it was. The grey she cat shook her head and jumped down messily onto the ground "F-Faclonblaze I want to go n-now.." Ashpaw meowed backing away her tail tucked in between her legs.

She walked toward the stream which was near the borders, taking a small drink she jumped into to a large rock and sit on it, watching the distance. She enjoyed to be out of the forest like this, as being inside the camp was very depressing to her. She didn't want to see Ashstars happiness with his mate or how her own mate Patchpelt flirted with any she-cat he walked past By, It maked her feel so unwanted, needless and mostly a old cat who is just waiting to join the starclan.

Riverbriar grin "Oh you know me Dawnpaw, I love company! The more the merrier!" she replied. She chuckled "Don't have to ask me twice, I think Sootnose and I could make a fabulous team. Though if we have to go head to head i'm not so sure we could beat three of you.." she purred warmly glancing over at Darkpaw hoping he knew she was trying to include him. "I'm ready to go whenever you want." she said glancing up as Sootnose came over to join them.

Riverbriar nodded to Nightpaw "Sounds good to me, I'll apologize for us Sootnose. We'll just tell 'em I took Darkpaw out and it was my idea." she said. Glancing between the three apprentices again she smiled "Well with that out of the way why don't we all head out? So we can get some more room for your training. Besides i'd hate for the whole clan to see me get taken down." she laughed before she moved to the camp entrance pausing there and waiting for them.

Sootnose slowly stood up and made her way over to her apprentice and the cats gathered around him. She smiled warmly at Riverbriar, the outgoing she-cat was someone she usually felt comfortable around despite how blunt and honest she could be. "Darkpaw, I could ask your mentor for you or if they're not around we could apologize when we get back?" she offered softly. She didn't want to get the apprentice in trouble but she didn't want him to have to be separated from the others when he seemed to finally be around friends.

Sootnose glanced between Nightpaw and Riverbriar then nodded, satisfied with the decision. Though she didn't think Darkpaw's mentor would mind she wasn't jumping at the chance to go tell on herself so she was relieved that Riverbriar would. "Sounds good." she giggled then "Yeah I don't want them to see that either." she replied. The small black and white she-cat trotted after Riverbriar then glancing back at the apprentices.

There must be some secret to making this sort of thing work.. If there was he wished he knew it at least.

Rainypaw slowly walked around camp, surveying everything with bright curious eyes. This is what medicine cat's did right? Check up on their clanmates? She paused, glancing into the apprentice's den. She'd only been inside a few times to visit her siblings as she'd never spent a day training to be a warrior. She'd known her destiny pretty early on and resided in the medicine cat's den with the others. But today it seemed someone was still in there.. She frowned and poked her head in "Beetlepaw?" she called out to him concern lacing her voice "Are you alright? What are you still doing in here?" she asked.

"Hey Mouseberry." he replied dipping his head respectfully to the warrior. Mouseberry wasn't someone he got to be around much either. But in a few short moons he should be a warrior just like Spiritwhisker and Mouseberry so he supposed he needed to get to know them too just as much as the cats around his own age. He followed after Spiritwhisker glancing around curiously as they left.
