Tell us about your Holiday traditions!


Tess and Nick celebrate Christmas on the beach, since it's Summer time in New Zealand!

We start the morning by opening our Christmas stockings to see what Santa has brought us. Then after everyone has eaten breakfast we can all open our presents! We have a big Christmas lunch as a family, and then our friend Dianne joins us at the beach in the afternoon. I usually spend all day eating chocolate and spoiling my appetite for dinner

Lucky Tess, I usually invite some guests over to my house and we buy presents for our cousins. There is a party and everything, then we all usually stay up at one and then sleep over. I love making the meal for my family!

Well, a tradition that my family and I do is that we wrap my bedroom doorway in wrapping paper on christmas eve when I'm sleeping. That way, when it's christmas, I can't sneak out of my room to see the presents! It's really fun to burst through the wrapping paper in the morning..Like I am a gift!

I usually wake up at like 6:00 a.m. and wait for my parents to get up. My mom starts our traditional breakfast pizza and then finally, by like 8:00 a.m. we open our presents. Then we go to my aunt and uncle's house for another Christmas. Then after that go to another Christmas party at my other aunt and uncle's house. XD

do you get any time off school/work? How do you like to spend your day off?

first, we wake up, eat breakfast, then we open up presents. After we open up presents, we relax for a bit and drive down to my aunts, bringing some presents with us, we eat lunch and open up more presents there. Lastly, we pack up some more presents that are for my cousins and aunt, and we drive down to my aunts to eat dinner and open up last presents

wow, that was a handful to write xD. we move ALOT during christmas, and after christmas, we even have an after-christmas party xDD


we also have this really cool pickle ornament. whoever finds it first on christmas, gets an extra gift xD
