Tell us about your Holiday traditions!

[Novastronomy]

Christmas Eve we get one present to open up which my brothers and I always get pajamas, a toothbrush, and hot cocoa.
Then Christmas morning we usually wake up at 5:00 am, open presents, and chat.
Afterwards my mom either makes breakfast and hot cocoa or my dad takes us out for breakfast. After breakfast I mess with all of the new stuff I got ^^

Stay up all night with my little sis, watching christmas movies with a steaming cup of hot coccoa.

We always bake many treats, with some variants-mint bar brownies and candy-cane coffee cake being the two ones we plan to do every year through the unforeseeable future. A couple weeks before we sit and watch our church's Christmas Devotional and eat treats. On Christmas Eve we have taco soup, open one present each (pajamas) and listen to "The Night Before Christmas". We used to have the tradition of only being able to go downstairs on Christmas Day to get our stockings after my parents turned on Christmas music, but that changed to a set time after they forgot one year. We have ebelskivers for breakfast and munch on those whilst opening presents.

This year is new for me; because my mother and father divorced, we split Christmas. Who knows what will happen!

Anyways, in past years, on Christmas Eve, we would all choose one present to open before bedtime. After we would make a card for Santa and set up cookies and milk. Then, on Christmas morning, we would gather up in our parent's room and watch on the TV until everyone was awake. (I was always the last one to wake up xD) When that happened, my mom would be the first to head downstairs and take pictures; we would head to the couch where santa left our presents and stockings, as we had no fireplace. After our mom took pictures, we would open the gifts that Santa brought us while she'd make crepes. Yum! After breakfast, we would open our presents under the tree and play with our toys, eat candy, and hang out the rest of the day.

I really wish that our traditions would stay the same, but I am up for the challenge. :)

On Christmas Eve, my family goes to a candle lit service at our church. Then we go home to eat a big dinner and watch the movie the Polar Express. We then open small gifts from the elves. In the morning we open Santa gifts and stockings, followed by a big breakfast. After breakfast we open the rest of the gifts. The rest of the day is spent with gifts and going outside to play sports (it's hot where I live, even in the winter).

everyone on my moms and dads side of the family come over and we all eat dinner and talk and open presents then when we wake up in the morning we open more presents and hopefully we can go on a trail ride this year with our horses on christmas day

Well me and my family hang. Out watch The Grinch and other holiday movies and make cookies and Tamales and stuff like that.

On Christmas eve I go to church and then to my Grandparents house. I see a ton of relatives and "santa" even comes (quotes because he is obviously busy delivering gifts to other people by then) We get home late that night, but my sisters and I cant hardly fall asleep. Who can blame us? Arent we all excited to see what the next morning holds? Anyway, the next day my Grandparents come to my house for Christmas. Also some of my aunts and uncles and other relatives. My sisters and I open presents bright and early in the morning (pretty much dragging my parents out of their bed) and exchange gifts with each other and our relatives as well. It's a busy day and I dont even remember eating lunch xD. It's Presents, stockings (candy) breakfast, toys/gifts, giving our presents, then appreciating/playing with what we got, and then comes dinner. It's a ton of fun, and I hope everyone else has a Merry Christmas as well!

ps- This year might be different, because I see the waves are going to be good! I'll probably be able to sneak in a Christmas eve- Christmas day surf in! Wish me Luck! Lets hope santa brought some waves along with whatever else is left under the tree!

Second year with my step family, third year with my dad. Yay, this Christmas Eve I will be at my moms/grandmas!

Christmas Eve: Go to my grandmas with my moms, start making my sweet stash slowly and wait for everyone else. My great aunts and uncles, great grandparents, cousins, so on. They hang out for a bit while I am aqwardly standing in the living room, staring at the piles of gifts, bringing out the bingo, or munching on some cookies from my stash. Then we start playing bingo/Chinese gift. There are three piles of gifts; men, woman, or kids ( usually only one because I am the only 'child' in the family, but now I have my annoying half sister ). We start the game, end it bah blah. Then, I get to open one small gift ( I did one already, a clam in a can! There was a pearl in it and it came with a turtle necklace to put the pearl in) and then some people start leaving, and I am still eating, getting hugs and kisses goodbye from those who are leaving, then after that I go to bed

Christmas: Wake up in the morning, my grandma already up and my mom sleeping. I wake up my mom and go to the living room, where I sit down on the floor with a blanket and pull out a gift and open them, then play with them while the rest of my family is opening their presents. Then at 12 I go to my dads, open the presents there, then go to my step grandmas house and open preasents there
