What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

I still stand by mine. Japan vacation. All the Japanese themes, both cultural like kimonos and kabuki, samurai armor and swords, and modern, like tamagotchi and anime style etc; perhaps the core of event being the clash between modern and cultural.
Japanese dog breeds like akita, tosa, shiba, kai ken. Meme animals.
Various kinds of Yokai - Japanese folklore entities and spirits.
Horned beetled because Kabuto Mushi\Kuwagata - keeping live horned beetles - is a popular kid thing in Japan.
Giant Robot styled pets - blocky like the classic robot animes.
Super Team styled pets, sort of like Power Rangers, which is a copy of original Japanese theme of Kamen Riders. A "rainbow set of armored warriors" style of show originated in Japan!
"SmoothieMons" kind of pets inspired by Pokemon/Digimon/All the various "monsters contained in small objects", which is also a trend born in Japan from the popular capsule vending machines containing small collectible toys in them (pokemon was created after those). I can totally see smoothie bottles growing into Smoothie Mons
More flavours of Pocky!! and overall Japanese food, like sushi.

I love anime and a lot of the pets on the site give me anime vibes, I would LOVE to see this!!

Exploring ancient ruins in search of treasure, Indiana Jones style. Could find all sorts like jewelled statues, gold coins, jewellery and other such things. Could even go the cursed treasure route

Elements theme. Like fire, water, earth and wind. You can add a light or darkness theme.

Let me explain
Fire, earth are dark elements
Water wind are light elements
But every element has a light and dark side

We could make user pick their element or the site could pick it for them with a bunch of questions. Whatever they pick they stay that element. Sort of like harry potter theme. But with elements. I dunno if you could implement this idea but I would love this idea.

Another idea is a mad science theme. Experiments etc.

What about a spiritual event. Like with voodoo, ghosts. I know you breach this idea at Halloween but a whole themed event would be nice.

Would equally love this one. You can do a lot of things with this.

If it has to. Be camping, maybe camping In Japan. There plenty of space. Sakura trees. All my ideas could be implemented into camping somewhat.

some ideas i would love to see:

-'collectors' theme: something that celebrates both the varied collections on cs as well as real-life hobbies. items could include pet-sized rocks/shells, dolls & action figures (new in box and opened), trading cards of cs mascots and pets (with there being a rarer special card outcome)- some cards could even be tokens and the trade-ins would be like trading pokemon cards! shelves to display items/pets (eg. an animal egg display case) and a convention angle with con tables could be cool too (maybe reference the og cs store?). and for pets, maybe a litter of fan-favorite species in cs website or special release pet color palettes, or 2nd or 3rd gen pets based on some of the most popular litters. maybe beanie baby/webkinz style plush pets as well? the storyline could be totoro going to conventions to find a grail item or something similar

-'retro scrapbook' theme (think time travel but looking back with totoro's ancestors or something to differentiate it from the cave event) that leans more into 20th-century fashion, pop culture, and inventions. pets and items that represent different decades (each day in the event could unlock a new time/setting). black and white pets, mod-style shift dresses, jukeboxes, an 80s mall background, etc. there's a super wide range of possibilities to choose from here with history throughout many different countries (i’m thinking of beatles moptop wigs for 60s uk, haha) so it would be really cool to see what the team would pick, and you could easily incorporate multiple different suggestions into the overall story (ie a noir/movie section). at the end of the event you could get an actual scrapbook item as a keepsake.

-arctic expedition/ice theme with ice sculpture pets, yetis, polar bears, parkas & climbing gear, glaciers, and an ice castle & dress a la frozen

We really need a good set of western cowboy items. The event could take place on a ranch where we take small jobs to earn the tokens that will allow us to enter into a 4H-esque contest. There could also be cows that have to be rounded up and checked for brands, and you corral them into the correct farms. Kind of like the ducky bobbing game of the carnival. What about a Root Beer saloon with fun dancing lessons with an addition of costume dress-up? I vote Western!

Though seeing the collection idea, it makes me think of a cool antique store that the users of Chicken Smoothie try to help 'get back on the map', to be more popular. Trading in items in use, or tokens you gain from the banner. Or cleaning up the store to earn some tokens or pets!

that would actually be so cute! you could get a literal dust bunny litter on the first day or pets that start as old toys and get 'restored' as they grow up. antique style cabinets and that sort of thing would be adorable as items too.

What if we had a Japanese summer festival inspired event?

Activities: There could be festival masks, goldfish scooping, bug catching, festival treats, and a fireworks show.

Plot: Perhaps we have to stop the yokai(Japanese spirits) from causing mischief to the festival similar to the fae event? Maybe it turns out they weren’t being malicious, but they just wanted to be included in the festival fun. By the end of it, we all get together and watch the fireworks show.

It would be an awesome look at Japanese culture since we’ve kind of gone everywhere else for the summer events. I’d love to see some spooky/silly yokai themed pets honestly. It seems like a pretty simple theme for the busy staff. It’s also a theme that people of all ages can enjoy since the last few events have felt aimed more towards younger school aged members. They were a little hard for me to connect with as an adult member. I felt patronized a little with some of the npcs haha.

Perhaps a different name would be good, but post-apocalypse themes are pretty neat! It's not always doom and gloom - while we could have glowy radioactive-looking pets etc., there could also be some dedicated to nature/life returning and flourishing~ I can imagine some gorgeous backgrounds with plants growing over a bridge or something.
