What would be your dream Summer Event theme??

Camp and cryptids were always suggested together.

I'm not sure if you meant suggested by posters or in stories or whatever. When I said that cryptids might be cool as an overall theme, I personally didn't mean nor would I have mentioned summer camp. I was never interested in going to a summer camp or anything as a kid, so it never would have occurred to me to combine cryptids with camp. That said, I'm not having too big an issue with the summer event. As long there's at least one unicorn/Pegasus pet at some point, I will be happy lol. Also, I love the squirrels!

I'm personally a bit disappointed at how USA-centric the theme is compared to something more universal like last year's internet event...I loved camping as a kid but the sort of camping I did was very different to the whole American summer camp thing, which the event seems to be exclusively based on at this point. It's not really a big deal as a one-off but I just hope this isn't going to set a precedent for tailoring the events towards more specifically North American themes. I do like the NPCs and pets though and I'm interested to see where the story goes.

felt. ive never known an aussie who does a camp thing like this. cabin sorting and stuff isnt our thing, i think. its still super cool but i get where this comment is coming from 100%

me personally i feel like itd be super fun to do an amazing race type theme for summer. go to different countries n allthat

A racing themed event would be so cool imo like cars or go karting or smth! Also cryptid hunting would be a one fun too :0

Something childhood play based, like park and make belive items
Pets based on childhood nistolga or games that we're played when we we're kids type stuff I think it would be so cool

We don't even know if they had this event planned already and were looking for ideas for the next one, everyone is assuming the event idea thread was for This one. Plus Everyone needs to remember this game is supposed to be child-friendly. Have a good day.

Well, they made the announcement that they had chose the theme a month or two after this thread was posted, so…

It might be a lot of work than usual but trapped in the manga n anime universe was my original idea although not everyone likes that so maybe a trip through various book worlds including a “Smoothie Jump” magazine with a few tropes or tv universe/multiverse with some anime, maybe all of the above…? A manga/comic book style background and some foreground frames like the Internet event selfie frame item would be neat, also some free pets being some of those funny pointy chinned anime style characters that people used to draw but as dog or cat line edits. Maybe some of the old re-hashing of the list rares as superheroes or storybook characters?
This might be more like two or three ideas but could be one too depending on how it’s done. Traveling through book n shows world? Maybe a book vs movies thing like the nightmares vs dreamland event?

Ok? My point was that everyone is going on about the event when it's not up to the individual player, the staff probably counted how many posts were about each suggestion and picked the one with the most votes. Now let's start suggestions for the next event.
