Ah, I see you are finally ready to start your Pokemon journey? Well, go on then! Go over to the professor! She'll give you a pokemon to start with, and then your off! During your travels, you can challenge gyms, battle trainers, battle and catch wild pokemon, train your pokemon, and even solve some mysteries! Sounds fun, right? Well, first, here are the rules!

--

1- Follow CS Rules
2- seedcakes is the only staff on this thread- minimodding is not permitted, and do not ask to be staff!
3- Please use proper english. I understand if it is not your first language, but don't write 'pls g1v m3 pkemon n0w'
4- Don't copy this, please. I spent a long time on the coding. If you want to make something similar, PM me.
5- I will roll all of the generators, don't be upset if a pokemon you don't like appears.
6- Don't rush me to post results, I can't be on CS all the time.
7- Please use the coding whenever you post, you can add an 'ooc' section to your posts if needed. If you want to ask something before posting, pm seed.
8- Don't quote seed's posts. Please only quote if you are interacting. Otherwise, it takes up uneeded space.
I reserve the right to add more if needed

I was inspiried to make this by kaden's Create-A-Clan, and asked permission before making this

How To Play

Postby eltonn » Sun Aug 14, 2016 11:34 am

For your first post, write a short introduction for your character. Your character is a human, but please include their gender, age, name, looks, hometown, and personality if you can. You can even write down their history if you want to. Then, I will give you a random pokemon as your starter, and you may start posting normally!

Example of a good first post:
'Hello! My character is a girl from Lumiose City named Stevie! She has braided red hair, and green eyes, as well as freckles dotting her face. Stevie is normally a sweet girl, but she is quick to anger, and has a fiery temper. Her favorite type is fire type, as well as poison types, and she is afraid of ghost types.

Example of a bad first post:
'Bob is a kind boy from pallet town and he has black hair.'

Here is the normal post format (you must use this for every post after your first one!)

Code: Select all
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxNAMEGENDER || AGE || Hometown: HERE

Lvl. here Nickname (Species) β™‚/♀/βšͺ
    -- Nature // Ability
  -move
  -move
  -move
  -move

Pokeball x5
item
item
item

 post here

On your post section, you must write what your character is doing. It can be in third or first person, I don't mind. There are currently thre things you can do:

Training
You train your pokemon. I roll the generator, and your pokemon will gain some levels, with the chance of finding a wild pokemon or items! If you run into a wild pokemon, you can battle or catch it! (seedcake's generator decides if you win or not, and if you catch it or not) You may train once a day.

Challenge a gym!
You can challenge the next gym! You must challenge them in order, and you can only challenge them if your levels are close. You cannot challenge a gym with lvl 45 pokemon if your pokemon are level 39 or lower. Your strongest pokemon must be at least three levels away from the weakest pokemon at the gym to challenge it. Once you beat all the gyms, you can challenge the pokemon league! For the League, I suggest you stock up on revives and potions. You may challenge a gym or the league once a day

*NEW* Interact
Have you already trained for the day but still want to post? You can walk around and talk to other players! You may do this as frequently as you want. Whenever you interact, there is a 10% chance that something will happen, such as training together or finding wild pokemon! If you find a wild pokemon while interacting, you both will have a chance to catch it.

Leaderboards

Postby eltonn » Sun Aug 14, 2016 11:35 am

Image

Only the best trainers get up here. The leaderboards are updated whenever someone beats the Pokemon League. A new spot will be added every time someone beats the League. It will show everyone who has defeated the League in the order they defeated them. You want to raise your ranking on the board? Send a PM to seedcakes and the person you want to challenge, and if you both accept then a battle will commence! The winner will get the spot of whoever held a higher position, and the loser will move down one spot.

It is said to have the ability to grant any wish for just one week every thousand years.

You feel your pokedex begin to buzz. Curious, you take it out, and see the professor's face blinking on the screen! It seems the professor is calling you. Hitting the green 'answer' button, you are greeted by the professor's excited face. "Hello young trainer! I have some exciting news! It seems that a legendary pokemon, Jirachi, has been spotted in the area! This is monumental!" You open your mouth to ask a question, but the professor shushes you. "Wait, wait! I'll take questions in a moment! But first I must finish telling you the rest of the news! Jirachi has the ability to grant any wish to a trainer! Yes, any wish! Isn't that remarkable? Now, if you manage to find Jirachi, you could probably wish for something! Good luck!" Without bothering waiting for your question, the professor ends the call, presumably to share the news with another trainer. You look up to the sky, your eyes filled with wonder. Jirachi....

Rules:
1- You may only make a wish once per week.
2- You cannot wish for something huge, like a legendary pokemon or a masterball. be reasonable. Jirachi needs enough energy to grant all the wishes that it is requested.
Examples of a good wish:
good wish wrote:I would like some better pokeballs

good wish wrote:I want my chances of finding a shiny boosted

good wish wrote:I really want to find a wild smeargle

Examples of a bad wish:
bad wish wrote:I want 10 ultra balls and 4 heal balls

bad wish wrote:I would like the rest of the pokemon i catch to be shiny

bad wish wrote:give me entai

Jirachi has a main hiding place, which I have mentioned in a few of my writings on here. If you figure out the main hiding place, you have a 100% chance of finding Jirachi and will get three wishes. Once the main hiding place is found, it will be moved to a new area.
To search, you just say where you would like to search somewhere in your post! For example, "I would like to search for Jirachi in the bushes near the doors of the pokemon lab!" or "I would like to search in the pond for Jirachi!". You could even be very broad and say "I would like to search the whole forest!" However, you will not find the main hiding place searching the whole forest or entire lab. When you search, there is a 1/3 chance you will find Jirachi unless you find the main hiding place.

This event will be running until December 23rd!

Generators?

Postby eltonn » Sun Aug 14, 2016 11:42 am

Image

Many generators are used in order to keep this game interesting. Here, you can read about each generator and how it is used (it's also so seed doesn't forget the generators.. aha..). Two sites are used: http://randompokemon.com/ and http://www.random.org.

Training
A generator is rolled, 1-5. Odd numbers mean your pokemon gained one level, and even means it gained two levels. If a 4 is rolled, then you also find an item! If a 5 is rolled, a wild pokemon will appear! In your next post, you can either battle it or catch it. Sometimes, instead of finding a wild pokemon, you can find an egg! (This only happens when seed decides). Also, if a 1, 2, or 3 is rolled, there is a 10% chance that something random will happen!

Interacting
A generator is rolled, 1-10. If it rolls a 3, something happens! A second generator is then rolled, 1-5. 1-4 means you trained together, and another generator, 1-2, is rolled for each of your pokemon to see how many levels they earned. If a 5 is rolled, a wild pokemon appears! This will then act as a normal Wild Pokemon, except that everyone that was part of the interaction has a chance to catch it! If multiple people want to catch it, a generator is rolled to see who's pokeball hits it. If the pokemon escapes from that pokeball, the other person's pokeball will hit it. If that also fails, then you will have another post to try again.

Battling Wild Pokemon
If you find a wild pokemon and battle it, a few things can happen. A generator is rolled, 1-3. If you have a type advantage, rolling a 1 or 2 means you win the battle, and a 3 means you lose. If you are at a disadvantage, a 1 or 2 means you lose, and a 3 means you win. If the types are neutral, then a 1 means you win, a 2 means you lose, and a 3 means that the generator is rolled again.

Running Away
If you run into a Wild Pokemon that you do not want to battle or catch, you can simply run away.

Catching Wild Pokemon
Ok! Time to catch this guy! You must have a pokeball of some sort in your bag, and throw it at the pokemon. A generator is rolled, 1-3. 1 or 2 means you catch it, and 3 means you don't. The type of pokeball does not matter, however, a Masterball will catch a pokemon 100% of the time.

Gyms!
If you choose to challenge a gym, a generator is rolled, 1-6. If you have a type advantage, 1-4 means you win! If you have a disadvantage, 1-4 means you loose! If the types are neutral, then 1-3 means you win. The generator is rolled for each pokemon, and you challenge the gym in the order they are listed on your post. The Pokemon League works the same way as Gyms do.

Shinies!
For every pokemon that is generated, a generator is rolled, 1-30. If it rolls a 3, the pokemon is shiny.

Alolan Forms!
If a pokemon has an Alolan form, there is a 50% chance it will be the alolan form.

How do you pick the pokemon?
When a wild pokemon appears, I roll the random pokemon generator linked above, then roll a generator 1-6. I then roll for the ability and gender, and it's level is rolled based on the level of your pokemon. It is given the strongest moves it can learn at that level.

The Farm

If you catch more than 6 pokemon, they will be sent to the farm.
The farm is a nice field with sections that correlate to each type in order to maximize a pokemon's happiness.
This is pretty much a PC.
