I love Fire types, but Typhlosion's move pool is seriously limited, and that's because it's a pure Fire type. Every other Fire type Starter gains a type at some point after evolving, although Fighting is the most common with three different starter families gaining the type after evolving once, the move pools still grow after gaining a type. Torchic, Chimchar, and Tepig have limited move pools in terms of typing, but once they evolve, they gain a variety of different moves. All three of them can learn Thunder Punch which gives them a chance against Water and Flying types, and some of them can learn moves like Shadow Claw, giving them a chance against Psychic types. While I believe it is possible for Typhlosion to learn Thunder Punch, it still isn't as effective as the others, and it learns very few moves that give it an edge on Rock or Ground types. I'm not sure about this, but it might be possible to get rid of any weaknesses through the use of Burn Up, since if a pure Fire type uses the move, it becomes typeless, but I'm not sure if that has any effects on its previous weaknesses.
Does Shadow Lugia count as it's own Pokemon? If not, Lugia
@Firestrike: Would it be ok if I make a Rate the Shiny Coloration game?
