Squirrelstar padded into the clearing, her pelt ruffled from worry. "Magpienose, would it be alright if I joined one of the patrols?" She mewed to the deputy.

Acornpaw noticed the leader and her ears flattened a slight bit. If her new mentor was going on patrol, would that mean she had to leave the idea of spending time with Vixentail behind? With the murderer still lurking around, who knew when she would ever be able to be with the queen again.

Blackpaw's mind was reeling, his dreams turned nightmares with the thought of a murderer among them. It was scary and though he normally he'd pretend not to care, he really was worried for his clan. He woke up to Spiritwish trying to wake Oceanpaw and asked, "Mind if I join you on the patrol?" He asked, just wanting to get out and get some fresh air.

The queen blinked down at the small kit as she held up a feather. Vixentail smiled brightly at the small kitten, crouching down to Burningkit's height "Thank you, little one. I love it" she purred, picking up the feather when the kit dropped it. She padded back to her nest in the nursery with heavy steps, stuffing the beautiful feather in her nest. "It's very soft, thank you Burningkit" she purred, running her paw over it before waddling back out of the nursery. When she saw the patrol gathering, she frowned. Guess she couldn't go out walking... Maybe after the patrol got back. She nodded softly to herself, and looking towards Acornpaw, who looked slightly troubled "You can go and join the patrol, Acornpaw. I can wait until you get back" Vixentail smiled, waving her fluffy tail back and forth as the patrol set out.

"You'll have to ask your mentor, but it's fine with me." She flicked her ears back, listening to the sound of cats gathering for patrols.
"Actually, I'll see if I can find her. Could you get Oceanpaw up for me?" She asked, turning back to the apprentice.

The small apprentice nodded. "Alright. Hopefully the patrol doesn't take too long then." She replied with a soft smile. Acornpaw then padded up to the leader and the deputy. "One apprentice, reporting for duty!" She faked her excitement. Maybe it would have been real, if the actual murderer hadn't gone after Berryfoot and left the clan to blame Acovetwhisker.

Snowthorn stood up and stretched, before walking out of the den. Some cats were already awake, and she could sense she'd woken late. "Good morning..." She meowed, hesitantly. She was not confident that the murderer had been Avocetwhisker- what if they were still in the clan? had anything happened?
