the tom followed behind the apprentice having to slow his pace so he didn't run ahead.
his mind raced with all the possible ways that the cats could have died.
"badger? no, we would have smelled it. fox? thats even more highly unlikely.-" the tom stopped in his tracks when the next thought hit him. "clan cat..?" he thought.
shaking his head he picked up his pace again to catch up to spottedpaw.

Did she have moss in her ears that were playing tricks on her or did SpottedPaw just say that GrayTail and Ashpaw were dead? No, she thought that's impossible. My ears are just playing tricks on me and SpottedPaw just saw a fox or something. DawnWhisker tried to believe that it wasn't true but her mind knew what was probably the truth.

Following the scent trail she'd used, Spottedpaw stopped when the smell of death was strongest. The turned back to Berrytail, who was just behind her. "They're right through those bushes, in a clearing." she murmured, casting her gaze towards the vegetation that blocked the dead cats from her view.

Blackblood sighed. She was starting to put on some weight, so she left the camp for a walk, maybe even hunt a bit. The warrior hadn't noticed Berrytail and Spottedpaw, mainly because she'd been eating two large mice she had found in the fresh-kill pile. Maybe that was why Blackblood was...well, more plump than other cats.

Mottledleaf woke up from the commotion of her clanmates. She gazed at them, listening to what they were saying.
She had figured out that Graytail and Ashpaw were dead from her clanmates. Her soft eyes watched them, waiting
