Stormleap licked her paw, dragging it across her face as she thought about Foxstride. She hated to exile a fellow Clanmate, but if it prevented more murders, that was what she would have to do. She was contemplating whether she had made the right choice when she heard a small cry. Looking up, she found Silentgaze standing over Turtleheart, who was... asleep, of course. Padding over, she stuttered, in a falsely cheery voice, "H-hey, Turtleheart, what're you doing-" She abruptly cut off after seeing the look on the horrified she-cat's face. Her fake, ignorant attitude dissipated immediately, grief settling over her features. No matter how much I pretend, I can't block out reality...

Stormfeather padded slowly out of the warrior den. She didn't believe Foxstride was guilty, but if he was, it was good they had exiled him. Stopping abruptly, she spotted Turtlestride's body. "Oh no..."

Moonpaw awoke, hearing the soft sounds of other cats speaking outside the den. "What's going on?" she asked sleepily as she padded towards the center of the camp. Seeing Turtleheart, she suddenly froze in her tracks, her ears flattening against her head. "Not again.." she whispered, unable to tear her gaze from the warrior. The apprentice sniffed the air, trying to see if there would be the murder's scent, but she couldn't figure out anything. 'So Foxstride wasn't who it was..' she thought sadly.

Adderkit woke up, paws rubbing his face tiredly. He rolled out of his nest, before trudging outside.
He saw some cats gathering together and he walked over.
"Moonpaw... Did it happen again?" he said scaredly.

Finally turning her head to the kit beside her, Moonpaw nodded her head slowly, still shaking. "We were wrong.. it wasn't Foxstride after all!" she looked up to the sky, her face distressed. "Who could it be?" she murmured, bringing herself to a sitting position. Her eyes were then downcast to the ground as she tried to calm herself.

cherryflame walked into camp, a mouse inbetween her jaws. she had just came back from hunting, and her eyes widened as she saw turtlehearts body and the cats around it. the mouse fell to the ground as she yowled in grief, her eyes closing. "what happened?" she didn't want to believe what she thought was true, they had gotten the wrong cat. she overheard moonpaw and hissed, "this means that a murderer is still in our camp!"
