Frostflower was tired of the terror that had gripped ThunderClan since
the attempted murder of Burningkit. She wanted to rest and forget about
her troubles for a time. Currently, she lay in the dying light near the
warriors' den. Her stomach rumbled and she got up and padded towards
the fresh-kill pile.

In the pile, there were the various catches of the day. Frostflower chose
a plump squirrel. However, there was a strange taste to it. She couldn't
place it until the spasms started. They tore at her insides and she collasped,
unable to breathe.

"Appletwig!" she gasped weakly. Frostflower's eyes closed and she soon died,
poisoned by deathberries.

Willowthorn had heard his mate's struggle, and walked out of the warriors'
den, mildly annoyed. Everything changed when he saw Frostflower's body.

"No!" he cried in shock. But there was no one nearby to hear him. In anguish,
Willowthorn slammed his head against a rock, hard enough that he slipped
into unconciousness. He never woke up and joined Frostflower in StarClan.

Two have been killed at once, ThunderClan! Hurry...before your time runs
out!

[ it seems that spicecookie only voted once, and it was for appletwig, so we should look at cats that share similar characteristics to appletwig (or even appletwig themselves) since acornstar was a witness.

graystar slept alone for the first time in a while in the leader's den, feeling as if she was sleeping in a puddle of blood. she didn't belong here - acornstar should be here. no. she was a murderer - right? graystar refused to accept the other possibility: that she had helped exile their innocent leader and stolen her rank.
when morning broke, graystar remained in the den a tad longer than normal, dreading what was to come. then she forced herself to her paws to check on the clan. as soon as she exited the den, it felt like a strong thorn had been slammed into her heart. frostflower lay dead by the fresh-kill pile, deathberries staining her muzzle, and willowthorn lay nearby, a thin cut on his skull attesting to his death. "no!" she wailed aloud, rushing to them, knowing that they were already gone.

Poppyspots awoke to the blinding light that filtered through the nursery entrance. She slowly got up, careful to not hurt herself or her unborn kits.
She was confused. Was Acornstar truly the killer? That gave her an answer, when she saw two bodies laying in the center of camp. She screamed, tail curling in between her legs.
