Icepaw scrambled up and nodded thanks to Tumblepaw, "W-who did this" she stammered.

Toffeestep had been sharing a rabbit with his mate, Amberheart, when he heard Icepaw's screech. He quickly got up, fear pulling at his whiskers. He bounded over to the cats, letting out a gasp at the sight of Angelheart. "What happened?" He asked wide-eyed.

Roseclaw ran up to Tumblepaw. "What has happened?!" She knew it couldn't have been the apprentice, his claws were not that large yet.

Icepaw looked up, "Someone murdered Angelheart" she whispered.

Amberheart 's eyes widened and she pressed against Toffeestep. "Whats going on Love?" She started to panic and she got up, pacing

"There must be a murderer in Thunderclan, or outside of it." She looked at everyone circling around the cat and stepped back. "We can't trust anyone, not even the elders, not even the queens, not even the sweet little apprentices. No cat is safe anymore."

Tumblepaw crouched down, terrified by the noise, attention and the questions. "I- I- I do- don't know!" she stammered quietly, her voice nearly a whisper. "I- I was j- just w- wal- walking, t- thinking about o- one day having m- my own kits, a- and I tripped over Ang- Angelheart's body!" she wailed, burrowing her head in her paws. Tumblepaw knew Roseclaw was right- but she honestly didn't want to believe it. Who would want to kill their own clanmates?

Right after the apprentice finished Roseclaw spoke up. "But, scratch that. It must be a warrior or an elder, or even a queen, or our own leader. The claw, it is too large to be an apprentice or kit claw."

"The mentors have been training their apprentices hard." I told the others "Some have bigger claws then others, and even if size was important sharpness is something they need too, as well take down a warrior." I explained.
