A horrified look appeared on Froststep's face, "It wasn't me!
Why would I try to kill Spikepaw? He is my son!" The white
she-cat exclaimed, a horrified expression on her face. "Get
out of here, you cold-hearted beast!" A cry rang out through
the crowd that had gathered around Froststep, "Froststep!
You don't belong in ThunderClan camp, you never did and you
never will!" Another cat hissed. Tears welled up in the queen's
eyes as she stuttered, "I only want the best for my clan, I would
never want to harm any cat who lives or lived here," She said,
waving her tail with sorrow. She glanced at Spikepaw, "I know
you think that I was the murderer, but I'm not and I need you
to stay strong, you lost your friend, Daisykit and you almost
lost your own life today. I need you to make sure the real
murderer is eliminated," She whispered hoarsly. Spikepaw's
maw opened with horror as he realised his mother wasn't
the murderer at all, "I'm sorry mum! I'm sorry I voted for you!"
He wailed and she let out a soothing purr, licking his head.
"You will make a fine warrior someday, just you wait," She
smiled, before turning and exiting camp.

After leaving ThunderClan, Froststep managed to find her
old friend, Wildpoppy and her new kits. The queen explained
to her what had happened and Wildpoppy immediately allowed
Froststep to stay with her until it was safe enough to return
to ThunderClan.
