Nyke beamed at her reflection in the river. Her hand glided over her rounding belly. She hadn’t told Raider that they were expecting yet. He had been on a long hunt and she was elated to see him. She heard a commotion begin from the front of her cabin and she walked around to see what it was. The leader saw Raiden, a pig slung over his bare shoulders and the sweat glistening on his exposed chest. Nyke couldn’t help at smirk. She walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“I see the hunt went well.” She giggled, earning a smile from him. He nodded and handed the pig off to Aldir, who was being trailed by a little black dog. Nyke tilted her head at the canine.
“Oh yea,” Raiden told her, noticing her glance “We picked her up on our hunt. Her name’s Eboni. Aldir’s gunna train her to be a hunter.” Nyke grinned at the new pup. Her fur was sleek, but fluffy, and her eyes held joyous sparks.
“I think Troy will enjoy her company.”
“Yea me too. Maybe someday they’ll be close enough to breed.” Raiden slung an arm around Nyke’s shoulder and walked with her into their cabin. Once inside, Raiden instantly walked over to the water basin. He scooped the water and splashed it on his face, drying off with a piece of fabric. Nyke Closed the door and sat on the bed, watching her husband. He truly would make a good father. He was a great man and an amazing leader; and he would teach their child all about the way of life in the Cavern. The man turned around to face his wife, tugging off his boots and sliding down his wool-lined hide pants to change into light-weight cotton ones. He noticed her expression and sat beside her, a concerned look on his face.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, folding his hand around hers. Nyke smiled down at their hands.
“You know how much we wanted a family right?” She asked quietly. Raiden furrowed his brow and nodded warily.
“Well,” she sighed, making eye contact with her beloved husband “We’re going to have a baby.”
Raiden stared wide-eyed at her and his jaw slacked Open.
“Y-you mean y-you’re...”
“Pregnant.” She smiled widely at him and licked her lips. She couldn’t exactly tell how he was feeling. He was staring at her, his fingers twitching over hers.
“Pregnant.” He reapeated with a stolid face.
“Yes, Raiden. That means I’m going to have a baby.” Nyke chuckled.
“H-How?” He whispered in awe.
“Well,” Nyke explained “When a man and a woman really love each other-“
She was cut off by a bear hug from the man sitting beside her.
“I’m going to be a dad!” He cried, snuggling her “We’re going to have a baby! Oh, Nyke! This is great!” He pulled away and Nyke saw how much joy his eyes contained. The sight warmed her heart. His hands rested on her stomach and he kissed it.
“Hey there little guy- or girl.” He whispered to her belly “I’m your daddy. I can’t wait to meet you!”
Nyke laughed and smiled warmly at him.
“I love you so much, Nyke.” Raiden smiled, kissing her.
“I love you too.”
Raiden got to his feet and hurried over to the door, swinging it open. He took a step out onto the porch, got everyone’s attention, and yelled: “IM GOING TO BE A DAD!”
Nyke rolled her eyes and followed him out the door. This would be good. She couldn’t wait to have the baby.

"ALEXXXX!" the squeal of a young women's voice filled the air. Alex was sitting with Marvis at the time. "Oh God no she's coming back," he said, starting to panic. Marvis sighed. "You better start running." He stood up and started to run as fast as he could. She continued her snack while he ran away.

Sera ran up to her. "Have you seen Alex?"
"Yeah, that way," she said, pointing in the direction he went to.
"Thank you!!" she sung before sprinting after him. Marvis rolled her eyes. Ever since Sera arrived she had grown some sort of obsession to Alex. Both being knights, they were constantly together but she wanted to be even MORE together. Alex wasn't all too pleased with the attention or at least her methods in doing it.

Alex thought he lost her so he relaxed. Ida was giving him an odd look. "Oh, hey!" he waved to her. She scoffed and went on her way. He let out a sigh of relief as Sera was no one to be seen. He stayed there to catch his breath. A soft hand touched his shoulder. He turned to look.
"Found you!" Sera squeaked.
"AAAAHH!" he yelled and tried to ran but she was surprisingly strong. She leaped towards him and had him in her arms. She gave him lots of kisses.

"Get oooooffff!" he groaned, trying to push her away.
"But if I let go, you'll run away again!" she wailed.
"That's the point!"
"No can do! Smooooch!" she squeaked. He squealed in horror. He managed to fight against her kisses. He had a giggle from near by. Maria was watching them, her hands covering her mouth as she held in her laugh.
"M-Maria..." he said, his cheeks bright red. While he was distracted, he fell to the ground, Sera landing on top of him. "Ugh..." By the time he gained his senses, Maria was already gone.
"Yay, I won!" Sera shouted.
He groaned and pushed her off.
"Let's do something useful instead..."

Kaiden was tending to bow and arrows to make sure they were ready for use again. He enjoyed the hunters part of the village. The hunters were very close with each other and the night before they celebrated Ezequiel becoming a father. The rest were still asleep but Kaiden woke up bright and early to start work. He held up a bow and smiled at his handiwork. He placed it down and grabbed another one. He gently scrubbed it clean and changed the string.

While he was tending to it, a hare hopped into view. He looked up, his sharp hunters eye right on it. He had never seen a hare so close to the village before. Not only that, it was IN the village! He picked up a bow ready for use. He kept himself hidden as he loaded an arrow. He aimed for the hare as it carefully hopped around. He was waiting for the perfect moment to strike... But what happened next wasn't like anything he had seen before. The hare was gone and in it's place was a human. Not just any random human but Cara. A knight in the Iron Rosette. He dropped the bow in shock and it clanged on the floor.

Cara looked up in surprise to see Kaiden half hidden in a tent. "Oh, I didn't see you there. I was just doing some exercise in the morning." She said that with a kind smile, not bothered at all.
"B-but... Y-you.. The hare and..." he stammered. She fixed her hair.
"I suppose you saw that, huh?"
He frantically nodded.
"Keep that a secret, will you?" she winked, a finger to her lips. She bowed and then ran off, transforming back into a hare along the way. Kaiden couldn't believe it. Cara wasn't only human. She was a shapeshifter! He recovered from the ordeal and went back to work. He decided it would be best if he didn't talk about it again. Well, unless she wanted to of course.

The Blackpaw Family is a family comprised mainly of fairies, shapeshifters, weres, and animalkin. With a deep connection to the forest and the animals who live in the forest, the Blackpaw Family relies heavily on their animal blood and relationships with the flora and fauna. Normally they are naturally colored. All species are allowed in the Family, however they are mainly Shapeshifters and Weres. While most of them are of feline blood, there are some who are not. Most have the blood of extinct species running through their veins, some common, some not. They tend to build their dens out of what they have available, and avoid clearing forest as much as they can. They take only what they need; no more and no less. They are generally Matriarchal, tracing their lineages through their mother if they have one, and usually led by a majority female group. They will mainly be eating and farming the following:

vakarosa is a long-lost village hidden deep within the samarkis
rainforest. it was inhabited by humans with realistic hair, skin
and eye colors. the village was destroyed over ten years ago
by unknown causes. it has been abandoned since then, but it
will soon rebirth from it's ashes.

the villagers of vakarosa used to ride creatures known as mag
nas. these beasts were 7 to 10 feet tall big cats (tigers, panth
ers, jaguars...) that they used as for scouting, hunting and ge
neral transport. since the village’s abandon, the magnas have
returned to a feral lifestyle and live in the surrounding forest,
awaiting their companions’ return. the villagers also had cats
as companions, and sometimes even birds. dogs were forbidde
n, however, as very few magnas could get along with them.

these villagers believe in three great goddesses, the three mu
ses. the first is named umbrak, and is considered to be the go
ddess of the moon, night and death. she is considered a kind
and caring individual who accepts the deceased with open ar

vakarosa is a long-lost village hidden deep within the samarkis
rainforest. it was inhabited by humans with realistic hair, skin
and eye colors. the village was destroyed over ten years ago
by unknown causes. it has been abandoned since then, but it
will soon rebirth from it's ashes.

the villagers of vakarosa used to ride creatures known as mag
nas. these beasts were 7 to 10 feet tall big cats (tigers, panth
ers, jaguars...) that they used as for scouting, hunting and ge
neral transport. since the village’s abandon, the magnas have
returned to a feral lifestyle and live in the surrounding forest,
awaiting their companions’ return. the villagers also had cats
as companions, and sometimes even birds. dogs were forbidde
n, however, as very few magnas could get along with them.
