^great! I saw the eclipse today because it passed right through my small town. We went to my bsf’s house and drove around her neighborhood in her side by side. We picked up our other friend who lives there, and we all watched the eclipse in her woods playing in the creek. It was the best day ever!!

The last book I finished was In the Miso Soup by Ryu Murakami. It was pretty good, but I wouldn't reread it. I feel like it could've been fleshed out a bit more - I felt like the ending kind of just... stopped short. I enjoyed the first half a lot, its a psychological thriller so it had a big focus on the, rather insane and bizarre actions of the protagonist's 'companion'. The second half starts with a murder, and from then it felt like it stopped focusing on this a bit and turned more into the main character processing the situation. I don't think that's bad, and considering the scene it was pretty necessary, and I found his thought process somewhat interesting. But then it sort of just ends. I guess I just would've liked to follow MC and his companion for a bit longer, but overall I didn't mind the book. At the end of the day thrillers aren't really what I read, so maybe I'm just not the target audience.
^ I can definitely feel the pain, for some reason I've really been in a "let's get a treat" mood despite not really having treat money. Oh well. At least you get paid soon! (sincerely, someone also desperately waiting for payday)
