Aspenstar waited patiently by the Moonpool for the ancestors to grant him another cat to join Brackenclan. Although the large, speckled tomcat could deal with life's curveballs fairly well on his own, he definitely knew it was no fun to be in a clan all by yourself. He wanted to create a safe space for the cats that looked up to him, or at least agreed with his ways of life.
His bright blue eyes shimmered with excitement when his request for a cat was fulfilled. A ginger and white pelted cat with big hazel eyes trotted towards him, their fur almost so long that it could drag along the forest floor. Aspenstar noticed this cat's ears were pinned back flat against their head with a slight twitch every now and again. This cat looked as if it were heading into a battle- a good candidate for a strong warrior of Brackenclan. However, Aspenstar secretly hoped this cat wasn't trying to start any sort of fight with him. When the cat approached Aspenstar, he dipped his head in greeting. Aspenstars respectful tone and smooth talking convinced this cat that Brackenclan was going to be a safe space to them to join,fully relaxing their ears so now they sat upright and slightly forward. Thus, Firefang, a 40 moon warrior, was welcomed into Brackenclan.

Shortly after Aspenstar gave Firefang a tour of the camp, the two wet off on a patrol so Firefang could start to understand the territory Brackenclan possessed. While they patrolled the two toms started to realise they had quite a lot in common, and a respectful and loyal friendship started to form. While they were on the topic of their favourite fresh kill, Aspenstat and Firefang heard an obnoxiously loud rustling in the bushes a few meters from them. Firefang’s ears immediately pinned flat to his head just like when Aspenstat had met him, while the leader got low to look for cover. Luckily for Aspenstar his pelt was easily camouflaged in his surroundings, whereas Firefang had to fight to get cover. The leader leaned over to his warrior as he sniffed the air, not recognising the scent of the cats several meters in front of them. “Rouges I reckon, let’s approach with caution” he said, Firefang nodding in agreement. The leader and his warrior came closer to the two cats, Aspenstar scanned them for any potential threats. One was larger, with an all-grey wiry pelt, while the other was a smaller tabby who seemed very interested in sniffing the ground. Maybe they could already sense himself and Firefang?
Soon enough, the four cats were befriended and created the foundations of Brackenclan. it turns out the smaller tabby could not smell them, but was in fact looking for herbs to help with a slight headache she had. So Aspenstar welcomed her as the medicine cat, now known as Hollywhisker. She will make a great addition to the clan with her vast knowledge of the forests' herbs. Her friend, now a warrior known as Cinderpelt, is more reserved then what Aspenstar anticipated, but is a dutiful ally. Aspenstar, Firefang, Cinderpelt and Hollywhisker made their way back to camp before making decisions on patrols and hunts.

In summary:

Aspenstar and Firefang go hunting.
Hollywhisker looks for herbs.
