It had been a moon since Berry had joined the warren and all the rabbits were ready for a break in the cold. It was now impossible to go outside the camp, since the most recent blizzard had coated everything in deep snow. Bramble had resorted to wearily circling the camp, Berry forlornly following him (as there was nothing better to do), on guard for any predators to stumble upon them. Thicket was currently searching for some food that they had missed in earlier day, but not having much luck.

Season: Winter
Weather: The blizzard has slowed to a light snow and it's safe to go out. The ground, trees and bushes are covered with a thick blanket of white and most ponds, streams or rivers have iced over.

Soon after Kamei and Rex returned, Cato was already getting a warm welcome and his assignment as a Gatherer. It was not long before he embarked on his first journey. "I'll go and ask for a Healer," Kamei told Rex after Cato bounded away, followed by Mynah who was going to do a quick patrol. Rex nodded and decided to snooze for a quick while.

Rienne hoped out of camp, a slight spring in her step from the excitement of a new companion—and, more importantly, a profound doctuer for her Warren. chanceux turned out to be a rather lovely male, helpful and already heading out of camp to get herbs.

"Better start sooner than later," the buck chimed before he had went to search through the crisp white snow for any signs of life in the vegetation, voice thick with the same French accent that Rienne carried. Rienne didn't know how she got any better luck, he was a dorkishly-cute, and she knew that he was going to be one to toy with the hearts of doe without even knowing it. one lopsided grin and one could be swayed to the command of the doctuer.

not rienne, of course though. no, she had other things to do then oogle a herbalist who was simply doing his duties. replacing the infatuation that she was sure another would carry for him, she held a distinctive respect for the buck. he was, after all, the doctuer of the warren, or as others preferred to call the healer. it made her wonder how many other warren were out their, she knew there could be countless, but still, she wondered.

"Stars above," said Nettle, "do we have two Melaniums now?"
The new rabbit peered at the gatherer in question, smiling - amused. They did bear a peculiar resemblance, down to their heights and eyes. And names, given that they were essentially different terms for the same flower. "Um," said Melanium. "I'm not sure how to feel about this, but. I'm gonna go train Basil. Please tell me you're not a gatherer too."

Ever since Beech had stumbled across the camp that one snowy afternoon, it had never been the same, now they had a student to take care of. It was especially hard when she didn't even know the difference between the howl of a wolf and the wind racing through the trees. She was scared of everything. And now Bramble was responsible for her as her mentor, which he now deeply regretted. He wasn't a patient rabbit. He kept repeating "Its just a bump in the trail" when ever she would get on his nerves, which was often. The other rabbits thought the timid creature was a joy to have around, but they didn't have to spend every patrol or gathering session with her.
But enough said, it was time to get on with collecting and the daily patrols. The snow had lessened up, but the frost still made it hard to find any food. It didn't hurt the patrols to much, but they were still cold and tedious. In fact, they were heading outniw for a patrol.

"Hey, Bramble?" Beech asked timidly. "Yes, Beech" Branch answered none to patiently.
"I'm cold"
"We all are, you just learn to ignore it. Now, you have to learn to camouflage yourself, so look here." And that was how the whole patrol went, Beech constantly whining about every single thing.

Warren of the Breeze

This warren lives in a burrow which was burrowed by their ancestors. The burrow is next to a small brook where the water doesn't run very fast. All of the bunnies learn to swim in the brook when they become students. Across the brook is a small hill where the gatherer's gather their food. The warren is very proud of their homeland and would do anything to protect it. The bunnies are usually kind and compassionate, but sometimes are a little grumpy.

This warren is founded on the idea that everyone is welcome. The founder was a part of a different warren, but always felt out of place and unincluded. They pledged to start their own warren, and welcome anyone and everyone.
As a warren, they are protective and loyal. Although they strive to be kind, they won't let others walk over them.

Rat was glad to see that his whole group made it safely back with the sudden onset of the storm. They all bedded down in the nursery together, since it was the largest den and would keep them all the most warm.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Rat was unsure as to whether to send out his rabbits or not. He decided against it, but knew that he had to go visit the ancestors to get more rabbits. He went to visit them and then returned back straight away to spend the time in camp with the rest of his warren.

This warren once lived in a land of plenty, a wide field filled with only the best of goodies all year round. They flourished and lived peacefully, spreading out all across the land. But then the hares came. They wanted the land and they brought forces ready to fight for it. The rabbits, smaller, pacifistic people, did not wish to fight at first, offering peace and to share. But the hares were greedy. They attacked the rabbits and drove them back, killing any that they could. The rabbits began to fight back. They grew a warrior spirit. But it was too late. There were too few of them. Their mothers and kits were always killed first. To keep them from growing in numbers...

Or so they say. These are the legends Polo, his siblings and his friends were raised on. See, they lived on a farm. Where it was safe, but nothing really...happened. And this was a story told from generation to generation. Usually, kits grew up with it, but soon understood it was but a fairy tale. These weren't their ancestors. But not little Polo. No no no. This little kit always held it close to his heart despite Petal and Marcus', his parents, attempts to help him understand it wasn't true. He wanted to avenge these ancestors he thought he had and gathered a group of his friends on an adventure, a quest. Kate, Spotty, Flourance and Butter came with him, bored of the life in the farm. See, the farmer's kids had goofed and left the pen outside open. They were young. It wasn't open for long, but just enough to allow them to escape and run for it.
As they ran along, they passed through a forest where an odd canine-feline creature found them, attacking them and causing them to scatter in all directions. Polo hasn't seen his friends since. He didn't know if any of them were even alive...
But he found it. He found his ancestors' home. Well, he thought he did. In the Summer it truly did seem like it.

The warren of warriors lives near farmland, in a large open field. Each family makes their own burrow where they raise their kits. The oldest buck in a litter keeps the burrow if he takes a mate, who will then live with him. The younger brothers must make their own burrows. The does stay with their parents until they are able to find a mate.

The leader position is most often given to the oldest son of the current leader, but will sometimes be granted to a close friend or respected guard instead. The most honoured of rabbits have the right to move to the leader's burrow with their mate, but their kits have no claim to such treatment without proving themselves.
Healers are accepted into the leader's burrow by default along with their students. There can sometimes be up to 5 healers.

Most often, males take the role of guards and females those of gatherers, but they have their right to choose which position they wish to choose another role to learn.

In most matters, the leader's word is law and must be obeyed unless you wish to be moved to a burrow near the edge of the territory to shame you while your family stays behind or even exiled entirely.

Rabbits here come in all shapes and sizes as all are welcome to join, although you are most likely to only be accepted through marriage mating with one of the current members.

The rabbits are at war with the nearby hares that (oddly enough as they don't tend to do this actually, but nor do cats) live in a drove which may often lead to raids and thus injuries and death. But that's not the only danger. There's also foxes and loose dogs to watch out for. Hunters too are an issue. Birds of prey are a rare sight, but there are times when a rabbit or kit get carried away by one as well.

Weather: The blizzard has passed and Winter is coming to an end, meaning predators are venturing out to find food. Rabbits may be tempted to come out to find food among the melting snow but it is recommended to be on guard if they are out and about.

The most honoured of rabbits have the right to move to the leader's burrow with their mate, but their kits have no claim to such treatment without proving themselves.
Healers are accepted into the leader's burrow by default along with their students. There can sometimes be up to 5 healers.

Most often, males take the role of guards and females those of gatherers, but they have their right to choose which position they wish to choose another role to learn.

In most matters, the leader's word is law and must be obeyed unless you wish to be moved to a burrow near the edge of the territory to shame you while your family stays behind or even exiled entirely.

Rabbits here come in all shapes and sizes as all are welcome to join, although you are most likely to only be accepted through marriage mating with one of the current members.

The rabbits are at war with the nearby hares that (oddly enough as they don't tend to do this actually, but nor do cats) live in a drove which may often lead to raids and thus injuries and death. But that's not the only danger. There's also foxes and loose dogs to watch out for. Hunters too are an issue. Birds of prey are a rare sight, but there are times when a rabbit or kit get carried away by one as well.

Warren of Warriors

Polo poked his head out of his burrow, looking around and sniffing the air. It was cold out here. He considered just returning back into the ground to keep napping in his warm, comfortable burrow, but he had no more food in there and loneliness was getting to him.
It wasn't right for a rabbit to be alone. He hopped out, moving through the snow carefully in search of food and company, cautious of the hare drove's borders. He wandered toward the border, pausing to dig through the snow and look for still edible plants under it. This wasn't what he was told this place was like! It was supposed to be warm and full of food always! Those darn hares must have ruined the land on purpose!
