• i'm a big nightmare before christmas fan. i want to do a scream marathon this halloween. i've never seen any of the films :eyes:

rn i hate cereal but when i liked it i bought a family size box of fruit cheerios
i was hoping they’d be similar to fruity pebbles which are my fav cereal, officially

as crazy as it sounds, i love the tropes in media where the sunshine characters always get tragic endings.
you're rooting for them the whole time, but they just get the most tragic ending ever...

^ I've been meaning to watch that! It looked good when I saw a couple trailers. Feels like I haven't seen anything on the internet about it though, so I kind of forgot until now.
> I've been reading the Discworld series and its great. I got a copy with some of the nice illustrated covers, but a lot of the other ones on Amazon have those kind of terrible minimalistic ones (they're not bad, I just think the illustrations are a lot more charming and a lot more fitting for the books.) But I'm going to visit my parents in the UK soon, where the bookstore sells 'em all with the old style covers, so I have an excuse to grab a handful.
v Are there any book covers that you really like? Is there a particular reason?

• not particularly. i tend not to pay attention to book covers very much. i was trying to find it online, but i had this one comic that i loved the cover for. i vaguely remember it being about a cutesy skeleton, and a lot of the comic was in spanish. the cover for it is very bright and colorful. idk it just sort of,, drew me in. i am not home at the moment, but the next time i am there, i will take a look through my bookshelves to see if i can find it.
  
  ^ that's great that you can still get the old style of covers. i'm not a fan of minimalism, personally, and i feel like,, a lot of modern book covers don't necessarily appeal to me.
  > my sister's cats are curious about my presence. they keep coming up on the bed to see what i'm doing. multiple times i've had to shoo them away from my chest (learned the hard way that it hurts a lot when a cat walks across your recently top surgery-ed chest) they're all very sweet, and i love them, but it would make it easier if they weren't all crowding me KJSDJK shoutout to her kitten, creature, who just likes sleeping in my blanket near my feet. he has been probably the most respectful of my drains and everything, which is sightly odd to me, because given his age, i thought he would be the one i'd have to worry about the most.

been having long shifts at work recently and have can't watch my new kitty!!! :< i feel bad but i've heard that my family is taking good care of him, so i'm grateful he's in good hands.

^ cats and their need to be very personal is so funny to me. i love them so much (i hope you heal up quickly & well!!)
