Rocky frowned with concern as he sniffed around the area where the foreign scent was. He was very unhappy to find an intruder in their midst and vowed to take a dawn patrol to find them! As soon as he got back to camp he gathered up a full patrol and went out searching for the intruder.

Ivy saw the male’s spotted head round the corner of her den. “Carlisle.” The leader groaned “I told you, I’m fine!” The second scoffed, approaching her and turning her head to the side to examine her neck. “Astirise said it’ll heal by itself. Didn’t even need any herbs!” Her friend let out a satisfied grumble and flopped down next to her. “Whatever.” He muttered “That seal will pay for hurting you.” Ivy chuckled. “Well, considering it’s sitting on our prey pile, I think it already has.” Carlisle smirked. “I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.” Ivy tilted her head with a genuine smile. “Thank you.” She sighed earnestly “I appreciate it.” She got to her paws and stretched her muscles. “You know, I’ve been meaning to go for a walk. Would you like to join me? We could talk about the searching patrols I mentioned earlier.” Carlisle nodded happily and the two walked along the beach.

“I can’t stand being confined to camp.” Alec moaned “I feel so useless.” Sylvester huffed. “You’re not useless.” He assured his best friend “Even if you can’t go out and hunt yet, you always make me smile. And that’s just as important!” Alec cast a doubtful glance at his companion. Astirise padded up to interrupt their conversation. “Alec, good news!” She barked happily “You’ll be able to go out next moon! Your leg is healing nicely. You’ll have a bit of a limp, but you’ll be fully recovered in no time!” The news made Alec beam. “Really?” He gasped, turning to Sylvester “Oh that’s wonderful! We should go on our first patrol together! Why don’t we go take a walk to celebrate?” He started to his paws but the nymph placed a gentle paw on the soldier’s shoulder. “Not so fast, buddy.” She giggled “I said next moon. You still have a bit of healing to go.” Alec looked somewhat disappointed, but smiled and nodded at her anyways, thanking the female for her help. Sylvester leaned in closer “When you’re better, we can definitely go on a celebratory walk, and go on our first patrol together, I’ll ask Ivy to arrange it.” Alec smiled broadly at Sylvester, and the two continued their chat in the warm sun.

railroad city is home to a spritely group of wanderers. they are often considered to be the rejects, those who had been shunned by others, abandoned by their former packs for whatever reason it may be. railroad city kids are tightly-knit, often due to the fact that they are often weaker than an average feral dog due to size. these dogs are always there for another, and will stand up against any threat if a packmate is in danger. for this reason, some can be seen as feisty, though for the most part, they are incredibly sweet and nonthreatening. they value family first and are forgiving- perhaps even to a fault.
railroad city is located in a ghost town somewhere in a lonely forest, with mountains etched in the skies. a large river cuts in the middle of the territory, and a sturdy steel bridge crosses it. train tracks run across this bridge. the pack camp is located directly in the town itself, which is merely a few stores and train tracks running before it. it is visibly next to the bridge. surrounding the town is forest.

Natia knew her social skills were not of common ground; she wasn’t expecting two dogs to appear. One was an English bulldog, the other was strange by her own standards. She narrowed her eyes towards the hairless canine, uncertain of this canine was real, or the heat was getting to her head. No dog should be hairless, and if they were should be in Tartarus with the other hellions.

The crème borzoi came up onto the two who were walking side by side, more of the bulldog trying to catch up with the hairless one. If she had her way, she would have turned away the hairless one, and accepted the bulldog. But she was not in charge of this kennel, Nimbus was.

“greetings,” She said crisply not bothering to give either one a sparing glance, focusing on the bulldog who panted on his short legs. The hairless one seemed to be not affected by the heat, more like she was accustomed to it, her dark eyes coolly staring at the borzoi making her fur crawl. “You are on the Sovereign of Apollo territory, who are you and what do you want."

“Is it always this 'ot? wa' sudden ay graft fe some shade!” the bulldog spoke, of which the words itself didn’t register toward Natia and she stared owlishly at the smaller dog. “What did you say?” she said flickering her gaze towards the hairless one, and the one who didn’t an ounce of sense for his accent was too thick for her to understand.

“he says it’s too hot.” The Peruvian Inca Orchid spoke, her voice was soft as a feather fall but held a musical note. That alone still made Natia’s fur crawl all the same. She was going to find it harder to find dogs to bend to her will, for she was not going to have one hideous dog, and another she couldn't understand.

“Come along then, both of you.” She said not wanting to spare a minute sooner, heading back towards the settlement. Her fur was prickling with disgust and anger at the fact she was been watched by this hideous dog, and angry that neither of them was worthy followers for her own attempt of overthrowing Nimbus.

Aristaeus had arrived back to the settlement, and he even raised a metaphorical eyebrow at the two newcomers, dipping his head in greeting at the two of them, finding Natia’s disgust at the approach of them somewhat humorous and not surprising.

“Where is Nimbus.” She inquired her eyes burning with her anger, and Aristaeus glanced at the two who following her. The border collie could guess were the English retriever was. He was gathering herbs has normal, and that was expected of him.

“he’s out, he will be returning shortly. You are dismissed, prickle fur.”

No further word after that, Natia stomped off again anger in her wake. Aristaeus heaved a sigh after the borzoi and looked at the two newcomers. “I don’t believe I caught your names? I’m Aristaeus, the one who stormed off is Natia, stay clear of that one.”

“Arise Aristaeus, that's a mouthful. canna call yous arty? Me name is roger.” The bulldog grinned sitting on his haunches.

Aristaeus nodded taking the nickname with stride and glanced over towards the Peruvian Inca Orchid. “And your name is?”

“Acllacuna.”

“Welcome to the Sovereign of Apollo, Acllacuna, Roger. Our oracle Nimbus should be arriving soon from his herb gathering. Please make yourself at home, and relax in the shade until Nimbus makes his ways back.”

It wouldn’t be until almost sunset when the white gold English receiver returned back to the settlement, his tail wagging a mile a minute, with another dog following him step for step. In the dying sunlight, the oracle was bouncing on his paws with excitement. So, it would be assumed that the new dog was going to be joining them has well.

Aristaeus yawned slightly and stretched, walking over towards the hyperactive oracle. “I will assume that she is also joining, yes?”

“Yes!” he barked excitedly. “she is going to be our queen!” he added with a prancing dancing step.

Blinking for a minute the border collie looked at the Sloughi, the nimble creature was golden in appearance with a dark muzzle, and darker paws. Apparent for desert dwelling hounds, even if she was a sighthound. She raised her head regally, and gave a smile, there was something warm, and acceptable about this one. Even if she was considered to be like a motherly figure. “I suppose how do you do, your grace.” Aristaeus dropped down to a kneeling position before straighten again.

“Please, just call me Sophia.” She spoke her words were has warm has her smile, flowing like honey, and were has warm has a mother’s kiss.

“am ay 'ear'n rite? we 'uv a queun among us?" Roger wandered over with his grinning features present. Nimbus glanced over at the bulldog, and over at the sighing Aristaeus.

“I’ll explain later.”

Acllacuna was watching from a distance, and smiled slightly, she was already liking this certain group. Even if she made one member of the kennel very uncomfortable.

Another three dogs had joined the pack. Sure, other dogs may call their groups kennels, but Mars felt that the term tied them far too closely to the upwalkers. Pack was such a more...wild term. And they were a wild bunch. Building their strength, and preparing for the day they would unleash their hatred upon the liars of the canine world.

Odin and Maru had come in together, and Anann had been wandering about the forest on her own. She'd seemed a bit confused at first, as to how she'd gotten there, but after explaining about The Forsaken, she had agreed to join.

That was how it had pretty much gone for the others to be honest. Mars smirked, tail wagging softly. The ranks were being built up nicely. Soon, they might be able to close their borders. But first, they needed a few more dogs. Then they could shut down and grow their inner power.

Before that though.... "Shala!" Mars barked, red eyes landing on the golden retriever. "With me. We're going to check on that border Minerva mentioned."
