Rovi sat up. The sheets and pelt blanket of his bed slid off of his chest and folded around his legs. The war chief rubbed his face, getting rid of the sleep in his eyes. He blinked around, watching the flickering flames that were crackling in the fire pit. The spring air drifted through the crack in the door. It was warmer today, but the cold still snipped at his ears. Sniffing, he got out of bed and put on his grey-furred coat and flipped up the hood. The hood itself was made of a wolf face. Unlike Delki's, he had found the coat in a chest. Delki had hunted a polar bear to make his coat and hood. It seemed odd to Rovi, a polar-bear-wearing polar bear, but it made sense. It warned others about what he was capable of. Rovi wasn't a shifter, though. He couldn't turn into a wolf, but he wore the hood anyways. The face of the wolf was painted with blue and red dots and circles, to show his rank. He was the War Chief, after all, and he had to be distinguished from the regular warriors. Rovi had decided that, when he got his warriors, they would all wear the pelts of a wolf to symbolize their loyalty and equality. While thinking of this, Rovi remembered Delki's task for him. He was to patrol the borders to look for possible members. The man sighed and tugged on his boots. He pulled his sheets back into place and walked out the door, starting on his patrol.

luna sighed softly as the waves lapped over her ankles, splashing gently up onto her calves. she glanced around toward the other side of the sea- across the shore- noticing the pink flame licking at the horizon. she knew this meant that there were those seeking safe passage- those wanting join her at the oil rig. it also was a test of her faith as a natblida- she had to make sure these warriors seeking passage were safe, and would not harm her. luna trekked toward the flame, her brown eyes shining against the sun and it's rays. as she approached the two figures- now she could tell they were women, one with heavy war paint covering her eyes- she prepared herself for a fight. she knew her messenger wouldn't intentionally tell anyone violent of luna's clan, but it was important that she had reservations to who she let onto the oil rig. "what is it that you want?" she called out.
the blonde exchanged a glance with the brunette, before clearing her throat. "we seek safe passage,"
luna pulled a cloth from her pocket and unraveled it, revealing three viles of blue liquid. "you drink, or you stay." she told them.
the brunette wasted no time with drinking the strange liquid, though the blonde was more hesitant. "what is it?"
"safe passage. you both drink, or you both stay." luna responded, gesturing to the vile once more. eventually the blonde took the drink, and both of the women were sound asleep on the river-bank. she pulled the blonde onto a makeshift stretcher and loaded her onto the boat, before doing the same with the other. she took their weapons, then locked them into the large crate- the ancient humans once used it for packaging shipments across the sea. by the time they got to the oil rig, neither of them would know where they were when they woke up. and if they truly did seek safe passage, that wouldn't matter to them: floukru was about escaping from the world they lived in, not endorsing it.

Two people was all it had taken. The Stormclouds were now a group. A group of three, a Head Chief, a Shaman, and a Hunter.

Cassandra, the purple haired kitsune, leader of the Stormclouds and fierce enough to fight anything, no matter its size. The scar racing along her nose proof enough of that. She had a small blade, a semi-large knife, that she kept on her constantly. Her purple hair she typically kept down, letting her vibrant orange and black fox ears draw the attention.

Her tails, nine lithe tails that she could fold together to look like a single large tail, waved around her and helped only to draw attention. Cassandra was a vixen, and a flirty one at that. That was likely how she'd convinced Tyler, the hunter to join the Stormclouds.

Tyler was a werewolf with dark blue skin, bright red hair, and a scar on his face that looked like he'd had an argument with a knife-thrower. Cassandra had joked that they should make it a mark of the Stormclouds, a scar on the face, since the shaman she'd been sent had one to. At least, she'd meant it as a joke. Tyler and Finnick had both agreed it would be a good way to mark them as unique, and could be a sort of final test for testers. Cassandra had agreed, and a new law was added to the small notebook she'd been using to keep track of things in the village.

Tyler also had a habit of using white flowers and shells to make what he called 'war paint'. It was mostly stripes sweeping from the right side of his head to the left. which he claimed 'looked cool.'. Finnick had spent almost four days studying the paints, to make sure it wouldn't make his skin peel off or anything.

Finnick was a merman, and thus lived in a cave under the castle. There was a sort of underwater tunnel system that led just outside of the castle, to the cave, and then out into the ocean. Finnick's skin was dark purple, and his hair a soft light brown. He had fallen in love with Tyler's paints, and had made a special mixture by adding in some paled squid ink, to make it waterproof for his own tatoos. He'd made his much more elaborate though, dancing along his arms and chest in spiraling patterns. He'd offered to make some more for Cassandra, after she'd used her blade to mark his face, but the kitsune had refused with a laugh.

They had an interesting dynamic, each being a different species, but they made it work. Cassandra had moved the living quarters down a few levels than she'd originally wanted them, since she hadn't realized how difficult it would be for the seafolk to communicate with the landfolk. So she'd swapped the living quarters with the storage rooms. Once they had a few more members it wouldn't be as big a deal to haul food and items up and down the stairs of the stone structure.

Lately, the only things being carried up and down stairs were books, Finnick was intent on learning everything about medicine that he didn't already know, and Tyler had volunteered to be his book fetcher for the time being. "Tyler!" Cassandra called, catching the werewolf's attention. Tyler's dark eyes blinked back at her from the bottom of the stairs, and she took a few steps down to get closer "When you're done with that haul, tell Finnick he'll have to make do with the books he's got, I need you to go hunting. We can't get by on my starting rations forever." Tyler nodded "Sure, are you headed out?" he asked, taking in her red cloak, which she only wore when leaving the island. Cassandra nodded "I'm going to ask for a chief, we're going to be growing bigger, I can't be expected to know everything about everything forever now can I?"

Pepper was walking about getting ready to go gathering, she spotted Sirenna one of the newer villagers leaving her house. Pepper avoided most people, as she usually does, but after a while she started to warm up to Finn and Carlyn. Pepper liked Carlyn more than Finn though. Finn was rather shy and when he did talk he was always boasting about one of his great achievments, while Carlyn rarely ever acknowledged her role as Priestess. She decided maybe she should talk to Sirenna since she was in sort of the same field of work as her.
"Hi." Pepper greeted as she approached the brunette.
Sirenna spun around her long wavy ponytail swinging behind her. "Hello there..." She paused trying to remember the girls name.
"Pepper, Pepper Church." Pepper said.
Sirenna smiled. "Oh! That's right I remember you, I'm Sirenna Youngblood."
"It's nice to meet you Sirenna, so where are you off to?"
"I'm gonna go hunting, hopefully I can find some animals worth my time, maybe I'll find one to bring back." Sirenna said as she shifted the bow that was slung over her shoulder.
"Sounds fun, I'm just going out to look for plants to eat." Pepper sighed.
"You should come with me one time." Sirenna offered.
"Maybe." Pepper muttered.
"Well I've got to get going, see you around Pepper!" Sirenna said before turning back around and leaving the safety of the village walls.
Pepper watched her leave, Sirenna wasn't so bad after all, Pepper thought she would make a rather nice friend.
"Pepper!"
Pepper jumped and turned around to face Carlyn. "My spirits Carlyn you scared me!"
"Sorry. Hey, I was wondering if you needed any help with gathering today?"
Pepper rubbed her hands together. "I usually do fine on my own but if you really wanna help... then I guess you could come."
Carlyn smiled. "Fantastic!"
