la repuesta de Dera wrote:The strong woman before you raises her eyebrows and lets out a slight guffaw. "Woah kid, lotta questions. I like your spunk though so I'ma break it down into sections for you."
1. Troublesome: "Bein my lovely little self, I've gotten inna lot of different stuff. Gotta stir up a lil drama to have a lil fun; that's the way it works, right? Most of my happenins revolved around someone or another bein a lil too rowdy. Coulda been in a bar or maybe I was throwin up sprays down the street. Prolly shouldn't mention this, but since you already seem to know bout my past business, on a rare occasion or two someone may have caught me doin some sneaky murder-y things," she winks playfully before continuing. "Whatever it was, I've always been chill enough to get out of it.
My upbringing may have been pretty rough but I learned a lot about how to defend myself, emotionally and physically. Not to get all traumatized on you or anythin but if I did something someone else didn't like, I payed the consequences, hard. Kinda dog-eat-dog, y'know? I learned how to cool off and weasel my way outta things. S'all about adaptation."

2. Family matters: Dera smiles very genuinely as she leaps into a response. "My family is my kids, my friends, and my absolutely powerful and stunning babe of a wife Ryouko." She pulls out her phone and immediately goes to her family photo album. In it, you see mostly cute selfies of Dera and Ryouko. There are also a number of videos and pictures with
Sam and her doing silly stuff. She grins when she watches a clip of Sam doing flips off of playground equipment. "Sam's one of my closest friends but I also kinda consider her my kid. Not like my real ones come visit me anyhow," Dera jokes; there's definitely some hard truth in the statement. "I see a lot of myself in her so I think that's part of it. If you've got time, I have a lot of fun stories to share with you bout her later."
"I met Ryouko when I was a much younger Spitfire, somewhere in my twenties. She'd been running away from the cops, and I thought I'd lend a hand. I knew the streets like my own soul and helped her escape. Ryouko kept showin up around town and so I made a mural of her." The thought brings out a warm, fuzzy expression onto Dera's face. "I think I wore her down with my impeccable charm and eventually she let me creep my way into her life. Never really let me help out with her gang stuff though, which I've always had an issue with. Still love her to teeny tiny bits no matter what; I'm lucky to know she feels the same way."

3. Mercenary work: Her eyes become a little darker but she answers casually. "It's not something a lot of people hope to be. It only seems cool cuz of movies and video games. For me, I fell into mercenary work because it was available, payed well, and I was good at it. I started off pretty small, being a member of petty gangs as a kid. All those different encounters opened up new, bigger doors for me. I was loyal, tight-lipped, and pretty deft with the basic skills needed so I fit right into my new system of business.
Mostly I dealt with covert ops where someone was gonna die. Sometimes it felt like I was a hired vigilante serving up justice, other times I had to ignore morals and just get it done. I never did anything I didn't agree with in some way or another." Her expression is fairly static and betrays no emotions. "Tortured a few people for information. Committed blackmail, some light burglary. Kept my head down and the hell away from trading living things, drugs, and weapons. Never really dipped my toes into international matters..." She seems detached from the conversation at this point. Dera reaches a hand up to her neck and gives a lighthearted smirk. "I'm really glad I don't have to be part of it anymore."
