lark had been watching, sitting patiently in the darkness. it was only a few minute before the sun began to rose, but and the mourning doves had already begun to fill the air with their lamenting coos. the brush in front of her quivered, rustling with movement as out popped a little dove pecking around for food. had it not been for the slight glimmer of light coming from the rising sun, maybe it wouldn't have spotted her creeping up from behind. with a squawk and a flurry of feathers, the dove frantically flapped its wings in an effort to escape its impending doom. lark sprang into action, leaping off the ground with unsheathed claws.

Flame let outs a disapointed sigh, only to recive a gentle nudge from Sunshadow.
"Don't worry. Come on, lets head back to camp. I'll drop this in the fresh kill pile then I'll teach you how to going fishing." the tabby tom meowed.

The to-be nods his head, following his leader back to camp. Once back at camp Sunshadow drops the roadrunner on to the fresh-kill pile. Flame waits patiently by the water for Sunsahdow. The Healer sits next to Flame giving the young tom a slight nod.

"The key is to be patient. You won't get it on the first time so don't get upset. Make sure to sit beside the river but make sure your reflection and shadow does not fall on the water. As soon as you spot a fish at the surface, dart out your paw and swoop it out of the water. Then quickly bite it to the neck. Make sure to keep it away from the water's shore." Sunshadow explains.

{Sunshadow and Flame return to the oasis. Sunshadow spends the rest of the day teaching Flame how to fish.}

As soon as Sunwatcher and Horizon stepped paw in the tribe's cave, Horizon froze, her eyes widening in surprise. "L-Light?!" She shrieked. A Siamese tom looked up from where he was sitting with the two guards, his face splitting into a wide smile. He jumped to his paws and bounded across the cave floor to join the two she-cats. "It's you! It's really you!" Horizon wailed, throwing herself on the tom and covering him with licks.

Sunwatcher shot a questioning look at Bird, who just shrugged before returning back to Thunder, who was practicing his hunter's crouch. The tribe healer stood there awkwardly for a few moments before clearing her throat. "I'm sorry to interrupt your reunion, but how do you two know each other?"

Horizon and Light broke away from each other. "He's my mate!" She giggled. "We got separated several moons ago. Oh, I've missed you so much." The beautiful dilute calico gushed, pressing her muzzle to his. Light gazed fondly down at her, covering her ears in licks.

"I'm glad you two found each other again." Sunwatcher purred to the pair. "But, Horizon, we need to head out and hunt more soon." Horizon looked slightly disappointed but nodded anyway, nuzzling her mate goodbye before hurrying after Sunwatcher.

"hello? moonteller?" a voice called out from the tunnels, and moonteller opened her eyes quickly. "yes? whose there?" she called, her eyes wide. a tom walked into the pale light, his yellow eyes glinting. "i am dewdrop that falls on maple leaf. the tribe of endless hunting sent me to you." moonteller nodded, her ear flicking. "welcome to my tribe, maple. would you like to see our territory? follow me." moonteller walked forwards without a word, and maple struggled to follow her.

"So tell me Jade, how did you find yourself in my Tribe's territory?" The healer asked the black she cat.

"I swam down river and followed it for many days. I got hungry and saw this meadow and came here to hunt. Would have caught a mouse if you didn't come by though." Jade meowed a bit bitterly towards the end.

"Would you be interested in Tribe living? You look like a strong and brave cat so you would be a cave guard and not a prey hunter. Tribe of Whispered Brair is small but it is strong and growing and we could use the extra paws. Though after a moon goes by I will have to ask for you to make your decision so you may do the guard trial." Grassteller infromed her.

This was unexpected and Jade was slightly happy that she might be able to find a home "Sure I will give it a try. What is this trial you are talking about though?" she ashed the healer.

"Come on, I will tell you on the way back to camp." The calico tabby meowed as she turned to lead the way back to camp.

"Ouch Rain, that hurt." Dark cried to her brother as he bit her tail. He didn't stop though and Dark let out a wail for their mother.

Magpie heard the she-kit's cry and went to investigate. She let out a sigh as she saw the two play fighting with one another and separated them "I can't turn my back for one second without you two getting into so kind of trouble." she muttered to the two, who both were now giggling. The mother let out a sigh once again and went back to what she was doing. When the new comer was in camp though she didn't let her kits out of her sight and always seemed to place herself in front of the stranger.

With Ember's arrival Snake had all but forgotten about Fawn. Mudreader was relived that his tribe was flourishing already. He was even more relieved that he seemed to already have two prospective mating pairs - Fawn seemed head over heels for Talon and Snake was in awe of Ember. Albeit, Talon didn't seem quite as interested in the bullheaded she-cat as she was in him, Mudreader had hopes that the tom would eventually change his mind. Unless another she-cat found her way to the tribe.. For a moment the idea of a heartbroken Fawn daunted Mudreader but he quickly shook the thought. Fawn was a strong, capable she-cat who valued being just that - strong and capable. Mudreader knew that Fawn could handle her own be it in a fight with a physical enemy or with one of the emotional variety.

As Mudreader sat, perplexed by the ideas in his own head he hadn't noticed that Fawn had approached. "Mudreader.." the she-cat piped up, her fluffy frame outsizing the Healer. Mudreader looked up, shaking the glaze from his eyes with a quiet hmm. "Who will you ask the ancestors for this visit?" The tom eye-balled the she-cat and mulled over the question for a moment, "I wasn't thinking of asking for anyone in particular. Why, does something trouble you?" Fawn purred lightly and shook her head - a pleasant gesture for the first time in several moons, "Not at all! Just curious to see if you had any particular plans."

"Fawn!" Talon's voice crawled across the camp and Fawn's head snapped in his direction. "Go. I'll be in the Mud-den for most of the night." Mudreader coo'd. Fawn nodded lightly at Mudreader before racing off in the direction of Talon.

"I bet I can catch two pieces of prey to your one!" Mudreader's eyes glided over to the new voice to see Snake's sandy form teasing that of their newest member - Ember. The she-cat sat hunched over a snake and swiped a paw out playfully toward Snake, "You wish." She said after she'd finished chewing, "You can hardly catch a single fish without help." The tortoiseshell rose to her feet and head-butted the tom lightly, "We'll just see who's right when the sun falls." With a chorus of chuckles the two cats rushed out of camp and off toward their hunting journey of the day.

Mudreader rose to his feet, a content grin on his features. He had only one destination for the day - the mud-den to ask the Tribe of Endless Hunting for a new member. He could only hope they would bless him.

Fawn and Talon led the small, brown tabby into camp. Mudreader approached, eyeing the small cat curiously. "Mudreader." the guard bowed his head in greeting, "This is Sparrow on the Breeze, he's six moons old." The Healer cocked his head as he looked at the young cat. Sparrow looked Mudreader dead in the eye, no expression apparent emotion on his face, "You look like you could grow into a great Prey-Hunter, Sparrow." Mudreader turned away, "Snake!" Snake quickly appeared, leaving Ember at the fresh-kill pile to join the Healer and guards, "Yes, Mudreader?" Mudreader flicked his tail toward Sparrow, "This is Sparrow, I believe he can grow to be a great Prey-Hunter. I want you to mentor him in the ways of the swamp." Snake smiled and nodded, agreeing to mentor the to-be.

A while later, after Ember and Snake had both finished their meals the two older cats sat with the young tom, "So, Sparrow, are you excited to become a Prey-Hunter?" Snake asked, purring lightly at the young cat. Sparrow rolled his eyes, "Suuure. Whatever." Snake pulled his head back at the venom laced into the young cat's voice and shifted his gaze toward Ember. Ember offered nothing more then a light shrug. "Well, I hope Ember and I can change your ill view of Prey-Hunter life. I'll take you training today."

A while later a she-cat approached the camp, her lightly swollen belly swaying under her. She sighed as she entered the camp, settling onto her haunches. Mudreader rushed toward the she-cat, concern lit in his eyes, "Hello." the tom spoke as he got close, examining the she-cat from a distance - his healing instincts kicking in at the sight of a she-cat in distress. The she-cat looked up and smiled lightly, "Hello.." the dilute panted, "My name is Glow of Sun Through Pines. I was sent to find a Mudreader?" The tom bowed his head lightly, "I am Mudreader, welcome to the Tribe of Muddy Ferns, Glow of Sun Through Pines." Glow smiled lightly, "I'm glad I found this place, I fear that I would've passed out had I wondered any longer." the she-cat gazed around camp, "I'm with kits, I hope that won't be a problem.." Glow trailed off. Mudreader purred strongly, "We will help you and welcome your kits with open paws, Glow."
