Work on the camp was nearly complete, all the new members helping the progress. By now the caves were almost completely cleared out, and the clan members had started to separate into different caves. Whiskersnow and Boulderstripe remained in the original cave with their two youngest, and Stormstrike had moved into a cave with Eelstar. Sparrowpaw often switched between the two caves, sleeping with her family unless she had to wake early for training, staying in the second cave so that she wouldn’t wake them when she got up. Cherryberry, Amberstone and the newly named Foxfire shared a third cave while the new medicine cat made her den in a medium sized cave with a small stream of water running along one wall.

Currently, the clan was gathered around the main cave. Whiskersnow was having a conversation with Cherryberry and Foxfire, one eye on the kits who were play fighting with Sparrowpaw. Meanwhile Eelstar, Stormstrike and Boulderstripe were discussing future plans for the clan while Amberstone sat off to the side, looking out of the cave at the water. Waspthistle being nowhere to be found, likely using herb hunting as an excuse to not have to socialize with the rest of the clan. Stormstrike breaks off from the group, walking over to the group around Whiskersnow. “Foxfire, Sparrowpaw we’re going on a border patrol. Cherryberry, you’ll also go on patrol with Boulderstripe.” The other cats nod, saying quick goodbyes before meeting up outside the camp entrance.

Both patrols walk with each other to the far border before splitting off, Stormstrike leading his patrol along one border while Boulderstripe leads Cherryberry along the opposite way. Both patrols planned to return along the shore.

Back at the camp, Eelstar and Amberstone were walking through the tunnels towards the exit. “Thank you again for helping me hunt” Amberstone said “I don’t know what I would have done if you and your clan hadn’t taken me in.” Eelstar smiles “don’t worry about it, kid. It would have been cruel to leave you after what that storm did. Besides, you’ll have plenty of time to learn how to live in the wild.” He pauses, glancing to the side “and if you decide that your home belongs somewhere else, that’s ok. We won’t hold it against you, ok?”

Amberstone nods “I don’t plan to leave. I do miss my old housefolk greatly, but I could never replace them. And aside from them, my life there was rather dull.” She admits “so I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere anytime soon, my home now is Cliffclan”

“That’s good to hear,” Eelstar responds “now, why don’t we try over by the shore? If there’s nothing on land, we can try in the water.” He says, starting to walk in that direction. Amberstone quickly follows as the leader starts talking about different hunting techniques.
