summer has reached the lands, bringing out the warm sun and potential rains. prey is abundant but the weather is hot, and there are certain days where the heat ruins the growth of new herbs. predators are becoming more active, and humans can be seen wandering among the territory depending on where your pack lives. stay sharp and be careful.

xxxxKedah couldn't help her loneliness. She'd been separated from her brother, and only even a half moon ago. But it felt so long! She'd barely ever been separated from him in her life before, and she already hated it. Kedah could only hope that they'd find each other again.
xxxxBecause, in the meantime, her heart felt hollow and heavy.
xxxx"Ey'up, Kala-..." She'd done it again.
xxxxShe kept doing it. Talking to the thin air, where she was used to her brother being. She couldn't help it. It was instinct. She'd been with him for two whole years, and yet, now, they were apart, and through neither of their choices. They'd only had a tiny argument!
xxxx"Who's Kala?" Kedah's eyes widened.
xxxxHer head turned to the side, where the question had come from. She was sheltering under a siding, below a bridge, where every few minutes, a rattling train would pass overhead, shaking the very tarmac beneath her paws. Rain splatted down in front.
xxxxKedah hated being far back in a recess. She liked being able to get out and be active quickly, and so she had nestled only a leg's length from where the tarmac became dry. One edge of the siding was damp, where a tiny trickle of rain had found a tiny runnel in the tarmac. She hadn't thought to check further back.
xxxxAnd there, deep in the dark, Kedah caught a glimpse of a single pair of eyes, partially obscured by something.
xxxxBut it wasn't hard to judge by the voice.
xxxxIt had belonged to an older fae, speaking in a very "proper" accent, from what she'd seen. Definitely another dog, if Kedah could understand her.
xxxx"Who's there?" Kedah asked, her ears perking, teeth slightly bared.
xxxxThere was a slight chuckle from the dark, and then the sound of a shifting weight, and a set of clicking claws against the hard floor, with strong, heavy breathing.
xxxx"My name's Frith."
xxxxFrith was a relief to see. Kedah had got the impression she was going to be huge, a massive threat to her own safety, and that staying near the entrance, where she could run quickly, was going to be a wise idea. But clearly she was wrong.
xxxxFrith was far shorter than her, with hair obscuring her face and eyes, which would make any threat she placed far smaller. Frith looked about as dangerous as a blade of grass.
xxxx"Kedah."
xxxxFrith sat herself down on the other side of the siding, still just a leg length behind the start of the dry ground.
xxxx"Good to meet you, Kedah."
xxxxThey were silent for a long time, watching the rain falling down outside, and the humans under their umbrellas running past. Little rivers running out of over-filled gutters and water streaming out onto the ground around.
xxxxAnd when the rain let up, and its only reminder was the wet ground and the wide puddles... Kedah didn't leave.
xxxxShe was planning to, of course. But... It felt wrong to leave already. Frith seemed so small and fragile compared to her. Like she needed someone to defend her, and Kedah didn't want to leave for her own sake either. It had not been long at all since she'd lost her brother, and Frith was certainly no replacement, but, perhaps, if she was lucky, she'd at least be able to soften her loneliness.

(I'm just gonna do the brief rank explanation here: They're all just renames except for the removal of omegas - there is a complete lack of evidence that canines actually have omegas in their groups in the wild, and although accuracy is not my main aim, if I can remove a mild pet peeve, I will - and the split of the Ironteeth.
Beef-eater is the term for the stereotypical sorts of guards that stand outside places like Buckingham Palace, so will be dogs valued for their ability to defend other dogs.
Adorare is the root word for Adorable, and that should be enough of a summary of them... but in case it's not, they're valued for looking adorable and being cunning. Basically.
A dog can be bits of both, and neither group is excluded from the other function, but they choose which to specialise in during their apprenticehood.)

the canines of the nephilim alliance take up camp in japan, in the mountains as shown above. they are a tightly knit
group bound by loyalty and their worshiping of the angel raziel, their founder and the very reason the alliance
stands today. they are more commonly known as the nephilim rather than the nephilim alliance, however.

their leader, the clave, is known as isadora, and she is said to be the daughter of raziel himself, and therefore,
was chosen by him to lead them. the alliance, and all of those who have ascended - as you must ascend and be
accepted by raziel to be known as a true nephilim - are bound by the covenant, their holy law and also known
as the law of angels, and it is unheard of a nephilim to break away from the
alliance unless they wish to endure a
pain like no other, and one that could possibly result in their death..

the law is hard, but it is the law.

when a mundane, as they call canines who were not born into the nephilim - in other words, canines who were not born
into the alliance - ascend, it is required that they take up the oath of the covenant, and afterward, it is up to raziel
if that canine were to join the nephilim’s ranks, as one of their own. when a shadowhunter, or their warriors, is chosen
by the clave before them as their second-in-command, or the beast master, and that clave dies, the beast master is then required
to re-ascend and take up the rune of the clave, which is burned onto their shoulder, and if they successfully
re-ascend, they are to choose another beast master who will take their place when they die.

once every week, the clave will travel to the single cherry tree on the peak of raziel’s mountain - the highest peak
in the idris mountains where the nephilim alliance have made their territory - to request from the angels a pack mate.

note: progeny and shadow-slayers have not already ascended, and must do so when graduating to shadowhunter.

the clave - in modern terms the clave is known as the alpha of the alliance, and is hand-picked under raziel’s guidance.
the clave is bound to the covenant, and although they cannot remove laws,
they can add them under the consent of
raziel and his council. the rune of angles is burned into their shoulder when they re-ascend using the mortal cup.

the beast master - in modern terms the beast master is the beta of the alliance and the second-in-command
of the clave. they organize border patrols and hunting parties, and apart
from the angel raziel and his council
of angels, he is the clave’s closest confident and advisor.

iron sister/silent brother - in modern terms the iron sister or the silent brother is the healer of the alliance who, apart from
the clave, communicates with raziel and his council of angels the most, and they interpret prophecies and omens,
using herbs and other materials to heal. they are sent directly from raziel, and
often have a disability of some sort.

shadowhunters - in modern terms they are the warriors, hunters, scouts, and the patrollers of the alliance who train shadow-slayers.

progeny are the offspring of a shadowhunter and a mundane or two shadowhunters.

the forsaken are also known as slaves who have not and will never ascend and who assist in the nursery.

Reyna’s eyes flicked over the pack that has so rapidly formed around her. Already, there were pups, some tiny, some almost ready to become tenderpaws, the future of the pack. Examining each fae in turn, she finally shook her head. No, none of these were suitable to be her first healer. She must speak with the ancestors, those who had called her away from the two-legs, and request help. She bristled slightly at the word help, but shook it off. This was beyond her power, and there was no shame in asking for help in a matter in which one has no control.

“Delta.” she called sharply, “Take Rexx, Blizzard, and Kaede and go hunting. There are already many mouths to feed.”

“Yes, alpha.” The fae responded immediately, glancing at the named dogs and signaling for them to fall into line.

“Laika,” Reyna continued, “When they return, take Ace, Sage and Sepun and patrol the area. Alert me to any threats or intrusions, as well as any food sources you find,”

“Yes, alpha.” The small, husky like dog answered sharply, “And until then?”

“Watch the camp, help finish the dens for the newest dogs.” Reyna instructed, “I must go and communicate with our ancestors, which will likely take the greater part of the day. Laika and Delta are in charge until I return."

Eleazar was content with his current pack.  It was already big with dogs flocking to join, most of them from packs that died or fell apart.  His wouldn't though.. not while he was in charge— which he intended to be for as long as he lived.  The Jackals had pups, which was now their main priority for the sake that they were the future of the gang.  They were the weakest in the pack and would need the most care.  Eleazar glanced over where the pups were.  They were curled around Nyx with their mother Heidi nowhere to be seen, probably off suntanning on a old car.
Eleazar was pleased with Nyx, she was proving to be useful with pups.. but not useful enough to become a actual part of the pack.  For now she was a scapegoat and would stay their until her worth could be proved.  She was a pretty thing but also quite petite compared to the rest of the pack.  She was often left in their dust when they wanted to go out and race or fight against eachother.   Nyx lifted her head to look around before meeting his gaze.  She looked away quickly and tucked her head in her paws.
Eleazar laughed before hopping off the car he was resting on, which groaned in response.  He walked up to Ricochet, who was now named Salem, and began to speak.  "I need to you to organize a patrol and a hunting group.  Do you understand?"  He asked.  Salem nodded his head.  "Yes Boss."  Eleazar smiled briefly "Good.  No more standing around, everyone needs to be put to work."

my kennel is called the clawtooth pack
the territory of this pack is in a dense forest, which was stolen territory. the forest is mainly spruce and pine trees, but there are oaks here and there. the forest territory is quite large, but they're willing to expand further. there are many places for water sources, meetings, and dens. with prey so plentiful, it is easy to survive. the pack members are ruthless, strong, protective, strong-willed, and quite evil. they will drive anyone they don't want in their pack or territory out. those who are too weak are driven out in a blink of an eye. yet, a few dogs are strong, yet dont go by the alpha's rules. the beta and a few irontooth and tenderpaw pack members sneak off, saying they're on patrol, yet they find ways to take out the leader. the alpha is the one causing destruction, and it's time for them to be taken down. at one point, clawtooth was a peaceful pack (despite the name) and were quite reserved, yet once a few evil alphas have dominated, their reputation has been ruined. they've taken territory, killed innocents, made cruel rules, and sent witch hunts on innocent, just for the taste of blood. the clawtooth pack is now a name pups and tenderpaws spread to scare others, yet some don't believe in the clawtooth pack. though, they're very real.
