i always love finding new songs in languages other than english, and the instrumentals are sooo good !!! i loved this, adding to my playlist for sure >:3

it's 100% nostalgia but thats okay and i completely get it!! i'm not nostalgia blind to this song specifically, so her voice sounds stale, and i hate the vowel enunciation in the beginning. i am rockin with the drums though, they really carry the song for me. the music video is terrible but in a funny way. i mean why did they just have her bouncing in one spot for like a minute and a half, staring right at the camera? her acting became the focal point, and it wasn't very good (no hate, i grew up on hannah montana and you can't convince me she wasn't killing that role).

now i also want to just ramble about 2000s songs and how they had an oomph to them, which might just be my nostalgia blindness. i frequently listen to music from that era and it feels like a guilty pleasure because whenever someone else listens, they hate it. repeats for me are "play my music" by the jonas brothers, "complicated" by avril lavinge, and "she's so gone" by naomi scott (i was a disney kid don't h8 me). honestly i feel like music back then was just more fun than it has been the last couple years, which could be a sign of the times. i saw that fun spirit in "you are the only one" - it's supposed to be an angsty song about dealing with a toxic relationship but it has an electric guitar making riffs and powerful drums that stand out throughout the song. the lyrics aren't even that sad, they are simple and surface-level. the production of the music video highlights this even more; there is a single set with what looks like a terrible party turnout, the camera zooms in and out of osment's face without changing angles, and there are so many cuts you'd think we're playing fruit ninja. i mean, did they really expect us to take this seriously?

there's so many examples of this fun little spirit if you listen to music from then, even outside pop. it also just reminds me of a simpler time when things were a little brighter. to reiterate, i completely understand why you like this song! this is just something i wanted to talk about for a while and you gave me a perfect chance <3
