i honestly didn’t love this. the melody wasn’t compelling to me and i’m not quite a fan of the techniques the vocalist employed. maybe if it were a more polished and mixed version of the song, i’d have a different opinion, but this performance wasn’t really for me unfortunately

I quite liked this!! If it makes any sense, this song feels older than it is (this is a compliment!!!). It reminds me of old country with how laid back and mellow it is. I also really liked the lyrics near the end that says something along the lines of "I'm repenting for my father's sins." That is YUMMY.
