Lily nuzzled Hazel. "Hungry?" she asked, offering a hunk of sheep flesh.

After they ate, Lily ordered Hazel to stay with Poppy in the nursery and she and Milo went into the forest to herb-hunt.

Flash was setting up patrols when tiny paws scrabbled at his flank.

"Papa!" Buster yelled. "Papa!"

A golden pup was batting at his tail while Samuel and Kiki showed Hazel the elders' den.

"It's empty because nobody's old enough yet," Kiki's shrill voice hit Flash's ears.

❀ Spring ❀

winter was harsh and unforgiving, claiming the lives of many animals that were too weak to make it through the chilling months. prey had been scarce for so long, yet with gentle rays of warm sunlight beginning to break through the gray clouds, spring had begun. the grass is now growing greener, small flower buds are forming and there are tiny leaves sprouting along branches. prey are crawling out from their dens, making hunting much easier.

Brutus wasn't sure what to make of the loner as standing on the border. She had a lovely brown fluffy coat and wide hazel eyes. She looked like she was debating crossing into the territory. It almost reminded him of the day he joined the kennel: unsure and insecure about what he might be getting himself into. "Let me talk to her." He told Hector and Eros, who nodded the agreement and stood off to the side while Brutus alone approached the dog. Her head shot up when she saw him and her ears flew to her head. Brutus instantly stopped and lowered his head a little. "Wait, wait, don't be scared." He said gently, trying not to spook her farther.
[will finish this up later, but there's a synopsis below --]

Nyx hesitantly joins the pack after Brutus talks to her. He promises her that she can stay a few moons and then make her decision. But he actually really hopes she stays because he's starting to like her. Ares accepts the proposition and takes her out to see the territory. Enyo has her spidey sense and sees how taken Brutus is and is like 'girl I think that boy has a crush on you because my mate had that same dopey look on his face when he met me' and Nyx is kind of scared but also flattered.

Nike goes into labor and Delphi is nervous because this is her first real procedure as a full shaman but mama Diana doesn't let her freak out. Apollo on the other hand does freak out and Artemis literally has to drag her brother out of camp by the tail to get him to calm down.
