i don't really ever have a theme per say, it's usually just a mix of things i like.
however, i usually change it quite frequently, but in cases where i'm really happy with my signature or avatar, i'll keep them for quite a while.

I do but I'm not sure how many. I have one for each artist, one with all songs, some for sad or bitter moods, some for good days, some for when I'm feeling especially romantic. Too many is probably my best answer.
