Wait, How are we gonna get more dogs if we can only run with 2 dogs.... I thought the point of running was to get more dogs! Do we have to wait a WEEK until we can go on runs to get dogs naturally????

Mod note: In response to your question about running, running isn’t the only way to get dogs! If you Musher goes exploring, they have a chance to find dogs as well. Patrols made of dogs are runs, patrols made of Mushers are explorations.

Solus sighed as she went back into the house, leaving Axolotl to sleep on the porch like usual. She had found a small kennel in the garage, and knew that she needed to put it to use! She had pulled it out, and dusted it off, the dome structure could fit up to four dogs in it, and right now Axolotl was enjoying the room to the fullest. She was excited that the kennel had room, and she was proud of the future of her team. She worried about him though, yes he was a strong male, but she knew that he wouldn't be able to pull her on his own for long. She needed to get another dog, and soon.

Alasie finished rising off her dishes and stuck them in the dishwasher, turning the machine on before turning and heading towards the front door. She pulled her jacket on and slipped her sock-covered feet into her boots before picking up her backpack that held certain items that she felt she needed to keep with her every time she left the house.

The brown-haired girl groaned when she heard her phone ringing, snatching the device up and hitting the answer button. "Yes, Mom?" She said, knowing that it could only be her mother calling at this time in the day. "No, Mom. I'm about to head there now. No, I haven't ordered the dog yet. The old man that worked there said they were getting some in today that I could take a look at. Alright, Alright, bye mom, love you!" She quickly hit the end call button and shoved her cell into the pocket of her jacket before wrenching the front door to her home open.

Alasie opened the door to the dog kennel, letting out a cheery hello to everyone who was already inside. A few hellos were returned back to her, but it was mainly annoyed looks that she received. The young girl rolled her eyes and hurried to the front counter where the same old man she had talked to last week was standing. He smiled at the sight of her. "Back again?"

"Yes! Have you gotten any of those dogs in that you mentioned last time?" Alasie asked eagerly.

"Not yet, they'll definitely be in by next week. But, I managed to get the breeder to send some pictures of the dogs he was sending down." The old man reached under the counter and pulled out an envelope, removing the pictures that were inside and handing them over.

Alasie flipped through the stack of pictures, cooing at all of the pretty and strong-looking dogs. Any of these would be great lead dog's but none of them feel right. She thought to herself as she flipped past yet another Akita Inu. She paused when she reached a picture of a fluffy white dog playing in a pile of leaves.

"This one." She smiled, turning the picture towards the old man. "This one is perfect."

"Alright, you're on the team," she smiled, getting to her feet. "What to name you though," she mused, glancing at the dog. "How about Dakota?" she asked, smiling as the dog gave another bark. kennel :: the team is named after the forest that surrounds their kennel. a chilly breeze
constantly flows through the trees, creating the illusion of voices. this illusion can be unsettling
for some, but calming to the dogs who live there. their kennel is rather far from town, so the team's
appearances aren't very frequent. it is unknown by all citizens what the owner and dogs do at their kennel.

reputation :: this team is rather mysterious, preferring to keep their distances with other dogs and townies.
the owner is quite strict in affairs and appears cold and reserved to most. however, it is clear that the dogs
aren't mistreated in any way, because their tails are constantly wagging and while they may not be the
friendliest, they can't refuse a few pats.

owner :: the owner of this sled team is a young woman who's passionate about two things; dogs and mystery novels.
