"Yes, Bird. I am completely sure." Sunwatcher mewed after swallowing her mouthful.

"But maybe Horizon should train him. Her energy matches his, she can keep up with him." Bird looked over to the other side of the cave where Horizon and the newest addition to the tribe, a ginger and white tom named Thunder, were play-fighting. "A mentor should be able to get along with their to-be."

Sunwatcher got to her paws and moved in front of Bird, forcing her to stop pacing. "A mentor isn't meant to be their to-be's friend, Bird. The mentor must teach them what is right and what is wrong, you need to teach him everything he needs to know to survive, that way he can pass it to his own to-be one day. Besides, a mentor's temperament should never match that of their to-be, I'm hoping you'll calm him down by the time he becomes a prey-hunter as well."

"I am Teller of Sun Shadow, but you may call me Sunshadow." the orange tabby explains. This causes the young cat to nodded his a head a bit, smiling. "I am Flame." the to-be meows, a big smile on his face.

"From this day forward you shall be known as Flame that never dies" Sunshadow declares. The pair headed back to camp and set up the nesting material in some of the dens before deciding to head out to hunt. If they where to survive they would need food, and more cats.

the figure in the distance slowly grew larger and larger upon approaching the entrance to the cave. he paused for a moment, turning back to look the way he came; the sun slowly dipped below the horizon, its dying rays of light giving way to darkness. he stared in wonder for a moment longer; even though he had witnessed a sunset many times before, it never stopped amazing him. with a small flick of his tail, sand turned to carefully make his way into the cave.

it was quite different than his own; for one, the ground was slippery and wet, the sound of droplets pattering upon the cave floor echoing around him. it was much colder than home, a biting breeze ruffling his short fur and sending shivers down his spine. he slowly took another step forward, towards the pool glowing with all the light of the moon and stars combined. his reflection flickered before him, mimicking his actions as he leaned forward to press his nose against the water's surface.

"Shadows that Sway in the Grass, this is Sandstorms across the Deep." Shadow smiled at her. "It is nice to meet you, I am the Mort-Skinner. You should start thinking of a companion." Sandstorm nodded at this and she seemed to understand what he was talking about which meant Glowingsouls told her on their way here. "We have no hunters so, for now, we are all hunting for food until we find some."

"That is fine, I do know how to hunt, I am certainly not the best but I know how." Glowingsouls smiled at this and looked at the two of them. "I will be making the Markings you requested. Red, blue, and I am searching for some violent flowers of some kind to make purple." Glowingsouls nodded in approval at this and looked at him. Fawn quickly decided that her favorite cat was Talon. She was developing quite the crush on the tom which left poor Snake feeling a little left out and jealous. Albeit, Snake was a calm fellow who bounced back from things quickly and easily but he still found himself fawning over the long-haired guard in his down time. While Fawn decided she was fond of the tom, Snake decided quite the opposite.

"Snake." Mudreader's voice carried across the large island the Tribe called camp. When Snake glanced up from the stick he was tossing between his paws he saw Mudreader beckon him over. The Prey-Hunter rose instantly and trotted toward the healer with a bow of his head, "Yes, Mudreader?' The dark brown tom eyed the sandier tom, "I just wanted to tell you that I'm thankful for you. The stars are sending us guards and you have a lot of work to do as the only prey-hunter for the tribe." Snake blinked, bashful for once, "Well.. I.. Th-thank you." Mudreader smiled fondly, "I was thinking that maybe I could join you for a hunt today?" Snake pulled his head back, shocked before nodding with a grin, "How could I ever say no, Mudreader?" The healer chuckled and flicked his tail at the smaller tom before standing to leave.

Fawn rushed over to the pair, "What's going on?" she hissed lightly, obviously suspicious with the duo. Mudreader gazed at Fawn calmly, "I figured I'd help Snake this morning as he's our only Prey-Hunter and he was a lot of cats to feed." Fawn stumbled over her own paws, expecting an answer that wasn't that one. She pulled her head back stoically and nodded awkwardly, "Of course.. Talon and I will search for Prey-Hunters on our patrol of the territory this morning."

Without waiting to be dismissed the she-cat was gone and Mudreader heard Snake sigh deeply. The Healer noted that the Prey-Hunter's tail was drooping as they left camp. Once far enough away Mudreader purred, "Don't get your tail in a curl over her, Snake. We'll have plenty of she-cats worthy of your gaze soon enough."

teller of snowed ground licked her paws softly, her journey had finally ended. the molly had completed her trek up the mountain and into the camp where she'd been told her ancestors had lived in. snowed looked at the quiet, quaint little camp one last time before she picked herself and moved swiftly through the trees. she could feel the pull of her ancestors near-by, it was almost like a magnetic pull that was forcibly dragging her to the spot.

when snowed reached the spot she found a clearing filled with snow and nothing else, snowspot. she smiled ever so slightly before sitting in the middle of the clearing and shutting her steely blue eyes. her thoughts wandering and mingling as she awaited for a small whisper that she believed to be the tribe of endless hunting.
