A single cat walked atop the roof of a old apartment building, their limping gait unsteady yet powerful. Blood soaked the plush silver coat of the molly, the city lights illuminating her wounds.

indent Her flank bore a deep cuts, undoubtedly of another cat, though it appeared that the majority of the crimson substance was from other cats. A fight had occurred, though the extent of how disastrous it had become couldn’t be imagined through the pelage of just one cat. In all truth, it could be considered more of a slaughter than a fight.

indent And Neith was enraged by it. Her body was rigid, muscles taut and claws unsheathed as though in a fleeting moment, another cat was going to suddenly attack. Her ears were pinned to her head, the two dog teeth pierced through her left ear visible.

indent The cat slowly sat down, her tail brushing gently over blood-soaked paws as she tilted her chin up. Her green eyes searched the night sky before looking onto the city, seeing the vibrant billboards and signs, even the blaring lights of cars as they drove through the busy streets. Her mind never wandered from the thought that had formed since the massacre, and as she glanced back up to the stars, she knew what she must do.

Leaf Fall

Weather:

Greenleaf was dry and caused the leaves to fall early and now most of the trees seem to be bare already. The dry weather has not changed, but at least now it is starting to cool off. Predators are going to be found more often now as they try to stock up on prey before the coming winter. Prey is starting to become scarcer now, but herbs seem to be in abundance now. Rogue groups are going to be about as they try to claim as much territory as they can for the soon to be harsh leaf bare. As if this is not enough, the smell of smoke is in the air, lets hope that the fires do not spread to the territories.

Number of Cats: 43

The patrol returned with talks of an injured cat. Birdstar stepped up to the chance that they should investigate and possibly save their life. "Those twolegs won't be able to take us or any other cats in the forest!" she said.
"Do you think they would be willing to join the clan then?" Bramblestep asked.
"After we help them, they probably will."
"That's a good point," he nodded. "What cats should we bring for the patrol?"
"I will go myself and I would like you to stay behind at camp for once. The clan needs you here," she mewed.
"I... Well, that's true. Do you want me to get anyone for you?"
"Please fetch me Hailmask. He will be useful for this particular patrol."
He nodded and Bramblestep dashed off to find Hailmask. He was sitting with his litter-mates and sharing tongues. He was surprised that Birdstar called him but immediately went to see her. She gave him a smile as he approached.

"Bramblestep said you needed me?" he said.
"Yes. As you might have heard, an injured cat is out there. I will send a patrol to look for them and you will join us. You were caught in a trap before so you might be able to calm them down," she told him.
"I suppose I could do that. I'll do my best, Birdstar," he replied.
"That's good to hear! I will gather some more cats and we can start looking," she smiled. She stepped down and Hailmask followed her closely. She chose Mothdapple and Dapplecloud to join them. Mothdapple because she was kindhearted and Dapplecloud because she was getting there in being more kind to others.

Mothdapple sat around camp as she waited for the patrol to leave. Her apprentice, Fernpaw, walked up to her.
"Aren't I ready for the warriors assessment now?" she asked. Mothdapple nodded.
"Then can I go and do it?"
"I asked Birdstar about it and she said we should wait once we find this cat. The objects are dangerous..."
"I'll avoid them! I'm smart!" she mewed loudly.
"I know... But Birdstar says to wait. Maybe next time, kiddo," she said with a slight smile. "I have to go now though."
"Oh, okay... Good luck and see you soon," Fernpaw said. She waved goodbye by twitching her tail.

Elsewhere, Bloomseed was at the outskirts of camp with her nose to the ground. She was looking for something...
"Why are you sniffing like a dog?" she heard a voice from behind her. She jumped in the air before spinning around.
"Ah, Foxfang! You startled me!" she shouted. He rolled his eyes. "I'm looking for clues!"
"Clues? For what?" he titled his head.
"Clues about Flamebelly's murder, duh! This whole time I've been acting as a detective. If no one else will, then I'll get justice for him!" she announced. Foxfang was taken aback by her doing this. How came he hadn't heard of it until now?
"What if the killer finds out and murders you too?" he asked her.
"That won't happen. That would be too obvious," she shook her head. "This cats a clever one. So clever that no one in the clan is showing any signs of it!"
"I see. Have you found anything?"
"I found fur but it's all ginger. Just must be Flamebelly's then," she shrugged.
"Good luck then," he said and turned around to leave. She was looking under a stone until she looked up to see him leave.
"Hey, Foxfang!" she called out to him. He turned his head to look at her. "No matter what happens you'll be on my side, right?"
He took a pause, like this was something he really needed to think about. "...Of course," he said at last. Bloomseed smiled and then watched him leave.

Hemlockbud groaned loudly, her elbows clicking as she shifted angrily. Her kitten, a light brown tom, was curled up at her side. She nuzzled Rattlekit, but yowled unexpectedly as her tail was trodden on by Costia. She peeled away, though only managed to stumble into Jayde, who was nursing three new-born kittens. Hemlockbud muttered her brief apologies, before pushing past Diamond- a mother of four squealing sets of lungs-, Sundance, and Yellowsong. She wasn’t worried about leaving Rattlekit, because she was positive that between the ten other queens shoved into the nursery he would be well watched over. She sulked over to Blodreina, slightly limping because of the confined quarters. “I demand you move the nursery to the second floor storage room. It’s bigger, and we can make the nursery hold our prey,”
Blodreina looked up, surprise in her gaze, only for the briefest of moments. Hemlockbud had no value of the traditions like the rest of the Azgeda warriors- she didn’t even speak Trigedasleng. So it wasn’t unusual that she was making demands to the Red Queen, while Skairipa looked on uneasily.
“Sorry, Blodreina. I’ll escort my sister-“
“Half sister and no you will not. There’s too many kits and expecting mothers in there. And, not to mention, no one even knows what to do with Heda’s kits.”
“Watch your mouth, Hemlockbud. Those kits could be your future commander.” Skairipa hissed, her tail lashing.
“Em pleni,” Blodreina interrupted, glancing at the two similar looking half-kin. “Both of you can help each other clear out the storage upstairs and move it downstairs so that the nursery can move. Make sure the crevices are block with stone,”
Skairipa nodded, but her half-sister was less keen on the idea of cleaning out storage. With a sharp glance from her sister, Hemlock kept her muzzle shut.

Diamond grieved for her two lost kittens, though she felt unending love for what would be her last litter. Yellowsong, one of her daughters, lay opposite of her; stomach bulging. Diamond’s other grandchildren, birthed by Jayde and fathered by Diamond’s son Oakshade, were mewling at the tortoiseshell stomach. Bellamy’s- another one of Diamond’s sons- mate Costia also laid in the nursery, pregnant with her grandchildren. She purred, overwhelmed with love and surrounded by her family. Though Luxx had most of their kittens in Swiftclan, Diamond missed them with her whole heart. After the loss of Octavia, she felt her whole world spin. Not only was the white blanketed cat her Heda, but her daughter and Bellamy’s twin sister. She knew Bellamy grieved greater than Yellowsong or even Echo, because of their deep connection. In fact, he often mumbled in his sleep, my sister, my responsibility, something Diamond had told him the day Octavia and himself could understand words. She knew he felt like he had failed her, but in a way, they were all responsible for her death. Her daughter-in-law may have grieved more than any of them: Dragon was the only cat that Diamond knew Octavia would bow to. Dragon is Octavia’s strength, as well as her weakness.
Well, she was. Diamond flinched unexpectedly at the cold grief that ran under her fur and across her skin. As if understanding what she was thinking, Yellowsong leaned into her mother. “I wish Octavia was here, too.”
“She is. She lives on in her kits,” Costia, an extremely religious flame keeper, murmured softly; beckoning to Nolana and Orpheus. The two spotted kits tumbled together, hardly aware of the loss of their mother. At first they grieved, but they were now far too strong to hold onto grief. They had Octavia’s strength. Diamond sighed at her grandchildren, feeling her heart ache as she saw Octavia in their very movements.

Several hours had passed since Hemlock's encounter with the Red Queen, so she sighed and started conversation. “It’s easier now because he’s little,” Hemlockbud admitted through a furry mouse. She dropped it near the steps, hips swiveling. “But when he’s older, will he understand why he has no father? Why his sister was snatched from him?”
Though somewhat surprised at Hemlock's sudden openness, Skairipa meowed, “Maybe just tell Rattlekit he doesn’t have littermates. Tell him his father is dead,” Skairipa offered advice, flicking her tail as she shoved a heron toward the pile at the stairs."It's what I told Waverly. And now she's grown and has her own kits," The molly dropped a trout on the growing pile. “My mother-“ She paused, correcting herself. “-Our mother never even told me about my father. I didn’t know I had a sister- or half sisters. I have littermates in so many clans,” She sighed softly, shaking her pelt. “I’m Skairipa now, not Skai, the little kit who cared about her mother and father abandoning her and starting a family with the kit they liked the best.”
“Me, too. I don’t know if I ever want to see Magnoliarose again. She abandoned me, too- to start the family that made you.” Hemlockbud commented quietly, her eyes sincere. Though neither of them said it, they both felt as though it was for the best; because they had been made close by their mother's betrayal.

Hazestar and his patrol returned to camp bruised and battered. Behind the tabby tom Shadowripple and Tumblecloud carried a large and fluffy orange body, the body of Lionfang. Hazestar was furious to have walked into an ambush, but angry at himself for walking into it. It was his fault one of his best warriors lost their lives in such a pointless battle. Hazetsar knew better then that, and yet here he was. A cry of sadness snapped Hazestar back to reality, only to see Cherryshine rush past him to Lionfang's body.

"No! Why!?" Cherryshine cried, pressing her muzzle in Lionfang's lifeless body. Not only where they best friends, but Lionfang had stepped up and acted like a father to her kits. As the red and white tabby she-cat cried, two warm bodies pressed themselves close to her. "Mother..." Emberspark and Acornfall meowed softly in unison. The three cats huddled close together, comforting one another as they mourned the lose of Lionfang.
