After receiving his starter, Ash was off to see what else was in the Pokemon world he could explore. There was new Pokemon, new things to collect, new places to explore... The world was now open to this trainer. He let his charmander follow him around as he started off into the edge of his town and through the gates. Now, he couldn't go back. But he didn't want to. He was wanted to keep moving forward. So he did. The first thing he searched for was items and Pokemon. If he learned anything from his years of study, its that Pokemon are used for almost anything. Companionship, protection, currency, items, quests, friends, and more..

As you begin your journey with your partner you almost trip on a strange object. After regaining balance you squat down and find it's an Egg! It doesn't seem to have a trainer with it or anything, judging by the small scratch mark across its shell it was probably rejected by the mother. Maybe you should take the Egg with you on your journey?

popplio turned to the challenging trainer, acting as an ado-
rable wall between them and his trainer. he held his ground,
preparing to fight before bee reached down to nudge him
him back, shaking her head.

"five hundred shells, eh?" she felt her belt, toying with the
other pokeballs before nodding. "shall we head to route 20?"

the two trainers walked in silence with only the sound of feet
crunching leaves filling the air. bee trembled at the thought
of her first, real battle.

"alright popcorn," he perked up at the mention of his name,
"i know you wanna pummle this guy but we'd better leave
this up to the others, alright?" he whined, nosing at bee's calf.

she giggled before continuing, "you're still too weak! i don't
want you to get hurt. the others can handle it." he gently
headbutted her once, then let out a noise of defeat. bee
brought him into her arms before the challenging trainer
stopped.

"guess we're starting?" the trainer nodded. bee grabbed her
dedenne's pokeball. "let's go cham!!"

The trainer threw out a Pokeball, revealing a Pikachu!

Pikachu used Quick Attack! Cham lost 10 health, 20 health remains.

"Okay Strawberry, we can do this," Patches murmured. "Our first catch. We can do this."
Strawberry grunted in agreement and jumped off Patches' shoulder, coming to stop in front of the Mankey, who jumped up and down, making agitated sounds.
"Strawberry, use blaze!" Patches cried, pointing at the Mankey.

Strawberry has not learned the move Blaze yet, so they use Scratch instead!
Mankey lost 5 health, 5 health remains for Mankey.

weakened it enough for her to throw a pokeball at it. she unclipped an empty p
okeball from her belt, rolling it between her fingers for a moment before takin
g aim and throwing it at the sandile. the pokemon disappeared inside, and she
waited anxiously, watching it roll.

The spheal used pound on popplio spooked.

He didn't really expect to see an egg on the way, but it was better to pick it up than leave it where it can potentially get eaten. Ash picked up the egg and carried it cafely in his arms as he looked around for a Pokecenter. Perhaps nothing could be done since it wasn't a Pokemon right now, but there was no harm in trying..

She looked at the pokeball she had received before calling out the pokemon inside.
"Spri?" Mesprit looked around, not used to being away from it's previous owners. It gave Lilly a strange look before floating around her, tilting it's head.
"Oh... uhm..." Lilly stuttered before reaching her hand out, the Mesprit allowed her to rub it's head and seemed to calm down as she started explaining how she obtained it. She sucked in a breath at the end before smiling.
"So, you'll be joining us on our adventure! If you'd like."
"Spri!" Mesprit nuzzled up against Lilly's head.
"Oh! you need a name too. What about Fai?"
"Spri, spri!"
Lilly chuckled from the excited Fai before looking around.
"Let's get going then!"
Fai nodded, deciding to go back into it's ball by tapping it with it's hand. Lilly smiled and put the ball in her bag before making her way out of town, deciding to move on.

confused, unsure of where the sandile had disappeared to. popplio's calm deme
anor suddenly changed to one of excitement and it leapt back toward the spheal,
ready for peekos to tell it what to do. peekos smiled but stayed where she was. s
he didn't want to catch the spheal and would feel terrible if her pokemon injured
it. she bent down next to popplio and shook her head. popplio opened her mouth,
probably to complain, but closed it and nodded solemnly. peekos pulled out popp
lio's pokeball and gently tapped it against her nose, causing popplio to disappear i
nside.

standing up, peekos walked away from the confused spheal to go find zeraora and
mudkip. they must be tired after all the time they had to play. she soon found th
em and told them that it was time to continue on the path to the gym. zeraora di
ssapeared inside its pokeball but peekos let mudkip stay out. they walked out of t
he park happily, mudkip chattering and the rest of her party resting inside their p
okeballs that were clipped securely on her belt.

Brand and Azure raised their heads and came running to Lex, away from Mimi's pokemon but they made sure they waved goodbye. Brand climbed up to Lex's head which made her giggle while Azure jumped high enough to Lex's shoulder. Dart and Quetzal also raised their heads and looked at Vizi, Lex's 2 pokemon nuzzled Vizi as if they were thanking it for the company and ran/flew to Lex. Dart jumped into Lex's arms (which she did cached him) and Quetzal just stayed near Lex, flying.
Erika (the mega absol) jumped in front of Mimi and Lex since it was her job to protect everyone and started to walk to the shop without notice.
"whoop! I guess we're already going!" Lex giggled as she followed the Absol
