i can't say that i agree with that. i don't like it at all, but it's okay if you do.
people need to stop buying and/or suggesting pets for others that they've done no research over.
my ex did this with one of my old friends. my friend had never owned a dog before and was planning to get one, and my ex recommended that he get a shiba inu, because "they're cute". of course, that kind of breed is in no way good for beginners. they are incredibly temperamental, and tend to bite and bark a lot. had my friend actually gotten a shiba inu, and it ended up being an awful pet for him, that would have been completely my ex's fault due to his ignorance and only caring about the pet's outer appearance.
