SilverStar purred happily, her monochrome litter curled between her paws, SweetPaw and FiercePaw oohing and awing over the tiny kittens. ShadowFlight was giddy with pride, and was in no shape to go on patrol. SilverStar shifted slightly, catching sight of their newest warrior, “SandLeap, I know that this is a lot to ask, but would you mind going on border patrol?” SandLeap nodded, then startled slightly as MottledBerry appeared next to him. “I’m going out for herbs anyways, so I can show him where the borders are.” she offered. SilverStar let out a sigh of relief. “Thank you so much MottledBerry.” she returned her attention to her five new kits, not noticing SweetPaw slip away, off to the ObsidianClan border, praying that she would see FrecklePaw.

ShadowFlight frowned worriedly as his mate gave him instructions on how to speak with StarClan, “And for the love of StarClan DO NOT ask specifically for a queen or kits. If they choose to send one to us, we will gladly accept them, but our main need is a warrior, or warriors, right now.” SilverStar instructed. “Okay. And you’re sure that you’ll be okay?” “I’ll be fine. SweetPaw, FiercePaw, SandLeap and MottledBerry will be here. No need to worry.” she purred, “Now go, speak with StarClan.”

Frostpaw woke earlier than usual this morning. She was thirteen moons, almost a warrior. Only one training session was left, and she was bubbling with excitement. Looking around the camp for Ashenclaw, she spotted the deputy assigning patrols, and bounded up to him, grinning almost ear to ear. Upon seeing her obvious excitement, he stopped speaking to Patchthorn for a moment. "Hey.. what is it?" "Last training session is today!" she exclaimed. Ashenclaw chuckled and told her that as soon as he was done with the patrols, they would go train, and Frostpaw trotted over to the camp entrance to wait for him.

"Patchthorn and Tinyfeather, you are going to be on border patrol," the deputy stated, and the two warriors dipped their heads in farewell before heading out of camp. And on the hunting patrol," Ashenclaw continued, Briardusk, Dustfall, and Webfang."

Emberstar's ears perked up as she heard the last name her deputy listed. "Wait!" she called, trotting quickly toward the departing hunting patrol. "Webfang, I -- I wanted to speak to you.... You two would be fine on your own, right?" she asked the other warriors. When they nodded and proceeded to leave the camp, she turned back to a somewhat confused Webfang. "Come with me." They padded into the forest a little ways until the tabby warrior finally asked, "Okay, what's going on here?.." Emberstar sighed as she tried to think of how exactly she was going to word this. She was certainly not the best at this sort of thing, and hoped she wouldn't be really blunt about it. "So ... I've been wanting to ask you something for a little while...." She paused, the nervousness growing rapidly inside her, making her wonder if she had made the right choice and if she could actually do it. "Yes?..." The leader took a deep breath before saying, "I'm probably going to be blunt about it, because that's just me," she laughed a bit at herself. Webfang let himself smile a little and stopped walking and turned to face her. "I really don't care, I just need to know what you're going to tell me -- it's driving me crazy!" They both chuckled before Emberstar finally worked up the courage to ask him, "Will you be my mate?" Her voice was shaky and quiet, but he didn't seem to care. A wide grin appeared on his face and he licked her cheek before saying, "Of course I will."

Pinefur gently pressed a goldenrod & horsetail poultice onto Sycamorewhisker's shoulder, making the gray & white tom wince slightly in response. "You'll be out of here in no time," he purred reassuringly, "And then you'll be able to begin your flower quest." Hesitating for a moment, the patient responded reluctantly, "Actually... About that. I was wondering if I'd be able to postpone it until my kittens become apprentices; I wouldn't want to miss that for the world." The medicine cat was silent as he processed the request; he knew on rare occasion, like with Barleystorm, cats would refuse to go as long as Starclan approved. Pinefur slowly nodded, "I'll ask Starclan first." Sycamorewhisker seemed content with his answer and curled up for a moment's rest.

Dipping the petals beneath the water's surface, his vision began to blur before him. Aspenpaw stood midst a meadow of the most beautiful flowers imaginable; Oatstar had taught him of this place. It was called the meadow of Leilani and was named after the founder of the clan before Asterclan, a kittypet. Small white and red butterflies flew in lazy spirals around him and one landed on his nose. He was so distracted by the winged insect that he didn't notice the ethereal figures standing before him. The apprentice let out an awed gasp, scaring the creature away, but he no longer cared. A pretty tabby stepped forward, smiling in amusement at his reaction.

"You've come a long way, Aspenpaw," she mewed, her voice light and airy, "You've trained hard to learn the ways of our noble code, and I commend Oatstar to you as a warrior in her turn." The female paused for a moment's rest before continuing, "Aspenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Without hesitation, the apprentice responded breathlessly, "I do." "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Aspenpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Aspentail. Starclan honors your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Asterclan."

The pretty deputy approached the female warrior careful picking apart a chipmunk, "Hey, Falconflower," Sheepclaw purred warmly, "When you're done, would you like to come hunting with me?" Taking a moment to finish chewing & swallowing, the brown tabby nodded her agreement, "Of course! Where to?" The deputy thought for a moment before answering, "How about near the northern border?" She hinted, hoping to see Ashenclaw again.

Redclaw organized the patrols that day. He and Graystar would hunt, then WIllowstep would look for herbs. Since Whitefeather was so close to kitting, he figured that she should just rest, which the queen did happily. So that was what they did, and then they ate a rabbit together. (Sorry, no time)

"We believe in second chances."

Onyxstar grinned proudly as she stepped onto a large, broken tree trunk, admiring her very own clan territory. Finally. Lotusclan had begun.

"A place to finally repent your sins, a place where everyone is accepted," She whispered faintly, her eyes gleaming. Onyxstar had done horrible things, unspeakable things, and was shunned from her clan. Even after a few moons later, when she had finally learned her lesson and went back to her old self, her clan still avoided her, and refused to let her in. That, was heartbreaking. And so, she created Lotusclan.

"Goodbye Ravenfall, hello Onyxstar."

The first thing she wanted to do was patrol her borders, get to know her surroundings and what she was dealing with.

When Cloud-dapple's kit had been stillborn, the Clan had suffered her wailing for a long time. Now, it was almost worst. Weaselthroat had been silent the whole time. She had passed out, and when she awoke, two of her kits were dead. She had simply leaned against Ryestem, who was huddled beside her, and gently pressed a paw to each still kit. "Padkit," she murmured as she touched the frail gray she-cat. Then she gently rested her paw on the larger tom. "Moonkit." She looked up and said, "Please take care of them," then passed out again.
Iceberry felt incredibly guilty, but she had felt a sense of relief when her kits turned out okay - she knew her mother had a history of bad births, and she was worried it might pass onto her. When Weaselthroat awoke, she glanced away quickly, but the other she-cat looked at her. "What did you name them?" Her heart swelling as she looked at her little scraps, she purred as she repeated the name of each one. "This is Spiderkit - I named him. That's Dawnkit - Tumbleflight named her. And this is Smudgekit - Acornpounce actually suggested the name." Weaselthroat nodded slowly. "Ryestem, you should name one," she told her mate. She looked at the kit's, her eyes shimmering. By now the bodies of the dead kits had been taken to the medicine cat den - they were just waiting on Weaselthroat to bury them. "He looks like a Maplekit," she murmured. Weaselthroat nodded, gently licking the tom's head. "Iceberry, you should name this one," she said. "No, Weaselthroat, she's your kit," Iceberry insisted. Weaselthroat lowered her head to the ground, huffing slightly in pain. "I named two. I want you to name her." Just before she passed out again, she heard Iceberry name the kit Erminekit. She liked it.

A moon had passed, and the Clan was continuing on, slowly but surely. Weaselthroat had seemed different after the kitting, less excited and a bit slower, but otherwise she didn't seem to react much differently than she used to. Honestly, Minnowleap seemed to have changed more than her - he was worried he was going to miss his chance to have a family. His younger half-sister had had kits, his friend he'd known since they were apprentices had had kits, and he had never even been romantic towards another cat. As Silverwing assigned him to a border patrol, he banished the thoughts and joined the rest of the patrol.

The two cats silently traveled the land in search of food; Redclaw stopped abruptly, nose twitching. Suddenly, the deputy dropped into a hunter's crouch. Graystar decided to sit put, confident that he would succeed. A few moments later Redclaw appeared with a small creature dangling from his mouth.

bristleclaw watched as hawkeye seemed a bit nervous on their hunt. he knew that crowfall, his mate, was having their kits today. "relax, hawkeye." the deputy commanded, and hawkeye sighed with a nod of his head. "crowfall will be fine. make her proud and bring something back for her to eat. kitting is very tiring, and she will appreciate the meal." he added. "you're right. i'll do that." hawkeye smiled and preceded on the hunt with the rest of the clan. silvermoon and freckleheart were behind them, not really conversing.

cloudwatcher laughed as she watched her new apprentice and her sister's apprentice fight. oatpaw was larger and had more experience, but hoppaw was fast and dodging out of the way whenever he tried to tackle her. it was clear that the older apprentice was growing embarrassed and annoyed with this training session. "relax oatpaw. i believe in you." snowmouse's sweet voice reached the apprentice's ears and made him blush slightly and nod his head. the tom wanted to look good in front of his mentor and crush.
