i like it! the only thing that i find odd is if this name was changed due to his scars? it may be a little easier to show this if you add a dash, like torn-face (similar to one-eye). other than that, i do like the name! very nice characters <3

shadowleaf - 8/10
again, a mostly solid name! the shadow- throws me off slightly because of the clan, but if your story has a different setting than the main clans there should be no problem!!

cranestripe - 10/10
love this name! the prefix crane- is far and few between, very unique!

rushwhisker - 10/10
also a solid name! i really like her personality as well <3

Ex: Sometimes I'll use -Blaze or Wolf- but very rarely ones like Soft- or Sweet- I will not rate traditionally if the name is non-traditionalThis is a really nice purple!!

My Names

Mottlefoot, A white and brown patched molly with yellow eyes. She is able to stay calm in stressful situations, but frequently gets lost. She loves listening to stories with the kits, and hopes to have some of her own someday. She is faithful, and good at telling jokes. She has rogue ancestry. She is squeamish and dislikes kittypets, she is quite fast, and sometimes helps the kits with their tag games.

Laurelfoot , A white molly with green eyes. She is gullible and fast, and is considered pretty by her clan. She does what she thinks is right, and is good with kits. She makes enemies easily. She is good at telling stories and is unassuming. She has good hearing.

Ex: Torties are hardly ever male, and if they are, they usually have 'problems' that could interfere with clan life, same with calicos, ect.

hello everyone !! just a little notice as to the fact i am a semi-traditional namer when it comes to my
names, and my ratings will be given as such. i might use names with hollow-, soft-, or -wish, as i often
tend to go for lyrical factors in the way it fits the cat. quite a few of my names are made with the use
of alliteration, which i have recently found out by accident.

xxxmottlefoot » 8|10 » this is a nice name, and it fits her well. however, i tend to see mottle- as more of a tortoiseshell cat rather than a patched one, but that's just my own personal preference. she seems like a lovely molly though, and her personality is well-thought out.

xxxlaurelfoot » 6|10 » she seems like a wonderful character, but the name just seems a bit... off. it doesn't flow too well off the tongue, but i don't quite have any better suggestions for it. she reminds me a bit of moth flight from the dawn of the clans arc and I really like her, oops so that's a bonus.

xxxrosetail » 7.5|10 » i'm slightly off about this name since it was the name of a canon character, but it does seem to fit him well. you don't see rose- being used for toms very often, and it's something that i actually really like (must be my preferrance for more feminine sounding names, though).

xxxhollowholly » muscular, dark brown tabby maine coon molly with narrow green eyes, a darker chest, ears and stripes, a white tipped tail, paws and underbelly. she has a thick mane of fur around her neck and narrow facial features, and large, tufted ears. she's cold, intelligent and prefers to keep to herself, extremely concentrated and gets to the point very quickly, to the point it makes her seem blunt and arrogant. hollowholly has the tendency to get a bit snappy and has high walls, making it difficult to get close to her, but if you do, she keeps secrets with her life and is very hard to crack under pressure.

xxxlittlemoon » littlemoon is a small, lithe, yet slightly chubby turkish van tom with large, blue eyes and a pink nose. he has long, soft fur, and is a medicine cat who seems to be very close to starclan and good at his craft. he's friendly and welcoming, good at calming cats and staying calm under stressful conditions. he's a homosexual, and tends to stay away from mentioning love in any fear or being judged, fully closeted and doesn't intend on revealing anything due to his rank as a medicine cat. always the runt of the litter behind his two sisters, he took the path of a medicine cat to prove he's as good as he can get and no longer in the shadow of anyone above him.

xxxhazelheather » a pale brown tabby molly with two tufts of fur over her cheeks and narrow, blue-violet eyes, hazelheather is one who is known for being wise and one to come to when you have a problem- think minerva mcgonagall from the harry potter series. she's widely respected throughout her clan, well suited for her role as deputy. she has a knack for keeping kits under her wing, with stories galore when she's not busy with her duties, and has had a few of them tell her she's like the grandmother of the clan.

xxxfinchfire » finchfire is a lithe and muscular white tom with a ginger tail and ears and hazelly green eyes. he's loud and boisterous, boastful and flirty, and a tad bit narcissistic. he's quick to react and finds fighting one of his better strengths, two traits that aren't always the best in a combination of a character. he can be the teensiest bit stubborn or bossy, preferring to lead rather than to follow. he has ambitions to become deputy, a dream he's been chasing after since he was an apprentice, being the son of the former deputy before he was slain in battle.

i see what was trying to be achieved with the name, but it really doesn't fit in my opinion. starting with the prefix, hollow- doesn't lend itself to many describing traits. if you were thinking along the lines of trees due to her brown pelt, i suggest beech-, bramble-, briar-, or elm-! if you were trying to reflect her introverted personality, try to show that in the suffix! perhaps -storm for her potentially snappy personality or -fang to sound more intimidating? otherwise, i do like her personality!

a pretty nice name! the suffix throws me off though, -moon is typically not used in the wc world (or at least it shouldn't be) because of things like the moonpool and moonstone. maybe -leaf?

hazelheather - 5/10
this fell into the same problem as hollowholly, where the two parts of the name are confusing. i do like hazel- or heather- as a prefix! however, if she is respectable and wise in her clan, -heart would definitely work as a suffix!

finchfire - 8/10
not a bad name! i personally don't like the use of -fire, but it's not a bad choice.

It has really nice flow and sound and it's solid. The suffix "heart" really seems to fit the cat well, too. To me, it just feels ever so slightly bland or even somewhat overdone; I've seen many Warriors OCs with names that have a two-syllable prefix with the suffix -heart. It even reminds me of "Fireheart" a little. But that could just be me. XD


Sedgepelt: 9/10

I really love the way this one sounds. And even though it doesn't describe personality (instead describing his pelt), it seems to really fit with his personality somehow. Great choice on this one.

Hushfall: Light ginger tabby and white she-cat. Very shy and gentle. Mute.

Gannetbite: Dark brown tabby tom with a white underbelly and sharp blue eyes. Very serious, bossy and demanding, often tries to take control.

Shrikebounce: Small cream-coloured tom with darker stripes on his face, ears, and tail. Bubbly and excitable, very friendly and talkative.

Dacetansy: Smoky grey tabby tom with green eyes. Very positive and supportive, always has an optimistic outlook. Can also be rather lazy.

Valeriansong: Pale grey tabby and white she-cat with blue eyes. Rather full of herself; goes out of her way to act "prim and proper" and does not particularly like getting her paws dirty.

i understand what you were trying to go with the name, but it seems odd that a mother would name her kit after something presumably negative. the suffix -fall is pretty confusing to me, as it also seems like a negative thing? overall its a pretty confusing name.

gannetbite - 6.5/10
i really love the prefix!! although, the cat's description really doesn't match with the actual bird! the suffix -bite is also odd, i'm not really sure what that could represent. i would go with -claw or -fang if you were going for an intimidating name!

shrikebounce - 6.5/10
similar to gannetbite, i adore the prefix! shrikes are such interesting birds. however, like gannetbite, the cat doesn't reflect the bird at all. the suffix is also quite confusing. i recommend -cloud or -stripe, due to his stripes (and the shrike's stripes!)

dacetansy - 5/10
this name is really confusing to me.. the cat appearance matches for the most part, but the suffix is really strange? -tansy doesn't indicate anything about the cat. if they are an optimistic and happy cat, i suggest -cloud! otherwise, i would stick with -fur and -pelt as basic suffixes.

valeriansong - 6/10
again, valerian- is a very nice prefix! it doesn't match up as well with the cat, as valerian in europe can be red or white, but its not a bad combination. -song doesn't really make much sense for cats, as they don't really sing. i would suggest -face if she's a pretty cat.

cloverstep - a long legged white tom with green eyes. he is a moor-runner of windclan and adores kits.
squirrelclaw - a gray ticked tabby molly with thick fur and hazel eyes. she is a strong, wily senior warrior and has the deputy position in sight.

I'm not in love with the name, I think something with the double 'k' sound in the name makes it sound weird to me.

It threw me off that he was a tom at first, but I actually really like that!

I honestly love female cats with -claw suffixes! I used a cat called Ferretclaw for a long while and she was my favorite. Squirrelclaw kinda reminds me of that, and I really adore the name and description.

(I just kinda made these up on the fly a little while ago for fun, so be as harsh as you want XD I am not a traditional namer though, so keep that in mind, if you'd like).
Snowpoppy - a soft, long-haired white she-cat with dark amber eyes. She has a fiery personality around other Clans and adult cats and her temper can get away from her, especially during border disputes. She really loves teaching apprentices and kits and has a lot of patience for them, however.

Tigerflower - orange tabby she-cat with green eyes. She loves helping in the medicine den, as when she was an apprentice she got sick and spent a lot of time in there, and she just became an unofficial 'apprentice' of sorts for a while, though she abandoned the medicine track when she got better so she could be a warrior.

Echostorm - black and white patched tom, dark blue eyes. He is quiet and mysterious, and holds Clan laws to a very high standard. While he won't outwardly say anything most of the time, it is often said that it feels like Echostorm is judging you harshly when you do something wrong.

Fernwing is a light brown dappled she-cat with soft green eyes and long, fluffy fur. She is a recent queen, and very soft-spoken. She gets along well with the elders, and is very nurturing and enjoys taking care of kits.

Rabbitflight is a white tom with black splotches and bright yellow eyes; has half an ear missing from battle. He was recently appointed deputy, and still is getting used to the title. He holds the clan's respect for his battle prowess, but he also knows how to be diplomatic. He loves helping to train the apprentices.

Frostfire is a light gray tabby she-cat with amber eyes. She just recently received her warrior name, and is eager to prove herself; as an apprentice she was known for being especially mischievous. She has a quick temper, and scathing tongue to match, but she is also loyal (to a fault). She enjoys playful banter with her fellow clanmates.

Plumfeather is a black tomcat with blue eyes and a white-tipped tail. He was a loner, but joined his clan as a medicine cat apprentice. He is quiet, serious, and doesn't speak unless necessary, but he is exceptionally good at interpreting messages from Starclan.

i like the name! the -wing suffix always throws me off a bit, because cats don't necessarily have wings (but suffixes like -tail and -foot illustrate grace, if you were going for that!) also, if she is nurturing i would highly suggest -flower! that's just me though ;w;

this name is nice, but its a bit confusing to me. i find his ear situation really interesting, maybe he could have a changed name? (no-ear? shredded-ear?) alternatively, i really like his personality! maybe give him -fang or -claw, because of his battle prowess?

the combination of frost- and -fire is really confusing to me personally qwq i like her personality, but typically things like that wouldn't be suffix worthy! if she is incredibly loyal, i suggest -heart! if not, stick with -fur and -pelt!

beepelt - a young, golden-furred molly with faint stripes. beepelt is an amiable cat and can get along with anyone. she can be a bit clueless at times,
as its hard for her to pick up on social cues.
palecloud - a scruffy, pale gray tom with white markings. palenose is an older cat, who is also especially wise. this sensibility can be attributed to his rank as a medicine cat. palenose tends to take things at face value and has trouble taking care of himself, particularly now that he has aged.

heroncloud is a pretty pale gray and white she-cat with emerald green eyes. she is very mellow and a good listener, but she can be a bit of an airhead. she is a little bit vain, and spends a somewhat excessive time grooming her long fur.

smokefang is a grizzled, dark grey tabby tom with pale yellow eyes. over the years he has acquired numerous scars, badges he wears proudly as proof of his battle prowess. he tends to be very serious and stern, especially with rowdy apprentices.

appleheart is a pale ginger tom with golden eyes. despite his relatively young age, he has already earned the rank of deputy. he is very charismatic, but can be a bit haughty.

kestrelclaw is a fiesty calico she cat with yellow eyes. she is known for her battle prowess and her scathing tongue, but she has a soft spot for her mate.
