Stoneskipper was successful in teaching Bird how to respond to signals, and how to use that for herself. The silver tabby tom nodded engouragingly at the she-kit as Bird pointed to her mother enthusiastically and made gestures with her tail. Dew, Bird's mother, nodded, tears of joy in her blue eyes. Turning to the Tribe-Healer she meowed, "Oh, thank you!" The gray kit-mother then nudged her daughter back toward the nursery. Stoneskipper watched her go as he whispered, "May the Tribe of Endless Hunting be merciful on her." The silver tabby tom then padded back to his den.

(Now)
A few days ago, the Tribe-guards had found a wandering she-cat lurking about near the old Thunderpath. They had accepted her as a member of the Tribe of the Shrouded Mist, and she was declared a prey-hunter, and now carried the Tribe name Call of Soaring Raven, going by the nickname Raven. The gray-and-white she-cat dipped her head to Stoneskipper as the Tribe-Healer came from the direction of his den and the Pool of Shimmering Ripples, and meowed, "Morning, Stoneskipper!" The silver tabby tom mewed, "Morning!" Seeing Needle, Sun, and even the Tribe-guards Sapling, Dragonfly, and Shine at her side, Stoneskipper meowed solemnly, "May our ancestors watch over you today. Go with the blessing of the Tribe of Endless Hunting." Dipping their heads, the hunting and border patrol cats left, leaving Stoneskipper to check the nursery. Inside, the tom checked up on the three kits there, then nodded in greetings to Dew, theb came out. Meeting Twig taking Ebony to the training grounds near the camp, the silver tabby tom meowed, "You two will be guarding camp today?" The tabby-and-white Tribe-guard nodded as his to-be nodded proudly, "He's going to teach me how to defend all of our Tribe!" Chuckling softly, Stoneskipper mewed, "I'm off to hunt for some herbs. Please keep a watchful eye on the nursery for me." Twig nodded, "Count on us, Stoneskipper." Ebony added, a fierce light in his eyes, "I won't let anyone touch even a hair on Dew or her kits." Nodding, the somewhat-surprised Tribe-Healer headed out.

weather: it is green-leaf! it's very hot, and drought is a possibility as the season progresses. prey and herbs are flourishing, kittings will pass smoothly, greencough and whitecough are extremely uncommon. cats will be more abundant and willing to join the tribe. be wary, though - predators are also plentiful! overheating is also a possibility.

After scoping out the rouge group Talon informed them about, Shadow lead the group back to come up with an idea. They would need Talon, in hopes to convince the rest of his old group to join. The group looked as if they where starving and struggling to survive, it was amazing on how well Talon looked when they found him. Shadow let out a small sigh, his heart went out to those who struggled. He always wanted to help those in need ever since Blossomteller had taken him in many moons ago. The tom cat looked towards his left, his eyes resting on Owl. The two toms had grown close since the day Owl joined. Although unsure how the other tom truly felt Shadow was happy enough to know Owl was his friend.

The other tom glanced over, catching Shadow staring at him. Unsure why, Owl gave Shadow a polite smile. This simple action caused Shadow to quickly become embarrassed, quickening his pace to avoid an awkward conversation with the other tom. Owl chuckled a bit, amused by his friend's behavior. Yet a wave of electricity feeling washed over him and his heart seemed to flutter. What was going on? What was causing this thrilling feeling and fluttering sensation he felt. Owl watched Shadow pick up his pace, his heart fluttering once more.

Once back at camp Blossomteller happily greeted all the returning members. Once every one had returned from their hunting or patrolling the teller called for a tribe meeting. "I would like to inform you that many of our young kits are now of the age to be to-bes. I would like to appoint their mentors before we continue on." Smiling, Blossomteller quickly assigned the to-bes with their mentors, taking Acorn under her guidance. The two she-cats, Pebble and Fish became prey-hunters their mentors becoming Raven and Sun. Finally the brothers Wolf and Thunder became guards mentored by Dust and Talon.

After the to-bes where appointed mentors, Shadow quickly got around to explaining the situation with the rouges. "Looks like our new to-bes will learn how to track and how to handle situations like this. Let's head out!" he meowed, leading the group back out.

The patrol uses Talon to try and convince the rouge group to join them, by telling them how much safer they would be. Talon also explains how Blossomteller is a skilled healer who would make sure they remained healthy.
