Just a little fun for when you have time to kill

agree and disagree, i have opinions on this—i think part of the problem is that "pet bird" is treated as though it's synonymous with "parrot", and parrots are extremely high maintenance birds with very particular care requirements, while other birds like canaries, pigeons, and finches are far more manageable for the average prospective bird owner (though some people just aren't suited to having birds at all and that's fine). it's like if the most popular feline pets were tigers and lions.
too many "cozy games" are practically shovelware

I'm not entirely sure what cozy games are so no opinion.
AI art isn't bad and can be really convenient and useful for some people, it's people who are claiming AI art as their creation that gives AI art the bad name. I like playing around with AI art and using it to help bring my OCs to life. Especially since I'm really bad at drawing and have no interest in learning to draw.

couldn't disagree more , tbh i even find it a LOT worse to deal with than pain , fear , being overwhelmed or just about ANY other unpleasant experience out there .
I assume we're talking about actual, involuntarily being bored tho , and not just like... doing nothing, being tranquil and zoning out . I'd count that one under relaxation.
I highly prefer any sort of stylized or slightly abstract art over realism , due to finding most, especially photorealistic art -especially when animals or people are depicted, landscapes are a bit different-, uninteresting. I absolutely highly acknowledge the craftsmanship, skill and work behind it , but on a personal level it just does nothing for me .

Semi-agree, I do have a preference for stylised over realism, but for me it depends on what’s being depicted and the message behind the piece. A well-done realistic portrait with no special meaning behind it is one thing; like you I can appreciate the time, patience and skill that goes into it, but in most cases (unless it involves an unconventional medium/method) it won’t stick with me. The same portrait with a story behind it (perhaps it depicts the artist’s deceased loved one) will make me feel something more. And ‘The Unequal Marriage’ is a painting done in more of a realistic style that I’m not sure would have quite the same emotional impact on me if it were more stylised.
On the other hand, I started to feel more connected to my own art when I branched out beyond realism. It’s a more authentic expression of myself now and I feel more creative freedom + enjoyment when I paint. I think that’s what I like so much about stylised art; there are as many ways of doing things as there are artists, and I love seeing how that differs from person to person. I have a great love for folk art in particular, which most of the time is nowhere near realism.
TLDR: I also tend to have a preference for stylised art, but I think realistic styles can be just as effective at conveying a message or evoking a particular emotion. I think what it really comes down to is creativity and message, as well the person viewing it. Art is just a really personal thing.
The way people spoke and interacted on the internet in the early 2010s (think phrases like ‘all the yes’ ‘so many feels’ ’le’ etc) might have been cringe, but it was also more sincere, and I kinda miss the energy/vibes of the time. You will never catch me using ‘teh’ again, but part of me feels a little nostalgic for that period of the internet.

Agree, so much fun back then.
