I sat upon my log as usual. Normally Mudbomb would be there but he has been spending a lot of time with Daisykit and Shinegaze. I don't blame him of course. I heard paw steps in the distance. Butterflywing had padded over to me. "Rustleg sent me over since i was gonna come talk to you anyways." I flicked my tail to seat her and she plopped down next to me. I could tell she was tired, it was late after all. "So what I wanted to talk to you about was Clarkpaw is having his assessment tomorrow." I sat up straighter. Thank Starclan. My mind echoed. We are in need of more warriors. I shook my head to clear my thoughts. "Alright, thank you for notifying me. And what did Rustleg need?" I questioned. "Well, she wants to tell you that Duckglow is pregnant!" My eyes lit up, and I smiled. "Also we will have kits of an unknown amount coming here." I looked to the sky at the stars. "This is wonderful news you've brought me tonight Butterflywing, thank you. You are dismissed." I flicked my tail. She nodded, then padded back into the darkness.

|Mocha POV|

I had just finished making up the nests when Honeykit jumped in front of me and onto one, with his twin brother Cacaokit following swiftly after him. "You guys will have to calm down soon, it's almost time for bed." I chuckled. The twins sighed and I peered to see what Dewkit and Sugarkit were up to. They were play fighting like warriors. "I'm probably gonna be a medicine cat but..." Sugarkit sprang onto his sister and they tumbled around. "Yeah, while you are being a nerd in the medicine den, I'm gonna be the best warrior Marshclan has ever seen!" She chided "Don't call me a nerd, mouse-brain!" Sugarkit kicked Dewkit in the face with one of his hind legs. "Calm down you two." I whispered. "Now come to bed, it's late."

I woke to the sun bleeding through the small holes in the ivy roof. I rose to my paws stretching with a yawn then peered over to Waspshine and Echosnarl sleeping peacefully and smiled. Can't believe I tolerated these idiots. I chuckled and padded out of the warriors den to be greeted by Leopardstorm. "Good morning Appletea." The large she-cat yawned. "Greetings Leopardstorm." I dipped my head to the older warrior. "You, Waspshine and Echosnarl have been chosen to come on patrol with Rainface, Tigerblaze and I, so please get ready!" She smiled, then padded away. "Alright!" I called after her, then turned back into the den. I nudged Waspshine. "Wake up Waspshine." Waspshine jolted up. "I'm awake!" She shook her head and yawned. "We are joining Leopardstorm's patrol today." I smiled then padded over to Echosnarl. I examined her for a moment. I could never tell whether she was sleeping, or trying to. I gave her a little nudge with my nose and her paw pushed my face away. "I'm already awake." She sighed, and stretched to her paws. "Then I assume you heard me, let's go."

Mod Notes
I'm glad to be here too! I've been thinking about joining for a long time, but I was always unsure how to start. I think the test, since it's listed as a training session, will work like one.

\\ Hoot grinned as he carried the 2 mice out of their den. The catch could supply him for a bit, but he decided not to eat it. Yet. With his tail and his spirits high, he returned to the set. Dropping his prey inside and digging a hole to mask their scent so no predators would come (Though, the stench of the fox, although fainter, still masked the prey-scent). Looking around, he noticed where he was staying had a couple of possible dens that he didn't notice before. There were also a few hollowed out caves, and a hole under the bush near his set. Looking down, the small marks of old pawprints layered the ground. That's... Strange? Cats must have been here before. A lot of them, too. Shaking his head, Hoot padded out and continued to search around the area.
With the leader on his guard, that hole in front of him calling out nearly made him topple over. Sticking his head over, he spotted a scared, young tom, calling for help. They locked eyes, and the leader nodded, grabbing his fluffed-up scruff and lifting him out. "Did you fall into a hole?" He asked, joking. The tom rolled his eyes and introduced himself as Pine, offering to come along and help Hoot. Agreeing, he took him along before they came along to a pool barely the size of Pine's paw. A drop of water flowed down after a few moments, and then another... And another... Realizing they were thirsty, Pine and Hoot took a lap at one of the drops.
And then, the whispers filled their ears. It felt cold but peaceful here, and the voices of cats caused them to look up at the ghostly, star-filled pelts of many cats, from kits to elders, short-hair to long-haired, molly and tom, with multiple levels of faded pelts. Too stunned to speak, they stepped back as a rather faded cat landed in front of them. "Greetings, my young leader and warrior," The molly spoke, dipping her head. "I am Runningstar, and welcome to what is left of the Speakingpond. It used to be but the size of a whisker, but then we saw you, my young leader, it filled up to the size of your paw, and we had hope. Welcome to the ghost glade. We are the former members of Runningclan, and I am Runningstar. We have been killed by a ruthless predator, who has been long-gone, thankfully. But you are to be the new leader. Hootstar, please step forward, and place your paw on the Speakingpond." Not knowing what else to do, Hoot... Star? Placed his paw on the pool, and a sudden burst of cold and power rose through his body. Stepping back, weakened, he turned to Runningstar with questions in his gaze. "You will now be known as Hootstar, and you, my young Pine, as Pinefang. The tradition will come to you in time, for your memory is our memory. Before we go, we wish for you to ask for a cat." Hootstar looked at Pinefang, and nervously asked. "Erm- perhaps a healer? In case we find an injured cat?" Runningstar nodded, "I will see about a medicine cat." And the cats faded until not a tuft could be seen. //

“I’m so worried, Droserathorn.” He whimpered “I don’t want to lose so many cats. I’ve heard stories about a clan who lost over forty cats in a battle. I can’t have that happen.”
“It wont.” The shaman assured “It’ll all work out, I promise. Gladewhisper and Rowanrose have worked through every kink, yea?”
“But how can we trust them?” The leader hissed softly “Snakewhisper fooled us so easily. What’s stopping the other cats from doing the same?”
“We just have to believe them.” The shaman sighed “Gladewhisper is different from them, she’s Riversnap’s niece; I refuse to believe she has a single trace of deceit in her.” Weaselstar dipped his head.
“Fine.” He murmured “I trust you more than anyone, Droserathorn. If you think this is a good idea, we’ll go along with it.”
“I do.”
“Alright, then. Let’s get the groups together and fill them in on it.”

Vixenhop lazily opened an eye. She smiled warmly as she snuggled up against Birchsway’s flank. The wind had died down for a moment, and the warm Louisiana sun showered the pair in heat. Her russet-colored fur held the warmth well, and she curled her belly towards the sun. Birchsway rolled over and pressed his nose against the base of her ear. He murmured sweet nothings, and gave her cheek a little lick. The two hadn’t seen each other in a long time, but they didn’t speak. They just relished in the presence of their beloved partner. Their tails were intertwined and the purrs shook the ground beneath them.

Cypresstail heaved the two small kittens over a fallen log.
“Opalkit, tuck your paws.” He grunted, swinging his daughter over a hefty branch. The tom kit tried to heave himself over, but needed assistance from his father. Suddenly, the bushes thinned and the trio stepped out into the flatland that house the RavenClan camp. In front of them, two cats stood in anticipation. The older kits scurried over the dried marsh to greet Cypresstail and his two new bundles.
“Hi!” Breezekit gasped, hind end wiggling with excitement.
“I’m Gustkit!” her brother squeaked.
“We’re your siblings!” Breezekit added “And technically your cousins, too. That just means we’ll be double close!” Cypresstail bent down and plopped Opalkit next to Spinelkit.
“Are you Mistgale’s kits?” Spinelkit asked cooly, not portraying any sort of emotion. Cypresstail hummed and shuffled sideways to take the head of the group. Opalkit opened her jaws to ask a question, but her father raised her tail.
“Wait until we get you settled into the nursery.” He meowed softly, exhaustion clouding his gaze “Then you four can get to know each other.” Spinelkit nodded and fell into step with Gustkit. Breezekit waited for Opalkit to catch up, and the family trotted back to the camp.

Picklepatch felt numbness seep into her bones. Yarrowbelly was trying to say something to her, but she didn’t know what it was. Ever since Skinknose had broken the news about Scinquepaw, all of the older kits had been quiet. Even Oriolescreech, who had been aptly named for his loud demeanor, was sulking around the clearing, not paying attention to anyone. Chardonpaw and Museaunuzzle were a bit sullen, but they were more concerned for their oldest siblings. They had never met Scinquepaw or Tritonpaw. To be fair, Picklepatch and her littermates rarely saw them, but the loss still shook the trio to their core. Yarrowbelly was a strong shoulder to lean on. She and him had always been close, and Turtletoes insisted that the tom had a crush on her, but it was just now that the two finally felt connected without a doubt. Their breathing was often synched, and in sleep they would sometimes roll over and brush each other’s flanks. It was moments like these that kept Picklepatch grounded. She wanted desperately to tell Yarrowbelly how she felt about him, but the news of her sister’s death had zapped out all her energy, and she could barely utter a few syllables. The time would come, though. It might not be this moon or the next, but the time would come where she asked him if his rumored feelings were true. But for now, the grieving cat would sit next to him and appreciate his never leaving.
