you cut through the park, rushing
as fast as you can to find your trainer.

as you head through the park though,
some people catch your attention.

a crying girl sits alone on a bench.
one trainer is walking around, looking for a battle. a mom
and her son look frantically for something
in the tall grass.

do you continue on? or talk to someone at the park?

As I trample through the park, I start to get tired. Charmander were faster than Ditto, but neither of them were exactly built to run.

Certain people catch my attention: a crying girl on a bench, a mother and son looking frantically for something. A trainer looks around for someone to battle.

I crane my head towards the trainer, hoping to get a glimpse of the pokemon they carry. If I'm lucky enough to beat one in a battle, I might be able to run faster than this. At the rate my legs were carrying me, I wouldn't get there on time, anyway.

I run up to the trainer and flare my tail at them to signal that I want to battle. "Hey, you! Let's fight!" They probably just hear a pathetic roar.

Do you continue on? Or talk to someone at the park? Star flares her tail, challenging the trainer to a battle!

(I'm going to assume that Ditto can't speak to humans?)

The trainer grabs a pokeball and a striped horse appears. I flare my tail once more in excitement. A Blitzle! It's slightly blue where it should be black.

The horse whips its tail and I feel my defense lower a bit. I growl. It wouldn't matter if I never got hit, though.

Backing up a bit, I took a sharp breath, then breathed out a small ball of fire at the oddly colored Blitzle.

What do you do? Star uses Ember!

The fireball hits the Blitzle and it frowns, then shakes it's head and charges at me. I yelp, trying to get away, but the attack is too quick. I stumble upon impact, then twist my head around, letting another burst of fire stream from my mouth.

What do you do? Star uses Ember again!
