"Apollo?" Artemis swept back her curling hair, removing a daisy entwined among her hair. Her soft green eyes narrowed. He was definitely here, she could always hear his blundering as he stepped on yet another twig. "I know you are here. You stepped on every twig from the mountains to here." she had followed him by looking at the patches of flowers trampled, her heart aching with every budding flower seen lost to his clumsy feet."Here!" he shouted from somewhere in the trees, causing Artemis to give an amused smile. The branches rustled above her and a dark shape swooped down from the trees. "What are you doing?" she asked. It was definitely Apollo, yet he landed with different grace from when he had as a five year old trampling everything from flowers to small dogs ("Eee! Doggy!" he had cried). "Tree climbing stuff." he grinned. "Why?" he asked his cousin. "I was hoping you weren't trying to hunt a squirrel again. That's the sort of things cats do!" she scorned. "I dunno. Just was fun up there, spying on you." Artemis hissed at him. "Kitty want a fish?" he teased. "Just be quiet, you idiot."

"RRRRR!" Ebony growled, flapping her wings in alarm as the bushes rustled. Two blonde intruders entered as if they owned the place. Carlos looked up from petting his griffin, retreating to his cold self. Ebony rubbed her beak on his shoulder, letting out a soft chirping noise like a bird. "Excuse me." a cold voice muttered. He looked up again, seeing a faerie standing with her gaze serious and a scowl plastered on her face. "Sorry about her, she's grumpy 'cause I'm cooler then her. Who are you?" a tall nymph stepped out from behind her, a stupid smile on his face. "You are trespassing." Carlos muttered, his tone matching that of the fae. "What's this lake place about then?" the faerie asked, ignoring his remark. "some kind of griffin area? I'd love a griffin." her gaze grew misty as she thought of griffins and dragons and other mythical beasts. "I brought this griffin here." Carlos added. "Haven't seen anything 'part from Jackalopes for beginners and water creatures." The nymph next to the faerie grinned. "Sounds like Artemis needs a Jackalope then!"Artemis, as the nymph had called her, swung her elbow back to hit him. "Do belong to some kind of coven? I see stables." she stated the obvious, jutting her finger towards the stable nearby and the silhouettes of huts. "Yeah. Cedric's hunting somewhere, he's be back soon." Artemis nodded. "Well, I'm Atemis, as you heard from my annoying cousin Apollo. Nice to meet you." the faerie grinned, shaking his hand.

Tobias looked around at the other three members of his coven. He had been extremely surprised that not only had his summoning spell worked, but that two more people had voluntarily joined. Elena, the faerie, was the size of a young child with wings yet her build was that of a young woman. She was proficient with healing magic, and used herbs for her various potions. James and Caroline were werewolves, shapeshifters who could turn to wolves, and mates. Tobias had wondered more than once if they were going to have kids. Little werepups, he thought with amusement.

"Alright," Tobias said, somehow managing to keep the tremors out of his voice. "Since there's only four of us, we're gonna have to leave the camp alone for the moment."

"I could always keep watch," murmured Fritz.

Tobias ignored the salamander, whom no one else could hear, on his shoulder and continued talking. "Elena, see if you can find some herbs. Whatever you think is useful. James, Caroline, hunt. Gather. Whatever. As long as it's food that we can eat, I'm fine with it."

"What will you be doing?" asked Caroline softly.

"Patrolling. Looking to see if anyone wants to join us. Investigating those reports of gryphons."

"Gryphons?" asked James with interest.

Tobias nodded. "I heard that a flight of gryphons lives somewhere nearby. Not entirely sure where, though."

"That's pretty cool," said James thoughtfully.

"Yeah. Anyways, everyone know what they're doing?" Tobias received nods from his gathered coven-members. "Alrighty. See you later."

"A coven?" Anya asked excitedly, her plaits swinging and littering the floor with daisies. "Yes, Anya, a coven. You know the place with the lotuses?" Cynthia asked, her eyes lighting up with the reflection of the moon. Named after the moon, Cynthia preferred the creatures of the night and plants that grew in the darkness, unlike the young fae she had found making daisy chains. Suddenly as Anya opened her mouth to speak instead she paused, a rare thing for her to do. "I hear something!" she mumbled. Then an elk swooped past them, causing the young fae to nearly topple off her feet. With a stumble Anya righted herself, clearly surprised but nevertheless amused. "After it!" Cynthia muttered, before stopping herself. "Are you okay?" Anya nodded, a ripple of surprise still on her face but a smile widening. "I'm fine! It was amazing!" Cynthia gave her a smile in return, causing Anya to broaden her smile with pleasure. "You can go chase it if you want." her smile wobbled but Cynthia was already off, her speed at it's zenith in the light of the moon. "But what's hidden in the bushes?" she asked herself; her question was answered as some random adults ran through, some panting, as they tried to capture the elk. "It's creepy out here." with a slight tone of panic she entered through the forest, and a bobbing lotus caught her attention as she walked further. The lake!
