Moonpool//Blizzard//Lucky's Rose pt. 2
Nuggetpaw woke up feeling weak. He slowly got up from his nest and peered out the apprentices' den. Thank StarClan that it was still night, otherwise he'd have his alliances hound him for not even bothering to show up tonight. He looked over at Daisypaw, who was snoozing soundly in her den without a worry in her mind. I better not wake her. She needs all the rest she can get. Nuggetpaw thought as he silently slipped out of his den. For an entire moon, he's tried his best to keep away from his allies at night. He felt someday some cat would spot him and would realize what was going on. He didn't want anyone ruining his plans, especially after he's so carefully thought them through. One slip-up would ruin everything for him. As he padded towards the Clan entrance, he thought he heard some sort of noise, like a grumble or a cat waking up. Freezing, he turned his head towards the rock that kept most of the Clan's population inside it. The grumbling continued, interrupting the nighttime silence of camp. The ginger tom fought the urge to charge out of camp or back into the apprentices' den, where he knew he'd be safe but also knew he was likely to cause a lot of noise. He froze until the sound died down. Letting out a sigh of relief, he resumed out of camp and towards the spot where he knew two other cats were impatiently waiting for him.
As he marched out of camp, he soon realized that the snow was rather thin tonight. He expected to march out and immediately be consumed by it, but instead, it was thin. He could imagine feeling grass underneath it. Looking up at the sky, he noticed a bunch of dark clouds filling it. I'm sensing a snowstorm... The ginger tom concluded, then broke himself away from his thoughts and rushed over to the other two felines.
"Well, look who's decided to show up." The she-cat hissed as soon as Nuggetpaw came into her view. He struggled up the snowy rock until he finally got to eye level with the feline.
"I heard someone turning around in their den in camp." Nuggetpaw explained.
The she-cat sniffed. "Excuses!" She exclaimed, angrily. "But I suppose I'll let it go for now. Tell us, Nugget. Who do we need to rid of first?"
"In the Clan?"
"Yes, in the Clan, you incompetent fool." The tom with an accent growled.
"'Incompetent fool'? Do I need to remind you that I'm the one getting you two information?" Nuggetpaw snapped at the tom. "Speak to me like you've got some kind of sense, would ya?"
"Fine. Tell us who, in the Clan, that we should take care of first." The tom repeated.
"There you go. Now that wasn't too hard, was it?" Nuggetpaw asked, purposely trying to annoy the two freezing cats. Though he succeeded, they wouldn't give him the satisfaction of hearing them verbally express it. "The first cat you're going to want to take care of is Lambstar. She's the leader of the Clan and is a white, skinny she-cat. Actually, skinny's not the word. More like scrawny. You'll know her when you see her."
"Does that mean you expect us to kill her ourselves?" The she-cat asked.
Nuggetpaw thrummed a yes. "If I help out, my scent will be found on her corpse and that could ruin our plan. Besides, she's not much of a challenge. She's super skinny which means super weak." The two other cats shared a glance with one another, then the tom turned back to face Nuggetpaw.
"I suppose I alone should handle the killing, if she's rather easy to take on." He said. "After her, who's next?"
"The deputy, Flurrytuft. He's a gray tabby tom; the only one in our Clan."
"Uh-huh..." The she-cat rumbled, interested. "What are his weaknesses? If it's attractive she-cats then I can handle him myself."
"Uh... I think he's got a thing for Lambstar and she's.... Not necessarily a looker." Nuggetpaw explained, trying to be as kind and respectable as possible. "And Lambstar is his weakness. Once she dies, he'll go into mourning then you can take him out."
"Very nice to know, but where will we find them?" The tom questioned.
"Um..." Nuggetpaw looked up at the sky. He noticed something when he was in LambClan; every time Lambstar needed to go to Moonpool, the moon would glow dimly and would look like there were ash on it or around it, then a couple of days- sometimes even moons after, it'd go back to gleaming brightly. Tonight, it looked like there was an unknown gray smoke around it. "Tomorrow, Lambstar should be heading to Moonpool to ask for another cat. I recommend you kill her in her sleep-"
"Slow down! Slow down!" The tom interrupted. "Moonpool? What the hell is that?"
"Oh, it's a place Lambstar goes to receive more warriors for her Clan. She sleeps and has a dream about how she can find this cat."
The she-cat was the first to speak, "Hmm. Interesting, but where is this Moonpool, exactly?"
"Follow me, I'll show you. I recommend both of you coming so one can alert the other if Lambstar shows up early." Nuggetpaw said, then turned around to carefully climb down the rock and show the two cats to where Moonpool was located. As he leapt off the rock, he noticed that the snow underneath him felt weird and attenuated. He felt something spiky and cold underneath his paw pads, like fur. That's very odd. He thought, but instantly dismissed it. He considered it to be grass and only grass. He left to show the cats to Moonpool before the sun began to even think of rising, and
as soon as he was far enough to not hear her, Fadedsong shot her head out the snow and gasped for air. "Great StarClan, that was intense!" She exclaimed, breathing heavily. She was sure that when Nuggetpaw stepped on her he'd realize that there was an extra cat listening in on his little discussion. Luckily for her, he wasn't all that focused on the little details, and instead continued to escort the cats over to Moonpool. She let out a triumphant giggle as she climbed out of the snow, covering her hole over to make it seem like nothing strange was going on. She was glad Nuggetpaw was too mouse-brained to realize Lambstar had more lives than one, otherwise the Clan would be in grave danger. She wanted to see the look on Nuggetpaw's face when Lambstar charged back into camp with Flurrytuft by her side, telling her Clan how she had been killed by a rogue. Fadedsong purred and giggled until a thought came across her, emptying her spirit. She just came into realization that she could've seized the opportunity to catch a glance of the other two cats when Nuggetpaw left to show them to Moonpool. If she wasn't feeling so boastful at the moment rather than thankful, she probably would've thought of that at first. "Mouse-dung!"

"Nixxie... Nixxie, get up! It's time for you to lead your patrol!" Frostedrose softly whispered in the tortoiseshell's ear two mornings after Nuggetpaw met up with those cats. Onyxlight slowly opened his eyes. All the other cats in the den were still asleep and the sky looked rather dark, from what he could see.
"Frostedrose, what are you talking about...?" He asked as he got up.
"When I woke up, I looked out the den and noticed there was a blizzard going on! Nixxie, remember that dream you had oh-so long ago? There was a blizzard then we found a cat!"
"You're right! Should we wake Lambstar or Flurrytuft up?" Onyxlight asked, becoming more alert and awake.
"I say no. Let them get their sleep; us warriors can handle this on our own!" The red-eared she-cat answered.
"Right, right. I'll get Mistyleaf up."
"And I'll wake Sablewhisper." Frostedrose said, leaping over Mistyleaf's sleeping figure to reach the black tom. The two multi-colored cats woke every warrior within the den and did their best to ready them to head out into a blizzard.
"... Is it even morning? I look out this den and only see a dark blue." Luckyfur groaned, sticking his head out the den's entrance.
"Yes, it is. I know the shades of the sky and that is definitely a morning sky." Frostedrose told the long-furred tom.
"So I guess we should get going then?" Mistyleaf asked in a yawn.
Responding in a yawn, Onyxlight said, "Yeah... Hopefully the storm isn't too harsh. I'm sure it woke the cat we're looking for up."
"Okay, who's leading?" Luckyfur asked.
"Who else would be?" Onyxlight sniffed in response, pushing past him and exiting the den. The other warriors followed the transgender tom out of the den then soon out of camp. Once they exited the safety of their home, they were hit with a strong gust of wind. Cats like Sablewhisper shivered while the felines with longer pelts such as Luckyfur and Onyxlight only struggled to keep their ground.
"Onyxlight! I forgot to ask, but where are we heading to?" Mistyleaf shouted against the wind and snow.
"Where we're headed? Over to the plains territory, I believe." He called back, trudging through the thickening snow. The cats went on, travelling until the snow reached up to their shoulders. Every once in awhile, the cats of the patrol would have to dig their way up to safety or jump to higher ground to ensure they wouldn't be drowned by all the snow around them. The five travelled for what seemed like ages until Sablewhisper coughed and Luckyfur stopped them from continuing.
"I think we should wait somewhere." Luckyfur told Onyxlight, rushing over to him from the back of the patrol. "I say we find some cave to hide in then we can continue in a little bit."
"Hide in a cave? Luckyfur, what cave do you see around here? We're in the plains territory, remember?" The long-furred tortoiseshell hissed back, staying focused on continuing forward in the blizzard.
"Well, no, but we should at least try to find something." Luckyfur insisted. "Or maybe even dig out a cave of our own?"
Onyxlight stopped in his tracks and glared at Luckyfur. "Do you even listen to yourself? 'dig out a cave'? Now how do you think we're gonna do that?"
"S-sorry to barge in but my whiskers are fr-freezing off. E-either we keep going or we find somewhere warm to stay." Sablewhisper spoke before Luckyfur could respond. The two long-furred cats looked a each other, eyes glowing with a growing mutual disliking for one another.
"Well, I say we rest somewhere. With us being exposed to the cold like this, we could get sick."
"I disagree. It's best if we keep going. The sooner we find this cat the sooner we can find this cat the sooner we can return back to camp." Onyxlight sniffed, beginning to pad forward before anyone could say anything else.
"Yeah, and the sooner we can catch an illness." Luckyfur grumbled under his breath, but followed along with the group anyways. They travelled on some more until a gray shape was visible in the distance. It looked like another cat. Sablewhisper sneezed as Onyxlight and his patrol moved onward toward the shape until it turned from a blob into a cat.
"Cats! Other cats! What are you doin' out in a snowstorm?" The feline questioned. It was a slim gray tabby tom with a white muzzle and underbelly.
"Finally, we found you!" Onyxlight exclaimed. "I'm too cold to talk; let's get some place warmer."
"Like where?"
"Just follow us!"
* * * * * * *
"Onyxlight!" Fadedsong exclaimed upon seeing Onyxlight and his patrol burst into camp. By the time they returned, the snowstorm worsened, pelting LambClan's landscape with a thick, white sheet of snow. "Come on, we're all hiding in the warriors' den!" The skinny calico she-cat called over to the patrol, rushing back over to the den.
Once inside, Onyxlight noticed that the entire Clan was inside the den. "What's going on?" He asked, using his paw to swat some snow from behind his ear.
"Nothing important; we're just so cold tha-"
"We thought it'd be best to all be in one den so we can warm up." Fadedsong said, interrupting Lambstar.
"Yeah! My whiskers were freezing off and-" Cauliflowerkit began until she noticed the new tom entering the den after Luckyfur. "Who's that?"
"Oh, that's right. We never really got your name, new cat. What is it?" Frostedrose asked, turning to the tom.
"Ah, me? My name is Comet!" The gray tabby tom that Onyxlight found proudly announced.
"Comet? Like the reindeer?" Flurrytuft questioned after a moment.
"Yup!"
"Huh, that's something... Did you used to live at a barn?" Flurrytuft asked.
"Yes, but I was moved shortly after I was able to eat solid food. Why, do you think you know me?" Comet asked.
"Yeah... I was thinking the same thing as you, Flurrytuft. Do you have a brother named Donnor?" Lambstar asked. Comet nodded.
"If I weren't so cold I'd pounce on you! Welcome to LambClan, Comet! D'you remember me?" Flurrytuft announced gleefully.
"You must be one of my brothers then!" The gray tabby with a white underbelly purred. "I'm guessing you're Donnor?"
"You bet! You moved with Vixen, didn't you?"
"I wish. I moved to some two-leg den by myself, and let me tell ya, they were awful! They acted like I was some type of canine rather than a cat!"
"Well, that's untrained two-legs for you."
"Yeah, but even untrained two-legs know the difference between the species! Comet exclaimed. "I believe they were trained, just incorrectly."
"Well what'd they do?" Flurrytuft asked, causing Comet to laugh.
"Everything." The deputy's brother said, then began his tale. As the two brothers conversed, Cauliflower, Carrotkit, and Galakit chased each other around the den meanwhile Coverkit sat stiffly beside Raggedfang. Murkyeyes listened in on the conversation of terrible two-legs, waiting for his chance to bud in with a story of his own. Nuggetpaw sat next to Daisypaw, looking down at his paws to make it seem as if he weren't evesdropping on the two gray toms chatting. Fadedsong moved to sit beside Frostedrose, who was on the other end of the den from Nuggetpaw and Daisypaw. Sablewhisper went over to his nest and laid back down to get himself some more rest; Luckyfur did the same, but didn't actually get a chance to sleep with the three kits running and playing around.
Onyxlight settled down beside Frostedrose while Lambstar kept to where she was, sitting beside Flurrytuft. Comet went on to tell a story about how the two-legs would throw big, round, blue spheres past him, then would bend over patting their hind legs with their forepaws, speaking gibberish to him in unusual high pitched or slurred voices.
"To this day I don't understand what they wanted me to do," Comet said, finally finishing his story. By the end of it, he got the whole Clan (besides Sablewhisper) involved on the tale. They knew that two-legs could be strange, but not that strange. "Y'know, I think the cats back from where I was must've thought I left because they were so terrible to me, but that's not even close to the truth. They were very loving, really, but just too confusing for me to bare."
"I'm even confused and I've never met a two-leg before in my life!" Fadedsong said.
"Hah! Say, what is this thing with all you cats? A pack?" Comet asked.
"A Clan."
"A Clan?"
"Yeah! A Clan I made all by myself. Well, with the help of GustClan, anyways. I called it LambClan and I'm Lambstar."
"Oh. Interesting."
"That reminds me, do you want to join this Clan? If so, you need to change your name." Flurrytuft told his brother.
"Sure, why not? Change it to what?" Comet asked.
"Well, in a Clan, they have a naming system. It's something you find in nature then another thing you find in nature for a warrior." Onyxlight explained.
"What?"
"Well, let's use my name for an example. It's "flurry" then "tuft". And a tuft's like a bunch of grass or fur." Flurrytuft said.
"Ah, interesting again. What's a flurry?"
"I dunno."
"A flurry is some wind going around in a circle, especially with something in it like leaves." Lambstar told them, then turned to Flurrytuft and said, "I just chose it for you in honor of GustClan, actually. I had the name planned out for a while."
"Wait, a flurry is a bunch of wind?" Cauliflowerkit squeaked in surprise with her paw on Carrotkit's head from their playing. "Oh! Are we going to name Comet based off of wind too?"
"Based off of wind too? Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me." Frostedrose commented, "But it's up to Lambstar to name him."
"Well, not necessary. Comet, do you think you'd like to name yourself?" Lambstar asked, turning to the tom.
"Huh? Uh, well... You can name me whatever you believe is most appropriate." Comet responded politely.
"Perfect."
"A-actually, we should let Comet decide on what name he'd prefer out of all of our suggestions." Onyxlight said quickly upon hearing Flurrytuft. "I can start first if you'd like, then we can go around and end at Frostedrose." The transgender tom said, using his paw and moving it around in a circular motion to show the order.
Lambstar looked over to the she-cat Onyxlight mentioned. She nodded, indicating that she was fine with giving the last suggestion. "Alright, we'll go by Onyx's plan. I say we give out both parts of the name- the prefix and suffix." Lambstar announced to the cats in the warriors' den, then aimed her gaze back over to the smoky tortoiseshell. "Your suggestion?"
"Please tell me that I didn't forget...." Onyxlight muttered to himself after a moment, then struck back with, "Oh yeah! How about Squallcall?" Comet looked at Onyxlight, ears perked, but said nothing. Next was Cauliflowerkit, who moved over to sit beside Onyxlight upon hearing the news that they'd go in order.
"Me? Oh uh... How about Windytuft?" The gray-ish she-kit suggested.
"What about Gustwhisker?" Carrotkit suggested, rushing over to sit beside Cauliflowerkit.
Galakit prodded the floor of the den, looking over at her siblings. She then looked over to Lambstar and said, "Windedfur?"
Next up was Luckyfur, who was resting their head on the edge of their nest. "I really don't know... Steadyeddy?"
"Hah! Not bad!" Flurrytuft purred, with a look of pride in his eyes.
"Steady Eddy...?"
"An eddy is when water goes around in a circular motion." Luckyfur lazily explained.
"Huh. You learn something new everyday. Sablewhisper?"
"He's asleep. Your turn, Misty."
"Uh... Roaringwind?" Mistyleaf suggested, gaining a nod from Lambstar, who then motioned for Nuggetpaw to speak.
"Clusterpuff." He said, then looked down to Daisypaw.
"W-well... My name's not as good as the others but Windywisp?"
"I like it!" Fadedsong kindly told the white apprentice. "Murkye-"
"I know. I know." The elderly tom snapped. "Breezyday; if that fits along with the naming system."
"Anything fits along with the naming system as long as I'm in the Clan." Flurrytuft purred. "My suggestion is Galetail."
"I may need some of you to repeat your names again, since I've already forgotten most of 'em..." Comet told the cats.
"Well, you don't need to recall them all, just the ones you like best," Lambstar said. "My suggestion is Blizzardcrest."
"Blizzardcrest? Huh, doesn't sound all that bad." Comet commented.
"You like it?"
"Sure! Do I have to listen to the other suggestions or..?"
"Please say no. I don't know any other words for wind." Fadedsong begged Lambstar, who rolled her eyes playfully.
"Anyone have a suggestion they'd like to say?" Lambstar said. Considering that the only cats left were Coverkit, Raggedfang, Fadedsong, and Frostedrose, Lambstar wasn't surprised to see that no one else wanted to say anything.
"Well! From here on out, Comet, you'll be known as Blizzard-"
"Hold on, this is my name forever? Like, I'm getting it changed from Comet to Blizzardcrest?" Comet asked.
"Yeah. Do you not want it to be changed?"
"Well, I don't really mind, it's just... I'd prefer it if Donnor called me Comet. For sibling sake." Flurrytuft looked at his brother then Lambstar after Comet said that.
"Fine by me, but I and the rest of the Clan will call you Blizzardcrest. Is that fine with you?" Lambstar asked.
"Honestly, I wouldn't even care if my name was Dogfood." Blizzardcrest said with a shrug.
"Oh, don't give Flurrytuft any ideas!" Lambstar hissed in alarm.
"Haha! Wasn't even thinking about that until now." Flurrytuft purred. "But don't worry, I won't name any cat that. Maybe."
Lambstar let out a sigh then said, "Well, from here on out Comet will be known as Blizzardcrest!"

"Luckyfur, what's that?" Sablewhisper asked his long haired friend one frosty afternoon. It was around a week or so after they had met up with Blizzardcrest. Sablewhisper caught a cold and wasn't allowed outside of camp until the weather got better (Luckyfur suggested it to be when the weather got better whilst Fadedsong only said until he got better). The snow has gotten thicker since the snow storm and the warriors and apprentices of LambClan have been working hard to keep the snow from piling up too much in camp. Only two or three cats were allowed out of camp at a time and earlier Luckyfur and Mistyleaf went out to patrol.
Mistyleaf returned and headed over to Lambstar to give off the report of the thick snow while Luckyfur padded towards Sablewhisper with a white flower in his jaws. Luckyfur spit out the plant and asked, "What's what? This?"
"Yeah, what is it? A rose?"
"Yup! Found it over near the two-leg barn. I'm going to give it to Frostedrose when she returns from her patrol." Luckyfur mewed, eyeing the white plant gleefully.
"So you're really following Flurrytuft's advice, huh?" Sablewhisper asked, enjoying the tom's joy.
"Yeah... I'm going to try to give this to her anyways." Luckyfur muttered, prodding the snow around the plant.
"You nervous?"
"Yeah... A bit, but I'll get over it soon."
"Alright. You've got some time, but when she gets back-" Sablewhisper was cut off by a few coughs of his. They weren't as violent as they used to be, gladly.
"Wait, what? She's not here?" Sablewhisper shook his head in response to Luckyfur's inquiry.
"She went out for a walk with Onyxlight. They should be returning soon, though." The black tom told him after letting out one last cough. "My bad for eavesdropping, but Onyxlight did only say that he was going to show her something."
"Show her something? That doesn't sound too good."
"That's what I thought, but who knows what'll happen? They are only friends after all." Sablewhiper stated, then looked past Luckyfur to the Clan entrance. Two bodies entered camp, one slimmer than the other. "That must be them! Lucky, Frostedrose is back! Give her that flower!"
Luckyfur turned and stared out back to Frostedrose and Onyxlight padding into camp. Onyxlight stopped, letting Frostedrose leave him behind, then he bent down and started prodding the snow with one paw. Luckyfur took a deep breath, grabbed his white rose, then slowly began to approach Frostedrose.
"Good afternoon, Luckyfur!" Frostedrose greeted upon seeing him. She looked to her side, noticing that her long-furred companion wasn't with her. "Onyxlight? Where'd you go?"
Luckyfur felt something churn in his stomach. He could feel his eyes gain a green coating as the she-cat checked behind her as if he meant nothing more to her than a reminder to her friend. Luckyfur let out a sniff of annoyance and patted Frostedrose on the shoulder with one paw, gaining her attention once more. This time, she seemed to notice the thing he held in his mouth, but didn't question it. "O-oh, sorry... I was just a little worried and all..." She apologized, her eyes leaping up and down from the rose and Luckyfur's sheepish gaze.
"It's fine." Luckyfur meowed from behind the fake rose. "I-I just wanted to-"
"Frostedrose! Wh-what's going on here?" Onyxlight exclaimed from behind the two cats. He sounded more feminine and hurt than usual. Luckyfur narrowed his eyes at the cat as he approached. "Oh, uh... Luckyfur. It's you." Onyxlight's voice dropped down in its joy as the tom glared at the flower.
"Yeah?" The white, gray-stripped tom asked with the flower still in his mouth. The two long-furred toms stared each other down.
"Where'd you go off to, Nixxie?" Frostedrose asked, interrupting the silence.
"Oh, nowhere... I just wanted to get you...." Onyxlight gave Luckyfur and his rose one last look before turning around and leaving again. Luckyfur couldn't help but feel slightly worried about what he got Frostedrose, but did his best not to show it. Finally, the tortoiseshell came back with not one but five white roses in his mouth. Luckyfur gave the tom a look of disbelief. Five of them? Five of the exact same roses he left to get for Frostedrose? He stared as the tom sniffed at him, padded in front of him, then put the roses at Frostedrose's paws, blocking him from the she-cat's body besides her face until Onyxlight raised his head back up.
Luckyfur felt his heart sank as he heard the tortoiseshell say, "I... I got these for you. I wanted to get you these." Before he could stop himself, he moved over to the side of Onyxlight, seeing Frostedrose's expression. She looked glad that she had received such a gift. Painfully.
"O-oh, Nixxie.... Th-thank you." Frostedrose murmured as if she were trying to keep Luckyfur from overhearing. Luckyfur padded up to the side of the gray long-furred tom, staring down at the five roses Onyxlight gave her. They smelled like the two-leg place he got his rose from. He looked back at the white, red-eared she-cat. She looked at him for a moment, clearly feeling sorry for him, then looked away. Luckyfur exhaled, placing down his rose closer to Frostedrose than Onyxlight had placed his, then turned to leave with his head hanging.
* * * * * * *
"There! There she is!" Hissed the female she-cat Fadedsong had heard some time ago, but this time, the medicine cat wasn't here. Neither was Nuggetpaw, actually. Just the she-cat, the tom, Lambstar, and white snow. The she-cat and the tom with an accent had been waiting for Lambstar for who knows how long, but alas, the scrawny she-cat was here, and what a surprise she was going to encounter. First, the she-cat had to watch out for any other cats, who, thankfully for them, weren't there. Next, she had to wake her partner in crime, last, she had to make sure that the white cat was inside the Moonpool cave and asleep.
"Why have you awoken me...?" The tom with an accent grumbled sleepily.
"The she-cat. She's here!"
"Here? As in, she actually came?" The tom questioned, rising to his paws. The she-cat nodded. "About time! I was starting to believe that this was a prank that Nugget was pulling on us."
"The idiot was going to come to a rude awakening if it was." The she-cat hissed as the tom shook some snow from his fur. "She just entered the den, so approach cautiously."
"Cautiously? Why? She's scrawny so she shouldn't be difficult to take out." The tom huffed.
"Well she's leader for a reason. She could be capable of doing some damage." The she-cat explained thoughtfully.
The tom nodded. "I understand your thinking. I'll be careful then." He said, leaving their place of hiding and climbing down to Moonpool. The tom landed on the snow gracefully, looking all around him to make sure no one else but her was there. After convincing himself that he and the white she-cat were the only cats around to experience her death, the tom continued towards the Moonpool cave. He slowly peered inside, making sure Lambstar was asleep before he entered the cave. Lambstar was resting there without a care in the world. She really wasn't expecting to have her life end right then and there. The tom approached her, questioning the struggle in killing such a frail cat. He lifted his paw, unsheathed his claws, and slashed at her throat. Her body flinched, then went limp. Her body appeared extremely dull almost as soon as she went still and the steady rising and lowering of her side stopped.
"She was no threat at all." The tom with an accent meowed, sounding rather confused. "You'd think that they chose her to be a leader for a reason."
"Well she was asleep," The she-cat responded. "Let's get out of here before anyone spots us."
