Oh-Nix
Fadedsong woke up, her mind groggy from nights of uneasy, discomforting sleep. She had been having nightmares for what seemed like ages now and- oh no... There's the clouds again. As her dreams went on, she's began to notice a pattern. At first, she floated above the clouds and her body felt very light as if no weight were working against her at all, but as they went on and on and she got sleepier and sleepier, she's begun to sink and her body grew heavy, as if to show her energy level and what she could possibly work with. By now, she was inside the clouds and only could see a bit of the pink-ish purple sky of this strange world. She looked around, lazily and afraid. Each dream ended up more freakish than the last, and at one point, she had to fight her dreams just so she could wake up alive. What's worse? That was her latest dream until now, and her daily activities has consumed most of her energy. This time, if her attacker decided to ambush her, she probably wouldn't be able to defend herself, and that could cost her life. The calico looked around the best she could, eying the clouds that surrounded her. She tried her best to lift her head to peer above them, but to her dismay, her noggin felt like a boulder, and her lack of energy made it even harder to raise it.
She laid there, feeling helpless and awaiting for what images she'd come by next. Slowly, the pink-ish purple sky began to bleed, and dark black smoke spread throughout its air. Breathing quickly, she perked her ears to hear for any noise. There was the sound of storm and the light panting of a creature she was yet to see. They sounded as if they had just come out of a long, draining battle and ended up victorious. They were ready to take the lives of those who dared remain alive against the attack on them and Fadedsong was unlucky enough to remain alive on the battle field.
"Rime ronna retcha..." A grating voice hissed from in front of her. She could hear that they weren't too far away, but still had to walk awhile to reach her; which made matters even worse. Her soon to be killer kept their distance as they slowly crept towards her, breathing as loudly as they could so the she-cat knew where they were, though she couldn't yet see them. She struggled to move, but remained stuck to the ground, like she decided to sleep on honey for the night.
The breathing eventually got quicker and louder and she could see the pointed ears of her killer, and then, all of a sudden, they stopped. Fadedsong froze, unsure what was going on. Did the killer decide to take mercy on her, or were they thinking of the most excruciating way to take her out? She hoped that the dream was ending, but after the dream from last night, she couldn't be so sure. She laid there, claws unsheathed as she heard a soft murmur, call to her, "You're safe for now, Fadedsong," It said. "But you'll need me to help you out of this. Listen to my voice like it's the last thing you'll ever hear." LambClan's medicine cat sheathed her claws as she saw a flash of ginger fur leaping above her, tackling her attacker. She heard growling and snarling of the two cats clawing at each other. Luckily, her savior seemed to be winning. The sounds of their battle faded as the voice came again, "Fight with your life for this Clan, Fadedsong, otherwise the staunch will fall into the grim hole of the dastardly." The voice warned.
The cries of battle faded back in, becoming as loud as it once was. Fadedsong was finally able to move, but only a little. She had just enough energy to lift her head and see who saved her. To her surprise, it was none other than "Maizeflower?" The deceased queen clawed the attacker right above their eye, making them turn into particles and blow away in the wind with the black and red sky, which turned back into a peaceful pink-ish purple one, but rather than two stars, there was just one huge one. "Maizeflower... You must be one of the stars!" Fadedsong exclaimed in realization.
The queen looked back at the calico with a soft smile on her face. "Glad to see that you still remember me." The queen purred. Her kind expression turned into a serious one as she added, "But I hope you can recall my warning even better. Get some rest, Fadedsong, and be wary of the evil that could pierce the heart of LambClan and kill you all with one powerful blow." Maizeflower's voice echoed as she began to fade. The whole area lit up and turned white then Fadedsong woke up. Outside her den, she could see some light snow falling in the early morning sky. She yawned, still feeling drowsy. She got up from her den and stumbled outside it. There was a very thin sheet of snow outside it and the sun was nowhere to be seen in the baby blue welkin. She yawned again, then began climbing the rock to the leaders' den. Once inside, she padded quietly to her white leader's nest, got inside it, then curled up next to Lambstar. She wasn't sure why, but she believed she'd find more comfort sleeping next to her white friend than alone in her cold den where she'd had nightmares for about a moon. Closing her eyes, she was relieved to not come across a single dream, but instead, reviving sleep.

Lambstar woke up feeling a scrawny body next to her. She lifted her head and saw her medicine cat. "Fadedsong..? What ar-" The she-cat began, but stopped. Fadedsong didn't look like she was getting enough sleep lately and Lambstar noticed how the calico was unusually quiet. Now, she looked like she was getting the rest she needed, so she may as well leave her be. The curly-furred leader tried her best to leave her nest without making a sound and tip-toed out of her den to wake her warriors, who seemed to already be awake based on the noise she heard coming from the warriors' den.
She quickly climbed down from the leaders' cave then perambulated over to the warriors' den. She didn't hear the words that were being said, but she knew exactly what they were quarreling about. "Don't worry guys, I'm already up." Lambstar said, getting a sigh of relief from Luckyfur. "Alright, come on. Let's start on some patrols!"
"Patrols? In this weather?" Luckyfur asked.
"Er... Yeah. What's so bad about it?"
"He's probably just scared of getting sick. Right? Is the wittle kitten afraid of catching a wittle cold?" Whiterose teased.
"I'm not scared! I just... Hate getting sick, y'know?"
Sablewhisper purred in amusement, but said nothing about it. Whiterose giggled a bit. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Oh, and Flurrytuft, is it okay that I can go on a border patrol with Nuggetpaw? I think it'd help show him the territory." Whiterose asked the deputy.
"Sure. Sable and Mistyleaf will go with you. Luckyfur, I think you'd do better coming with Lambstar and I." Flurrytuft said.
"Oh, really? Okay.." Luckyfur responded, sounding a bit upset that he wasn't going on a patrol with his friends.
"Come on, it won't be that bad. We're going to be hunting before the snow gets thick and Lambstar's going to ask StarClan for a new warrior." Flurrytuft reassured.
"A new warrior? Ah, okay. So I guess this won't be that bad."
"That's the spirit! Now let's hurry so we actually have a chance at catching prey." Flurrytuft suggested, heading out the den with Lambstar and Luckyfur following behind.
Once the patrol was far from camp, Flurrytuft decided they should start hunting where the snow was thinnest. "That should just around here..." Lambstar thought out loud when they were in the plains-territory that led to Moonpool (which is in the rocky-territory). Sniffing, she comfirmed, "Yeah, that's here. I can already smell something."
"Great! You head on down to Moonpool, Luckyfur and I will try to look for whatever you smelled." Flurrytuft told the white leader, who nodded in response.
"I smelled a mouse. It's coming from over there, so good luck." Lambstar said, pointing her tail over to some rocks with cracks in between them. Luckyfur gave a small sigh, knowing that he and Flurrytuft were going to need all the luck they could get in order to successfully kill that rodent. Lambstar turned away from the two toms and headed down to Moonpool. She prayed she'd get a warrior, then rested her head. In this dream, all she could see was black, which was odd because her dreams usually had white shapes against a starry sky, but it didn't seem to be very important to Lambstar. Either way, she was getting the cat she asked for, proper dream or not, so she couldn't complain. She opened her eyes and was sent back to reality. "Huh...? Not even an image this time? That's-"
"LAMBSTAR! LAMBSTAR!" Luckyfur shrieked heading down into the Moonpool cave. Lambstar could hear Flurrytuft hiss at him to be more quiet, and the white, gray striped tom obeyed but still kept the same enthusiasm. "Lambstar, what'd you just dream about?" He asked, moving his paws as if he couldn't keep in his energy.
"N-nothing, why?"
"Because he thinks he had a dream himself." Flurrytuft explained before the other tom could answer for himself.
"Yeah, I did! I saw this white cat and it was just wandering around in our territory," Luckyfur meowed.
"Which section?"
"Er, I dunno. Forest, I think?"
"Okay, well let's check." Lambstar ordered, heading out the den. "Say, did you two catch that mouse?"
"We sure did! Well, Flurrytuft caught it, while I had the dream!" Luckyfur purred, following his leader outside of the den.
The three warriors reached the forest side of LambClan's territory and began to search. The ground there hadn't yet been covered with snow, but it sure was going to. The cold air caused Lambstar to shiver as she struggled to keep warm and she could sense that the lazy prey around were frantically struggling to prepare themselves for the weather that was bound to come. "Wh-where's the c-cat, Luckyfur?" Lambstar questioned as she shivering. Luckyfur looked around while Flurrytuft sat beside the Clan's leader and curled his tail around her to help keep her warm.
"Er.... They should be here somewhere? I-I mean, I swear I did have that dream." Luckyfur told her, and almost just as instantly as he said that, a new voice spoke up.
"Hmm.. I seemed to have found three cats who have little to no clue where they truly are." The cat said, leaping down from a tree. They had a squirrel in their jaws as they landed on the frozen grass below. They spat it out and stared at Flurrytuft with a glint of challenge in their eye. "Who are you and what are you doing here in my territory?" The feline asked. Their fur was long and had a tortoiseshell pattern. Their eyes were a dark green color with smoky pupils.
"Your territory? No, you're in our territory." Flurrytuft growled, staying at Lambstar's side. Luckyfur stared at the tortoiseshell cat in amazement.
The tortoiseshell sniffed at Flurrytuft then eyed Luckyfur. "What?" She hissed at him. "Do you see something you like? 'Cause I don't."
"Huh? Oh, no, I was just... It's super cool because I had a dream of a white cat jumping down from a tree and that's exactly what you did." Luckyfur explained.
"Really now?" The cat asked, seeming just as impressed. They eyed each cat there then meowed, "Hold on. Are you three members of a Clan?"
Lambstar nodded. "Yes. Are you?"
"No, but I believe I'd fit perfectly in one. Didn't you see how I leapt down from that tree with such confidence? Pretty good, huh?" The cat purred, changing from their threatening personality to a rather gleeful one.
"Hmm... I mean, I guess you'd be pretty useful on border patrols then? What's your name?" Flurrytuft asked.
"They call me Onyx. And you?"
"Flurrytuft. This here is my leader, Lambstar, and over there is Luckyfur, one of our warriors." Flurrytuft answered, pointing his tail at each cat as he mentioned them.
"It's great that you wish to join but there's a few things you need to change before you do." Lambstar said, slightly testing the tortoiseshell.
"Like what?" Onyx asked.
"Your name. What's an Onyx?"
"A black rock..."
"Okay, well, we're gonna just have to add a prefix to it then. How old are you?"
"Twenty-three moons; and I already know. You can call me Onyxlight if that satisfies you." Onyx suggested.
"Hey, I like that name! Can we call her that?" Luckyfur asked.
"'Her'? I prefer 'him', thank you." Onyx hissed.
"Huh?"
"Er... I think I'm going to have a problem with that." Flurrytuft muttered.
"Problem with what?" Onyx growled.
"Well, 'Onyx' sounds kinda feminine and it's gonna take awhile for me to associate that with a male tortoiseshell." Flurrytuft explained.
"Hmm... Okay then. Call me oh-nix then. That sounds more masculine, right?"
"Ooh, oh-nixlight!" Luckyfur gasped. Onyx purred in amusement.
"So... Is it alright that I join as Onyxlight?" Onyx asked.
"Sure! Let me show you to camp." Lambstar said as she got up and padded out the forest. Luckyfur grabbed the mouse Flurrytuft caught and Onyxlight picked up their squirrel and followed the white she-cat.

"And this is our rocky territory. We usually go here to do basically any and everything." Whiterose concluded, showing Nuggetpaw to the last section of LambClan's territory.
"Huh. That's rather interesting." The ginger tom responded.
"Well, I was thinking about teaching you how to climb rocks since LambClan usually patrols down here. And we are in the perfect place, so why don't we get to it?" Whiterose suggested.
"Sure!"
Mistyleaf looked at Sablewhisper then back at Whiterose. "Er... What about us?"
"You can head back to camp if you want." The white mentor told them.
"Good enough for me. Let's go, Misty." Sablewhisper said, turning around and going back to camp.
"Before we start training, may I ask you something?" Whiterose asked Nuggetpaw.
"Anything you'd like, Miss."
"What is your relationship to Raggedfang, exactly?" Whiterose inquired.
"What do you mean?"
"When you first joined the Clan, you asked to see her, and she did tell stories of knowing an orange tom in her past. Are you two related through that tom?"
"Yes. I'm her nephew, in fact. I'm the son of his sister." Nuggetpaw answered.
"Oh, alright. Let's get onto some training now, okay?" Whiterose suggested. Nuggetpaw nodded, looking eager to train.
