The Northern Stars consume 2 hares and a small bird. (5 servings).

As Kodiak and the small band of dogs from the gathering return, the alpha takes noticed of the grieving dogs in the main cave. As they step closer Kodiak recognizes the body of Slade. The tenderpaw lied motionless. Azalea sat huddled over her pup, whimpering heavily. Bandit sits next to his mate trying to console her.

Brittany takes notice of Kodiak's return and pulls the alpha aside to speak to him. "It was Boss' old gang... We went in search of a badger and ran into them. He fought so hard..." she whimpered. The female irontooth felt like she had let her tenderpaw, like it was his fault he had passed away. Brittany also tells Kodiak about a sick tenderpaw Parker was attending too.

Kodiak frowns, sadden by the thought of losing such a strong and young tenderpaw the alpha nods a bit. He steps forward giving Azalea and Bandit his condolences, letting them and their other pups grieve in peace. Although with the lose of one of their pack mates, Kodiak knew he had to keep his pack busy. He would let Slade's parents and siblings grieve for the remainder of the night while the rest of the pack went on with their business.

While upset by the lose of a fellow pack mate Korra knew Kodiak would be sending patrols out. She informs the alpha she would be off on a patrol by herself, needing time to think alone. Kodiak agrees and sends Korra off by herself. The border collie nods, padding off. Once she was clear from the cave entrance Korra sprints off to the southern border, in hopes to meet Florida.

Parker tends to Boss' wounds, giving the male cobwebs to help stop his bleeding. Once Boss was taken care of the shaman moved on to the sick tenderpaw Wallen and them brought in. "So sweetie whats your name?" the shaman asks, trying to help make the sick scared pup feel more at ease. "It's Baxter..." the shy pup mumbles. Parker smiles, nodding his head a bit as he gives the pup some coltsfoot. The shaman then turns to his tenderpaw, sending Eagle off to look for herbs.

Kodiak goes off to ask the ancestors to make Bear, Rose, and June Ironteeth before getting the pack around for some patrols. The alpha arranges for Charlie and Red to go training along with a few patrols. The hunting patrol consisting of Thunder, Nina, Daisy, Shiloh, June, and Rose. The border patrol consisting of Stone, Wallen, Amber, Bear, and Boss. Kodiak and Brittany go in search for the badger again.

Swinging Blades

Number of Dogs: 6 Males_ 4 Females_ 10 Total

Kota walked into the warm birthing den. His paws were starting to numb from being outside hunting. Lekkar did a great job assisting Gracie's birth. There were some complications but he managed to deliver the pups. Kota looked down at the small puppies. Three of them were suckling but one wasn't moving. Gracie was panting and was clearly exhausted. She had lost a lot of blood during the whelping. She hasn't seen her young ones yet. Lekkar already knew what was wrong with the pup: he was a stillborn.
Gracie asked "How are my puppies? I want to see them."
Lekkar looked uneasily at her. He said "Well, you have three healthy puppies. They are suckling now."
"I only gave birth to 3?"
"No, there are 4 puppies. One is unfortunately a stillborn. I'm sorry. The lack of nutrition during the pregnancy and the stress of the birth was too much for this little one. He was the runt anyway, so he already had the odds stacked against him."
Gracie was silent. Her ears dropped and she stared at the ground whining.
Kota walked up to her cautiously. The old dog sat next to the pup mother and said "I'm sorry Gracie. But your other puppies are beautiful and look very healthy. I promise that they will grow up and become great Swinging Blade ironteeth."
Gracie finally looked at her puppies. She whispered "I won't let anything happen to you three. You are my puppies and I will protect you with my life. No one will hurt you." She licked her pups and looked at the stillborn lying lifeless. "And you, I'm sorry I could not protect you. But you will be my last puppy to be taken from me. You can help me protect your siblings by watching over them with the ancestors. Gabe, my little angel." She turned her attention to Kota. "You must promise me that you will protect them and teach them all you know."
Kota answered "I promise to do all I can for these young pups. Now get some rest."

Halcyon gave birth to 1, 2, 3, 4 pups! There is a runt and they are extremely weak and will need extra care.

Rocky leads the new dog back to camp, talking about the torture she had endured under human control. Rocky felt sympathetic towards the young female, never to have pups because of the stupid humans. He showed her where to sleep, then went to bed himself.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Rocky awoke early, waking his kennel and quickly getting them off on their duties. He debated for a long time as to whether or not to make Henna stay in camp for a third time, just to make sure that she does not get sick, but he thought better of it since she was starting to get upset about being coupe up. He decided to take her with him on a very easy patrol.

[size=85]Bella blinked awake her tail wagging. "I have an idea," she murmured to Aladdin. "Do to the fact we have more then enough how about we go on a full kennel hunt?" she asked. "Vulcan you can look for herbs while we're out," she barked, hearing affirmatives from everyone.

Returning empty pawed, Koidak let out a frustrated sigh as he padded to his den followed by Brittany. "That damn badger... I swear. I don't want another repeat of last time..." the alpha mumbled to himself. Brittany watched as her alpha began to pace, feeling bad for being unable to help.

The alpha's ears perked up a bit as he caught sound of the rest of the pack returning. Kodiak caught a new scent, a scent of no dog in his pack had. "Come... They must have found someone." Kodiak barked to Brittany. The pair exited the alpha's den, taking notice of a new female with Stone and his patrol had found.

"I'm Azora. I'm due here in a few moons and I came seeking shelter." The spotted female barked. Kodiak looked her over for a moment, a sense of peace coming over him. The alpha felt like he could trust her, nodding his head a bit and accepting to let her stay. "It would be nice to have pups again, after all it helps our pack grow." A few others let out happy barks before the pack retired for the nigh.

As morning came, the sound of faint bird chirping awoke the alpha. Kodiak stood to his paws, stretching and letting out a yawn. He was determined to keep his pack healthy and fed. "I need a hunting patrol or two..." he muttered as he padded out of his cave.

Korra had stayed out that night, taking shelter in the roots of a near by tree. Something about the male she had met at the gathering drove her curiosity levels through the roof. She wanted to know more about him and his pack.

As time passed dogs finally began to emerge from their dens, greeting one another with slide head nods or hellos. When Kodiak was sure all pack members where up he called for a pack meeting. "The ancestors have agreed that it is time for Bear, June, and Rose to become Ironteeth. May they continue to learn and help our pack thrive. I have also decided that Boss..." the alpha paused to look at Boss before speaking once more."...You have proven yourself to be a true pack member. You will no longer hold the role of an omega, but shall now be an Irontooth."

Barks of approval echoed through the caves as the four dogs stood proudly in front of the pack. Charlie gave Boss a slight head nod and a smile, warming up to the cocky male a bit. Boss smiled more, knowing their relationship was improving. He hoped by spring Charlie and himself would be mates.

Kodiak let out a bark to quit the pack down, continuing on with the pack gathering. "Now for patrols. I want every mentor out there training your tenderpaws. They are the future. For hunting I want Thunder, Daisy, Brittany, Azalea, and June. For a patrol I want Bandit, Stone, and Amber. Keep an eye out for a badger, we have still been unable to locate it. Bear I'd like you to stay behind with Parker and watch over the camp." With that Kodiak barked and each patrol began to head out.

Kodiak says his farewells to the remaining dogs before heading out to speak with the ancestors. He planned to ask them for an elder. A dog full of wisdom and guidance. Parker stays with Bear and Azora, but sends Eagle out for herb hunting.

Tribe of The Forgotten

The pack had been moving North for days, until they stopped by a large oak tree that had several branches that were sticking out of it, making a perfect camp that Koda had in mind.
"What do you guys think?" He turned to ask the pack.
Each of them, with hope glimmering in their eyes, wagged their tails playfully.
"It's perfect!" Tania yipped, then quieten down again as she saw Artermis shoot her a weird look.
"Very well, we'll explore the camp more carefully, then if nothing goes wrong, this shall be our home."

As night passed by, and the pack were all laying around the tree, some on the branches with their paws dangling beneath them.
Tania awoken to the sound of pawsteps beside her, and looked up to see Connor's golden pelt.
She shifted again in surprise and sat up quickly, letting her eyes meet his for a second that looked away.
Thank the darkness for covering the blush!
"T-Tania.." Connor said quietly, "I..have been observing you for months now..and..would you want to be my..mate?..: He asked shyly.
Tania jumped back alittle in surprise, but regaining her composure, she leaned in to lick Connor's mane.
"I...would love to.."

Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 15 adults, 3 pups; 9 female, 9 male

Raleigh was distraught. Prey was getting scarcer, her son had just died, and now she had an orphan almost-Tenderpaw on her hands. This required a prayer.

"Ancestors," she called. "Hear me! We need more prey, and I need to know who will raise and mentor Jaxxie!"

Meanwhile, Jaxxie lay in Mousie's hollow as the half-shaman looked after her. The pup was shivering from her illness and shock,
and Mousie hoped she would survive.

Despite the tragedy, life still wound on. Blue took Montana on a patrol. Briar, Badger, and Rocky went hunting. Stitches, Tank,
and Bramble also went. Pebble went with Freya and Tank, quietly livid that he and his mate were forced apart after their last (unsuccessful)
hunt.

(Raleigh asks the ancestors to point out Jaxxie's mentor)
(Jaxxie tries to recover)

Nestled in the crook of the golden female's belly, Halcyon looked down at all four of her pups with joy and admiration. She couldn't help but feel her eyes water up, looking down at the beautiful children that she had just birthed. Ace was crouched down just beside her, his eyes filled with wonder and pride. "Pride.." She trailed off, looking at the fluffiest of the litter. "That's his name, Pride." She murmured gently, her tongue rasping over the young one's head. "Pride and little Victurri." She looked at the tiny brindle pup, nudging her with her muzzle closer to Halcyon's head. Victurri was the smallest of the litter, though Halcyon knew she was destined for victory.

Ace looked at the two unnamed pups, thinking for a name that would suit each of them. The little golden coloured female wiggled around happily, seeming to do as she pleased. He smiled softly, and the same suddenly rang in his mind. "Liberty. Yes, that it her name." He said to Halcyon, giving her a loving nuzzle on the forehead before deciding upon the name for the lilac coloured male. "Noble. That's going to be his name." He said, earning a smile of approval for both names from his mate.

Ace wanted to stay and watch the pups for much longer, though with the booming call of Apollo, he slowly walked away and out of the nursery. The border collie tossed his head back for a moment to give his mate and pups one more loving glance, then moving out with the hunting patrol.

Apollo watched as the hunting patrol padded out of camp, led out by his trusty beta, Nessie. He had a reproving glint in his eye, pride swelling in his chest as he looked upon his ironteeth that were apart of his pack. Things were truly great for his pack, life was flourishing and the sadness was slowly melting away. Well, for the ones who knew atleast. The pack still needed to be informed on the three pups death's, aswell as the seven that were alive.

He gave his pelt a brisk shake, trying to clear his mind and just think for a few moments on pack life and how everyone was holding up.
