It's best to just ask her, right? "Excuse me," Star says calmly, not wanting to startle her. Torch and Bee both walk towards the pikachu, curious. "Are you okay? You look... troubled."

Another rock is thrown and it hits charmanders leg, the Pokémon squealing in pain.

The angry and hurt charmander pulls his leg from under the rock,

Limping by you and hiding behind your leg as the Pokémon finally revealed itself.

It was an Onix! It seemed to be angry with charmander.

The cry from the cave startles Star and her team. All three of them glance down the way the pikachu had come from. Torch and Bee start moving towards the source of the sound. Her friend...? Looks like there's only one thing I can do. Star follows her pokemon through the cave, trying to keep an eye and ear out for signs of pikachu's friend.

As I watch the Caterpie move towards me, I smile brightly and welcome it to the team. "We need to get stronger, but we also need more team members before we challenge a gym. Let's look for another team mate or two or three or whatever and then we can all train ^u^" I say to the pokemon

Your Pokémon agree with you and they run after you. After a bit of exploring, a little Audino walks up to you, bowing down. It was still in its mega form with the stone tied around its neck. It hands you a note:

“To whoever finds my lovely Audino:

This Audino has been accompanying me for ages, now. I’ve had it since I was a young trainer, but now I am old, and I’ve decided that the best thing for my Audino is to let them explore the world, with a new trainer. Enclosed is a mega key stone. Please take care of my Audino, thank you.”

"Hello!" I say as I take the letter, reading it aloud. I pull out the mega key stone and look from it to the pokemon it goes to. "You want me to be your new trainer?" I ask incredulously, not able to believe my luck and that i could possibly be getting a strong pokemon. It wasn't that my other pokemon weren't strong but this one could mega evolve. My pokemon are talking to the Audino and it's talking back. I feel bad about its previous owner and hope that we could go on a journey together.

The Audino bows down to you again, nodding as it reverted back into it’s normal form. “Audino.” It says sadly, looking at the letter in your hands. It seems to be scanning the handwriting carefully, it must have really cared about their previous owner. “Audino!” It says again.

So, what happened?

Luckily, you make it to the town without any issues. Reading off the address, you come to a stop in front of a house. Before you could even knock on the door, somebody opens it.
“Oh my goodness, you have my package! I heard it got lost while being delivered. Thank you so much!
I don’t have much, but I’m sure your Cyndaquil there would like a friend. Here, they’re all yours. Thank you again!”
They close the door again, package in their hand. In place of the package, a Pokéball lies in your hand. Releasing the Pokémon, you discover that it’s a Slugma! Hey, hold up! It’s gray, that must mean it’s shiny! Suppose maybe two Fire types would make good friends..
