Chelsea watched Aspen from the entrance to the nursery, a concerned look in her eyes. The pretty brown mongrel was sharing a squirrel with Victoria and glaring at Diego over the meal. The pale ginger pup-mother looked over her shoulder to make sure her pups were still sleeping before crossing the clearing to her younger sister. "Aspen, come talk with me." Aspen glared up at her sister for a moment before hauling herself to her paws and following her to a secluded corner of the camp. "What's going on with Diego? Why do you keep glaring at him?"

"I'm not glaring at him." Aspen whispered, her voice cracking slightly. Chelsea frowned and looked back towards the center of the clearing where the two new ironteeth, Milan and Lincoln, were eating. Diego was sitting across them, talking to Milan excitedly. "Is it because he's talking to Milan?"

"...No."

"Oh, Aspen." Chelsea sighed. "You know Diego is a player, why are you upset? I thought you didn't even like him."

"I do... I'm playing hard to get." Aspen grumbled. Chelsea snorted in amusement, earning a swipe from Aspen. "Don't laugh at me."

"Aspen, you shouldn't play games with males. They can't comprehend that you're playing hard to get." Chelsea barked, nudging Aspen's shoulder. Aspen laughed slightly, shaking her head. "Plus, you can tell Milan isn't interested in him."

"Really? How?"

Chelsea smirked and nodded towards Milan. Aspen turned to see Milan getting to her paws and trotting across the clearing to the returning hunting patrol. Dayton dropped what he was carrying, smiling at the blue merle american shepherd. "Milan is practically glued to Dayton's side. He doesn't seem to mind either."

"Diego still wants her attention though."

"Well, steal his attention away from her." Chelsea shrugged. "Show that you're interested." She got to her paws and started to head back towards the nursery. "Oh, Aspen." Chelsea called, looking over her shoulder.

"Yeah?" Aspen asked, getting to her paws as well.

"You better not be in the nursery before you're 30." Chelsea said sternly before disappearing back into the nursery. Aspen laughed, shaking her head before heading across the clearing to Diego and Lincoln.

Jack was awoken by a faint whimper from Freya. In a slight panic, he ran for Mousie and Rowdy, as his mate's pups were on the way.

Raleigh lay on her log, pondering Jazzie and Tuxie. She wondered if they would even survive to Tenderpaw age, so negligent was Starkie. She would have also blamed Pie, but he was still recovering.

Not many were around to witness Freya's litter's birth. Stitches, Rocky, and Badger were in one hunting party. Blue and Briar were on patrol. Bramble, Pebble, and Pie were on another hunt, taking it easy for this one.

It's was a normal day with the sun shining down on them as Lilly was ready to have her pups so Kimmy was back and started to help her with it. Lee and Rin had gone out for the day

"Hold up." As lee stopped and panted for some time as rin stopped and looked at him "You okay?" he said walked to the side of him as he shook his head "I'm getting old from running." As he sighed and looked up into the forest what they were running in. Rin laughed "We all are." as he started to run off and Lee jumped and ran with him. Rin and Lee watched there running as bear traps spotted every where. Then Rin and Lee got back they had something to eat, so they eat some squirrels for the time.

Rocky called his kennel to him, seeing that only a few would be able to help him on this trek.

"Everyone, I have found something that might just save us." Rocky said as he looked around at him dogs.

"Who will head out with you?" Iggy asked.

"Everyone except Eir and Bil. I need to have experienced dogs with me. Bil, take Eir back to camp and keep an eye on her." Rocky said as he led the rest away.

After returning from the hunt, all of the dogs went to sleep, exhausted.

Rocky awoke his group and did not waste any time getting them out.

Current Season: Fall --> Winter
Weather Report: The morning is very chilly and the clouds overhead make it hard for the sun to warm any dog. As the day goes on though the clouds clear up and the sun starts to shine just before it goes down but it never seems to warm up. With the weather as cold as it has been it has signaled the prey to start their hibernation, making prey scarce and hard to catch now. Predators are out more though as they search for that last bit of prey, even they will find it difficult so make sure they don't look at you with hungry eyes. Make sure to keep you camp and pups well guarded because the prey pile and young make great targets for the predators now! The boar are all but gone now as they travel in search of better places to eat but there is always next fall to catch one!

OOC: Don't forget! Today (Monday) is the first day of the gathering! It will start at 5pm PDT! It will end Thursday at 5pm PDT, so every one has the chance to get in and role-play. Don't worry you do not have to stay the whole time because everyone has stuff to do and we don't expect people to be on 24/7, so make sure you get plenty of rest! This will not be our only gathering.

As the group headed out Tania's pelt brushed against Connor's ever so slightly. She felt it though and flinched as heat raced through her in embarrassment. The stranger looked quiet thin from being alone and Koda thought that maybe they could help the pack hunt to see how they got along "Why don't you join us on a hunt." It wasn't a question more than it was a command. The stranger nodded and went along with the group, staying between Tania and Connor.

Boss came up to the sleeping Charlie and Red. Red pressed himself against Charlie and the female tried to curl around him, they both seemed so warm. The large male couldn't help but smile at the sight and wished he could join the two but knew Charlie would bite his ears off. A cool breeze blew past and it made Boss shiver, he found himself not able to resist as he padded closer to the two and pressed against Red's other side. He carefully looked over at Charlie but saw that she had not opened her eyes, either she was exhausted from the day's work or she chose to ignore him. Boss wanted to know which it was but decided to ask in the morning, something he grew to regret as the thoughts gnawed at his mind.

Eagle finds poppyseeds(only one).
Thunder, Stone, Korra, Amber, Bear, and June caught two hares and a rabbit.
Norman and Akira learn the hunting skill.
Brittany and Slade's patrol find a starving dog.
Slade does not learn anything on the patrol.
Norman has caught a cold and will need to rest for two posts or risk it getting worse.
The ancestors approve of Red becoming a Tenderpaw.
The ancestors do not feel that Bear, June and Rose are ready to become Ironteeth.
(They have to be 12 moons at least and have at least 4 training sessions)

Belle woke up to Sparrow coughing but it seemed to have stopped after a while. She couldn't help but keep a closer eye on the youngster and eventually noticed that all three of them have developed a cough. She ushered them all inside the den and forbade them to leave the nursery for the whole day. When their cough didn't get any better though she called for Parker but even he said it was just coughing and it should go away in no time, maybe even with a day of rest.

Poppy, Logan and Florida find a potential Ironttoth on patrol.
All three of your pups have caught a cough due to this cold weather, they will need to watched closely.

Bailey trotted a little ways out of the territory, she was sure she could smell something just beyond the border. She was right when she spotted a mostly wilted patch of coltsfoot. The Shaman frowned before nosing through it, only finding a little "Something is better than nothin' I guess." she barked to herself before delicately picking the herb and heading back towards the safety of the territory. The little red dog trotted towards camp with her findings and placed them in the safety of her den.

Red finds a Tenderpaw on patrol.
Ridge's watch goes uneventful.
Bailey finds coltsfoot and rush.
Billie and Mazey caught a rabbit.

Valerik stood on top of the freshly killed hog with pride. He had managed to track it down without the help of a patrol and pretty much caught it himself. Of course the other's helped when they could but his size made it hard for them to join in without getting bit by him.

The wolf went to take a bite but it was Patriot that stopped him "Wait, we have to take it back to camp for everyone to share." the dog scolded the new comer.

The wolf frowned "I thought that was just for the smaller prey.. We have to drag this all the way back to camp?" The Russian wolf asked in his heavy accent.

Patriot nodded, he had grown accustomed to the wolf's speech "Yes, even a big hog like this." The wolf didn't ask anymore questions then and complied, all the while thinking how strange dog customs were.

The brute felt sorry for the cold dog "Alright, follow me. What has you out in such cold and harsh weather?" He asked out of curiosity.

"F-foooo-od. W-what abo-out yooou?" They tried to keep the conversation going, but Kai could barely understand them.

"Looking for dogs like you." Kai barked, ending the short conversation.

Chealsa watched her pups play, making sure they stayed where she could see them. The two boys though were busy play fighting and stumbled all over the place, knocking into dens and rocks and eventually becoming to rough with each other that Chealsa had to put a stop to it. As she was focusing on the two boys she had completely missed the sneeze fits and sniffling from her daughters until they were all in the den for the night. As they slept she noticed they coughed as well and she grew worried for them as she curled around them for extra warmth.

Trenton, Florence, Orlando, and Victoria find a shivering omega while on patrol.

"Now you done it, the prey is already scarce with this weather and you had to go and make it worse!" Bramble growled at the male.

"Who cares anyways, Raleigh sent out another patrol. They will catch something." He said without care.

"Why would you say that! We all have to do our share." Pebble growled at him, getting in the dogs uncaring face.

"Then why don't you do something." Pie taunted.

Both Bramble and Pebble nodded to each other and turned and left Pie alone. The two chose to ignore the arrogant dog and went to report to the alpha of what happened.

Lee looked at the rabbit in Rin's jaw, the shaman let out a sigh as he returned to looking ahead. He missed the smell of herbs and wanted to go out and search for some but was always put to other tasks. When they returned to camp, Lee even noticed that Lilly has given birth and he felt worried. What if something bad would have happened to her? Something did happen, three of the puppies were stillborn and he knew if he was there it could have gone better. Mud gave chase to the tricky squirrel. With nothing to keep him hidden it had spotted him very easily and tried to run up a tree. The brown and white dog chased after it and did his best to climb up the tree with the squirrel, only to grab its tail. He yanked the rodent down and killed it quickly before returning back to camp. He was cold and wanted to rest for the rest of the day.

The group was a little upset that the boar had wondered out of their territory, they have missed the chance to get a lot of food for their kennel. Though the hunt wasn't a total bust as they brought back two voles in this harsh weather. On the way back though the group noticed that Henna was coughing and sneezing a lot, most of them gave her worrying glances but she just brushed them off. "I'm fine, I promise." she barks at her caring kennel mates.

Eir gave birth to 1, 2, 3 healthy pups.
Rocky finds a shivering dog while on patrol.

Tania blushed slightly as the group approached back to camp, unable to take her mind off what had happened, nervous, she kept taking glances at Connor, who in return kept glancing back at her quickly.
"Sova, after we're done with the food, I'll test out your skills for hunting. Meanwhile Connor and Tania, take a rest. Artermis, you shall collect a few more herbs and we'll get going to the junkyard." Koda said as he stretched his back.
"Alright" Artermis said.

Tania froze, then flinched slightly at the thought of having to be alone with Connor, there was a weird feeling in her chest which she'd never experienced before. And she could feel her heart thumping heavily against her chest.
She looked over to Connor, who had a slight blush over his snout though his face was expressionless.

the spaniel shook her head and tutted disapprovingly. "i am nutmeg. i was sent from the shining omega for the moonlit waters. that is your pack, correct?" she asked, her eyes shrewd and narrowed slightly. moon nodded frantically, making sure that nutmeg wouldn't leave.

"um, yeah! ahem, i mean yes, i am the alpha of the moonlit waters pack." the akita clarified, and the spaniel scoffed under her breath. "sure. mind helping your new pack-mate with these herbs?" she asked pointedly, and moon felt heat rise in her fur. she was making a fool of herself, and in front of such an important member!

"of course, i'm sorry. let me grab these, and then follow me. i'll show you to camp." moon said clearly, trying to make herself appear confident. the healer didn't seem too convinced, eyeing her warily before following her.

when moon and nutmeg came back to camp, nutmeg felt both amused and irritated. why was she the only one here? was this pack really that mismanaged? "alpha, where is everyone? and which den is mine?" nutmeg asked, and the akita seemed to sag.

"just call me moon. i don't feel like an alpha yet. um, pick any den you want. and what do you mean everyone? we're both here." moon said with a tilt of her head. nutmeg fought the urge to curse, internally sighing. of course she would be a part of a two-dog pack, because shining omega seemed to hate her. she couldn't have gotten a large, exciting pack. she had to get this new, untrained alpha. sighing, she resolved to make the best of it.

"alright alp-" she cleared her throat and looked to the side before correcting herself. "ahem, i meant moon. i'll take that den." she pointed her paw to her new home. the den seemed fairly large, underneath the roots of a tree. perfect for storing her herbs and healing sick pack-mates.

"great!" moon chirped enthusiastically, her eyes bright. "let me put these in there for you." she said, grabbing the chervil and trotting to her den. "be gentle!" nutmeg called after her, delicately grabbing the rest of the herbs in her mouth. she followed her alpha into her new den and looked around.

it was cool in here, with enough space for two more dogs, not including moon and herself. she placed her herbs gently down on one of the protruding roots, using it as a holder for them. "there." she said, satisfied with the result. with some moss and more herbs, this place would actually be somewhat nice.

"okay," she said, turning to her alpha. "now what?" she asked, and moon seemed to be in thought for a moment. "go get aquatinted with our borders. i'll hunt and make sure we don't starve. sound good?" she asked, and nutmeg reluctantly nodded. it seemed the alpha wasn't completely incompetent, just young. with a wag of her tail, the akita walked out of camp, nutmeg following behind her.

"Are you sure you want to hunt.. our pups are on the way." The concerned brute asked his mate, pleading for her to stay at camp. Ever since the two found out that Halcyon was pregnant, Ace was a bit worried to say the least. He was always at his mate's side, as though it she even lifted a paw she would fall ill. He was overwhelmed, though so was Halcyon. Sure, she loved pups, but she didn't know if she would make a great mom.

The husky mix shook her tan-blonde head, "No, I'm not due for another moon or two! I'll be perfectly fine." She stubbornly refused his pleads to stay at camp, intent on hunting. "Ace, I'll be fine! I know you won't let anything happen." She said comfortly, giving him a reassuring nuzzle before trotting after the hunting group, the border collie quickly darting after her.

"Relax, brother." The cool voice of his sister could be heard, and he turned his head to see Nessie next to him as they were being led out by Apollo. "I know your worried about her and your pups, but you're getting to be a bit controlling."

Ace gave a look of shock, and shook his head vigorously. "I am most certainly not!" He said, looking at his sister as she tossed him a accusing look. His shoulders sagged. "Well.. only just a little bit." He saw his sisters triumphant look and quickly barked back a reply, "But for good reasons! I couldn't bare to see Halcyon or my pups get hurt!"

Nessie nodded her head, her eyes softening. "Yes, I know you couldn't. However, I think that you're forgetting that these are Halcyons pups too. She wouldn't do anything that would injury the pups." She reasoned with her brother, leaving him on that note before moving up to go next to Apollo.

Laika looked at the grouchy weimaraner, his head nestled between his two large paws, his eyes showing clear signs of being upset. A small smirk played across the pup-mother's face, then letting out a small cough to catch the attention of the brute, who only gave her a mere glance. "So, you're in here for a little cold?" She asked, head cocked to the side.

Lucian lifted his head, letting out a sneeze as he did so. "Unfortunately so. And you're due your pups soon, yes?" He asked, trying to get his mind off of what he could've been doing out hunting.

Laika nodded her head, "Yep. Due in the next moon or so." She replied.

Lucian lowered his head for a moment. "If you don't mind me asking.. Who is the pups father?" He asked, slightly hesitant incase it was a touchy subject.

Laila's expression clouded, her brow furrowing and her eyes watering just slightly. "He was a great man.. Delzianio. Came from across the seas, from a top-knotch breeder. We feel inlove. Me, a simple streetdog and him a perfect purebred.." She shook her head, " I knew it wouldn't work out, though I couldn't help myself. When his owners found out that he had been around me, they left, taking the German shepherd I called my lover with them. Never saw him again." She lifted her gaze from the floor of the cave, letting out a sigh before staring at him.

His gaze softened, shifting his weight before crawling over to sit next to her, letting the husky lower her head and rest her head on his back. He could feel her shuddering, a bit of muffled sobs before slowly stopping, clearly falling asleep. He smiled softly, giving her a comforting nuzzle on her shoulder before lowering his own head.
