Maya happily skipped along the forest, Basil slowly following with a rather grumpy look on his face. “Lighten up, Basil! Surely you’re excited to have an owner! Plus, this adventure is fun!” she grinned, beaming with excitement. Basil let out a ‘humph’ sound as he continued to slowly follow Maya. Suddenly, Maya stopped, glancing around as she leaned down to Basil. “Did ya hear that, buddy?” she whispered. Maybe Basil couldn’t use english, but Maya still liked to take to him like he could. Standing back up, she gently tiptoed to a nearby shrub that she could’ve sworn she’d heard something behind, Basil, now looking more excited followed.
