Goldenstar was pleased to have his new deputy beside him.  The brown tomcat was fitting well with the clan and so where the two girls Briarcreek and Silverripple.  Silverripple was quite the catch in Goldenstar's mind but he tried not to pay much attention to it.

"I’m a leader after all." He said to himself as he walked to the moonpool, shaking his head as he thought about the silver coated she cat.   It wasn't like she liked him anyways.. right?  She did seem friendly and kind to him.  Goldenstar let out an exasperated sigh, muttering something before quickening his pace.

welcome, traveler. this is the home of HazelClan. our Clan has been around since the dawn of time, but recently was scattered due to foxes. i am rosestar, and this is my journey to bring back my clan.

in HazelClan, we have a strong connection to our home. our healers look for omens in our camp and in our territory, while our protectors and providers use mud, sand and dirt to hunt and fight. our roughpaws learn the ways of the wood, and the kits spend their time playing or helping the elders.

our home holds many different creatures that we eat, like the mice, squirrels, deer, snakes, frogs and lizards that live in our forest.

in HazelClan, we stick to the shadows and mist, hiding from everything we are wary of. travelers and other cats are welcome here,
and we stay netrual in all wars. we will take in any queens and kits who seek shelter, as well as leaders and others.

"Hello."
Bubblestar woke with a girlish shriek, as the first thing he has seen was an odd black cat with piercing green eyes. "Sorry," they apologized, "I came here, like a minute ago and you looked so peaceful, right up until a second or two before you woke up."
"Yeah, well," BubbleStar replied, "My mom told me you were there."
The cat let out a smol mmrow of laughter. "Did she?"
"I just said." he replies, completely serious.
"Sorry. ...Soooo..."
"Bubblestar." he spits out his name.
"My name is Shadowleaf. Nice to meet you." They raise their tail.
After an eight-second pause, Bubblestar pops another question.
"Why do I feel like the femininity of your voice is misleading?"
"Because I identify as a tom as well as a molly. But yeah, I'm a molly."
"Fast."
"You asked and I'm working for you. What do you expect?"

It's been a frickin moon and no new cats. Bubblestar and Shadowleaf were starting to get awkward.
"So... Who's doing what today?" asked Shadowleaf with curiosity.
"Well, yesterday I hunted, catched a couple things, and you bordered."
"Which means?"
"We switch again." Bubblestar Shrugs.

It was so, that is, until he glimpsed the shape of two triangular ears? He's almost sure about this.

Nightstar paced, worriedly as he watched Silentkit across the camp. The little black she-kit sat with her paws tucked under her chest and her tail curled up to her nose. The poor thing looked miserable. "Something bothering you?" Nightstar turned to see Redthorn approaching him. Nightstar shrugged lightly, "I just worry for Silentkit. A clan fallen around your paws only to run into a newly formed clan with no mothers to keep her warm..?" Eyes brimming with concern the leader looked at Redthorn for advice.

The bigger red tom nodded in understanding, "You should visit the ancestors and ask for help."

Redthorn's comment hit Nightstar like a bus. It was so obvious and when it was said out loud it slapped him - how had he not thought of that? Nightstar laughed lightly, "Thanks, Redthorn. I'll go hunt then ask them. Do you mind keeping her company while I'm gone? When I return you can do some herb searching."

Redthorn smiled lightly toward his leader, "That's perfectly fine, Nightstar, no rush."

Three female cats stepped onto the borders of OceanClan, their eyes glinting with determination. "We're in another Clan's territory." A thin furred calico meowed, feeling the soft grains of sand under her paws. "I can tell, Ivytuft." A brown and white she-cat murmured, shaking her head. Ivytuft replied with her sharp silence as she maneuvered through the assortment of rocks and twigs scattered along the border. "Someone is coming!" Ivytuft suddenly hissed. The three felines got into defensive stances, only to be stumbled upon by a bemused gray and white tom. "I...I'm not apart of this Clan. Yet. I swear." The tom replied anxiously. Frostpath, a slender white furred she-cat, stepped forward. "Yet?" She questioned in a tranquil voice. The tom nodded. "I...I wanted to join." He admitted in a stammer. The brown and white she-cat, Briardusk, nodded. "And so do we."

"Welcome to OceanClan." Dawnstar greeted warmly to the four new members. Jadefang, the lithe tabby tom smiled. "Thank you." He replied with a dip of his head. Otterpond slipped into view, and he as well greeted the new additions, followed by the other current members, Petalwave, Shellclaw and Coralheart. "Take a moment to get settled in, and I'll go ahead and manage patrols once you're ready." Otterpond meowed, and the other four nodded. "I'm sure we all appreciate your warm welcome." Ivytuft smiled, her tail swishing gently. "If you ever need a tour of the camp, feel free to ask me." Shellclaw added with a polite smile. And with that, all were back to their regular duties.

Salmonkit felt the warmth of Petalwave surround him, and he purred happily. "When I'm a warrior, I'm going to be the best!" He mewed triumphantly. Petalwave smiled gently. It was ever kits dream to be the best in the Clan, yet of course to be the best only one kit truly would be. But it was good to let them dream, for now at least. But something about Salmonkit made her hopeful. Even though this month he had been coughing, he appeared to have recovered almost completely. And Petalwave was fairly confident at her next words. "Of course you'll be."

He look around the camp of Waveclan. 'So this place is my home now...?' He couldn't quite believe it; At least not just yet. 'They even changed my name... Bassflow. I seem to like just Bass better, but I guess Bassflow will do.' This was all new. Not only has he lived alone without speaking to another cat since he left his mother, but he just never even thought of helping catch food for other cats. 'They have this survival thing down on lock.' However, he still had this odd, itching feeling about some of the cats. His new friend, Newtmask, seemed pretty alright. However, he didn't trust Newt's mate, Maplelily. She was very kind to him, too kind. She was always brushing up on his pelt, talking to him every chance she could. Yet, for all he could know, this might just be how cats here are. Very, very friendly.
"Bassflow! You're going to help out the queens with whatever they need today, alright?" Flameskip called to him.
Newtmask came on over, smiling at his friend warmly. "You'll get on a patrol soon, almost every newbie stays back in camp."
Bassflow just shrugged. "Eh, it's fine." Was all he said. He was still slightly lost in all his thoughts.
"Yeah, I feel like you'll do great with the kits, as long as you're fine with all their energy." Then, Newtmask leaned in more. "I heard that Blackspots also interrogates you and reports to Blazestar and Flameskip at night. He whispered.
"Is it just me, but Blackspots is creepy for a medicine cat... How is Coralpaw not scared of him??" Bassflow questioned.
Now, this makes Newtmask burst into laughter. "I don't know! I haven't seen much of him, he only really comes out of his den to go herb-hunting with Coralpaw or to eat." Was all he said before Flameskip called again.
"Stop gossiping like queens and hurry on over, Newtmask! You're more of a chatter than song-birds!" The deputy teased, but had a serious undertone for him to get to his patrol.
"See ya later!" Called Newtmask, going on over to Blazestar and his patrol with a goofy grin.
'I can feel at home here!' Bassflow thought, smiling as well. However, he felt another pit in his stomach as he looked over to see Maplelily eye him down. It was obvious she was checking him out, but he only felt disgusted by her.

weather: leaf-bare.
during leafbare, the chances of catching greencough is higher. if you send the same cat out multiple times in the same post, they are more likely to catch a cold, which can lead to whitecough and greencough, so be careful. after your cat catches a cold, don't send them out for two posts, or their cold will progress to whitecough or greencough. the sun will start to go down early and it will get colder. you will also catch less prey and are less likely to find new cats.

even though honsetclan was thriving through the cold winter months, craggstar soon became like the cold
snow that fell outside clan walls, eyes staring off into the distance. uncaring. he lets leopardrunner run the
clan, briarhop glued to his side like a gargoyle, watching every cat in the clan with uncertainty. she whispers
to him occasionally, directing him, ordering him, and he seems to listen. twigpelt watches from the mouth of
his den, mumbling to himself. something about corruption and distractedness.

many noticed the steady decline in craggstar's mood, the shine leaving his eyes as the winter months worsened.
whispers took up in the clan, all of craggstar's concerning moods. he soon fell ill, losing a life to sickness. for awhile
afterward, as if even more shaken by the death, he stays in his den most of the time - leopardrunner now truly running
the clan. briarhop is obviously pleased, proud of her mate for staying together in such trying times. "perfect
practice for the future," she states, cozied up to his side one day, a smile on her face. though obviously displeased,
leopardrunner says nothing, continuing on staring out at the clan. tigerstripe, lightningwatcher, and canaryleap grow restless,
shuffling on their paws and joking about an uprising.

"i think," pipes tigerstripe one evening, whilst watching leopardrunner alongside canaryleap, a cheeky
smile on his face. "briarhop is going to attempt an uprising, so she and her beloved can rule side by side," he croons, pretending to moon over
an imaginary lover in an attempt to imitate the deputy's mate. canaryleap bursts out in laughter,
unable to contain his glee. "seriously? you think that?" he asks, eyeing the deputy as his mate whisks over.
tigerstripe shrugs, murmuring an 'i don't know' and they go silent.

from another side of camp, honeywhisker shares tongues with flowerskip and charcoalpelt, her eyes glued to the leader's den.
"something's up," she says, distaste in her tone as flowerskip's tongue rasps over her pelt, charcoalpelt on
her left side, rolls his eyes and turns on his back, belly up. "seriously, something's wrong with our leader and
leopardrunner is content to let it happen while he happily orders us around," she shares her thoughts between the two
other combatants freely, brow furrowed.

"maybe," flowerskip offers softly, stopping her grooming momentarily. "there's more to the story then we know. " she finishes, and honeywhisker goes silent. charcoalpelt nods, and watches as graypaw, rockypaw, and eaglepaw tussle in front of the apprentice's den.

"he's a little thing, that eaglepaw," he says suddenly, distracting the two she-cats from the previous
topic. they both nod in agreement, and charcoalpelt continues, "i only hope i can bulk him up before his
assesment." both she-cats laugh, flowerskip sending her mate an adoring look. "i think he'll be fine,
coal. if he's anything like his mentor, he'll be a tough combatant," she states, purring softly. honeywhisker rolls her eyes
at their display a pleased 'mrrow' sounding from her throat. "honeywhisker, did you have a mate?" asks
the other she-cat, and honeywhisker shakes her head, eyes glued once again to the opening of the leader's den. "no." she says simply, stands up, and walks away, leaving the couple to their lonesome.

honeywhisker approaches the den with a quickened step, almost whisking by leopardrunner and his sentry. "hey,
hey, where are you going?" the deputy stops honeywhisker with his tail, taken aback by the obviously upset look on her muzzle. "doing what you seem to be refusing to do - check on our leader." she states, about to leave
again, before the deputy deputy stops her. "well whatever business you have with him can be settled with
leopard, can it not?" briarhop snaps, and honeywhisker barely even spares her a look. a dilemma on his paws, the deputy
leads honeywhisker to a quiet corner and explains, "this happens every leaf-bare, alright? it's something he
developed when we were with the old clan - he's alright... he could use a friend but i need to run honestclan," honeywhisker
takes this in and turns back around, going into craggstar's den. letting out a sigh of defeat, leopardrunner returns to his spot.

the den smells thick of illness and uncleaned fur. in a corner, by a small stream, craggstar lays curled in a ball, ears
flat, fur matted to the side he's been lying on. he doesn't seem to notice the arrival of another cat, and honeywhisker
can't help but pity him. "craggstar?" she calls meekly, all previous fire gone, squashed out by the
hopeless sight of her leader. he barely moves, only his ears pricking to attention. "are you alright in here?"
she asks, frowning. "no." he responds, simply. his voice sounds sleep ridden, but unused. how long had
he been curled up like this? honeywhisker swears she can see his ribs beginning to poke out under his pelt. the clan isn't
even that hungry.

she approaches him carefully, and he stiffens when she gets closer. "...what?" he asks at last. honeywhisker
says nothing, only lays down on the other side of him to provide comfort. he loosens up immediately. he breathed in the scent of
another cat beside twigpelt for what felt like moons. it didn't change anything - but he felt a little less hopeless.
