Bramble and Frankie were laying next to each other close to the oasis sharing tongues. They were the first ones awake, like always. “How are you liking the new place?” Frankie asked before standing up and stretching. Bramble stood up as well “I like it here. It’s very.. warm” she answered briefly. Bramble looked at the bare fresh kill pile “Oh? Looks like we’re our of food”
By the time the boys woke up the girls were no where in sight. Cal was watching over the camp, Blu was laying on a warm rock, while Jesse walked over to Cal. Jesse was already planning on patrols for the day and didn’t even give Blu and Cal a chance to wake up before sending them away. For a beta he knew what to do more than he leader.

Tulip let out a sigh. With the seasons changing to spring, things were going to get even busier. The discussion about the fox was still present and she was getting annoyed by it. "Just get rid of it once and for all!" is what she was dying to say but as their shaman she kept quiet. Early that morning, Seria had a meeting with the kennel to discuss what they would do about it. They decided to mark the borders to keep it out. The kennel was also given orders to attack it if it was ever spotted in their territory.

Now, the camp was quiet again as the kennel did their duties. Tulip also decided to do some spring cleaning out and sort out her herbs. She placed them in a specific order that had something to do with their use. She guessed that no other dog but her would be able to understand it. After all, they all hunted while she spent most of her day fussing with plants. Tulip had come to learn that Seria was very dependent on her and often came with questions about running the kennel. She find it odd but was willing to help anyway.

At last, Seria had finished her sorting until one berry remained. It was a single red berry she picked up only because it was there. However, she didn't deny it's usefulness. A rather grim usefulness.
"Hmm," she thought as she looked at it. "Would I ever need this? Is it actually needed?" She made a pause as if expecting someone to answer even though she was talking to herself. "Well, maybe if someone was annoying me I could use it to get rid of them", she laughed and suddenly looked behind her back. "That was a joke. I didn't mean that."

She sighed again and put it away in a deep part of the cave. It was hidden from view and wasn't easy to find. That way, only she would be able to know where it is. She then stood back and admired her handiwork. She smiled to herself before deciding to go look for more. Then there was a sudden yelp. Her ears perked up with the sound. As expected, Bella soon ran up to her.
"Tulip, come quick! There's something wrong with Aster!" she barked.
"Don't panic," she calmly told her. "If I'm correct I believe the pups are on the way."
"Ah, right now!?" she shouted.
"Mmhm. I'll be right there, let me gather some things," she said.
"Wait! Conner is on patrol. I'll go get him!" Bella shouted. Before Tulip could say anything else, she ran off. She shrugged and made her way to where Aster was sitting. Aster looked panicked but Tulip's appearance calmed her down.
"Alright, Aster. Let's get this over with, shall we?" she said and Aster nodded.

Seria, Conner and Kierat were at the border marking the borders to keep the fox out. "There, that should do it," she said and puffed out her chest proudly. "What do you two think?"
"Well, it better stay out! Or it'll have to get through me before anyone else," Conner growled.
"I'm sure it should be fine," Kierat said with a smile. Seria nodded in agreement. While they were out, they were also going on a border patrol. They were about to head out again when Bella appeared and frantically ran towards them.
"Bella!" Seria yelled. "Is something wrong?"
"Aster... Tulip... At camp..." she panted, hardly getting the words out.
"Is something wrong at camp!?" Conner asked her.
"Th-the pups! They're coming!" she shouted. He suddenly looked worried.
"Haha, you'll finally be a father!" Kierat said.
"You can go back with Bella, if you wish. Kierat and I will continue the border patrol," Seria smiled.
"Oh, thank you so much! Meet me both back at camp!" With those parting words, Conner and Bella ran off.

When they were gone, Seria turned to Kierat. "Now, where were we?"

Mighty Rogues. They're known for their tough exterior and brutal training. No weaklings can get through their territory or be welcomed. The kennel is all large dogs that take strength over wisdom. They will never step down to a fight and even in boredom, they may start one too. Never underestimate their strength, they'll bite you when you're not expecting it.
Their territory is a rocky moor where food is a little harder to find if one doesn't know where to look. In the summer and spring, they leave their winter den and always sleep around the territory under the stars. However, when the cold season comes around, they retreat to their cave.

The Pack of Northern Lights
Number of Dogs: fifteen

Dove had never considered that the Northern Lights would grow this quickly and efficiently, but it gave her an immense amount of peace to know that their ancestors were blessing them so strongly. The harsh winter had ended, opening the door to spring time. Prey would be plentiful, litters would happen smoothly, and they would hopefully find a few more lucky strays to bring into their pack. Raven had given birth to three puppies just a moon earlier, though she still didn't seem willing to share the details of the father, which Dove didn't mind. Her eyes wandered over to the chatty silhouettes of Bear and Sparrow, a slight grin working it's way onto her face. Seems like we might have some more puppies in a few moons with those two getting friendly.

Current Season : It is now early spring. Patches of snow are still scattered throughout, but melting rather quickly. It is evident that this spring may be a very warm one.

Scooby, Bird, Yusuke, Akechi, Makoto, Sakura, Delilah, and Tank are promoted to Ironteeth, with approval from the ancestors.
Bee is still not healed, and will need more to help.
The ancestors decide Amber and Aketchi will need to pay for their ruthless murders. Amber falls to a bad cough, and Aketchi is nearly mauled by a sudden bear attack. Amber will need x1 catmint or x1 hawkweed, and Aketchi will need something to heal his injuries.
Your shamans, Kai and Eagle, feel stressed.
Charlie, the beta, begins to feel suspicious over the recent deaths. They start to investigate.
Nina finally allows for Thunder to support her, and Thunder starts to catch feelings for her.
Everything goes well on their walk, until Ezio wanders off and gets lost. Will they search for him?
Venus gives birth to two pups, whom seem to be Boxer and Husky mixes! Congrats!

The shamans, being stressed, end their search early. They find nothing.
Charlie, Stone, Norman, Leif, Apollo, and Nova catch x2 squirrel, and x1 mouse.
Korra, Amber, Red, Sasha, Kaltag, and Aketchi catch nothing. Has Aketchi become a bad luck charm?
Shiloh, June, Kayode, Dane, Makoto, and Sakura catch x1 bird and x1 mouse.
Isis, Bird, Azora, Zeus, Yusuke, and Delilah find nothing on their patrol.
Rose, Bear, Dakota, Graham, Tank, and Jenny come across an aggressive loner, of which attacks and injures Rose and Tank. Will they take this loner and make them their prisoner, or chase them off?
Rose and Tank will need something to end the bleeding, but there is a low supply. What will happen to them?
Bailey, Akira, Banjo, Shiho, Steele, and Bee are slowed by the injured Bee. They don’t get far before they have to turn back around. They find nothing.
Gunner learns a new skill!

Hakon and Torstein had decided to go northeast, away from Authun as he headed to the rock, toward the thick wood. Hakon had insisted they stop at the pond to drink and while the Cane Corso had his head bent to drink a voice piped in behind them, "What's a gorgeous guy like yourself doin' around these parts?" Hakon's head snapped in the direction of the voice and she stopped short. "I-Yo-...Wha-?" Hakon stuttered and Torstein let a low growl out and butted his partner in the shoulder. The Pyrenees paced out of the woods, deep brown eyes batting alluringly, "Oh, loosen up, old man." Torstein rolls his eyes but says nothing in response, "What are you doing out here?" Hakon manages to mutter as he eyes the beautiful dog in front of him. The Pyrenees shrugs and gets dangerously close to Hakon before whispering, "Just hopin' to find a group to join.." Hakon glances at Torstein out of the corner of his eye to see him shaking his head lightly, "Well.. I'm sure Authun'Kir wouldn't mind another member.. especially a pretty gal like yourself.."

Authun paced back into camp after his visit to Kironir's Rock. A shaman would help, right? Had he been wrong to not ask for a second? Authun laughed - he could handle this group of pups by himself no problem. The massive alpha stopped short as he entered the camp. A tiny dog sat in the middle, staring toward the entrance unblinkingly. Authun walked up and snarled, "What're you doing here, pip-squeak? Get out." The little Vallhund cocked his head, "You asked Kironir for a Vadikor, did you not?" Authun's fur stood on edge, "YOU?!" the dog laughed again, a hearty thing that nearly knocked him off his feet, "What a joke." The Vallhund growled and snapped at Authun, managing to draw blood at his ankle, "You dare to question Kironir?!" Authun's laughter stopped short, staring at the little dog in confusion. He was right, after all, he shouldn't quesetion Kironir... this dog wouldn't be here with the name Kironir on his lips unless he was telling the truth.. "Do the gods have anything to say..?" Ulf's blind gaze glared forward and he lifted a lip, obviously irritated by such a dumb question, "Do they ever have nothing to say?" Authun snorted, "Well, I'm by no means happy to have you, but welcome to The Fangs of Kironir, Vad-..." "Ulf." the little dog snapped and walked off in the direction of his new den. Authun sat, baffled that the gods would send him someone so.. small.. blind.. vulnerable. Yet, somehow, he didn't even seem blind.

Katla had been welcomed by Authun with some enthusiasm while Torstein and Hakon had met Ulf with nothing short of shock. Katla had quickly been given her title -Tor for her feisty nature and natural charm. Authun had noticed, though, that her and Hakon were being a little bit... friendly. Jealousy grew in Authun's gut like a mold and began to creep up his throat when he finally made his stance. The Kir of the pack approached Hakon, "Jaa-Hakon." he spoke as the Cane Corso turned to him and bowed his head, "Just so you're aware," a snarl began to grow from Authun, "Katla isn't yours. You don't decide who your mate is." suddenly he was looming over Hakon, teeth bared, fur on end, "And if I find out you've been courting her away from my eyes..." he hesitated, voice lowering to a deadly whisper, "I will kill you." For the first time in his life Hakon was terrified. Shaking under Authun's massive form he nodded his head, "Ye-yes, Authun'Kir. I wouldn't dream of it."

Voice again contained Authun spoke monotonously, "Good. Now get out from under my nose and go on a patrol."

❀beginning of spring❀
winter was harsh and unforgiving, claiming the lives of many animals that were too weak to make it through the chilling months. prey had been scarce for so long, yet with gentle rays of warm sunlight beginning to break through the gray clouds, spring had begun. the grass is now growing greener, small flower buds are forming and there are tiny leaves sprouting along branches. prey are crawling out from their dens, making hunting much easier.

The past few moons had brought both good and bad with them. On the good side many of the young Tenderpaws where old enough to become Ironteeth and Venus had given birth to two beautiful additions to the pack. On the bad side both Daisy and Wallen had been killed. Charlie, the beta, had begun to look in to the deaths of the two skilled hunters.

Although still healing Nina was more willing to work with the beta then Daisy's pups. However Charlie could understand why Bear, Eagle, June, and Rose didn't want to talk about it. They where still young and where a close family, losing their mother was a huge blow to the pups.

"I still don't know why someone would want them dead. Daisy was a good mother and Wallen was every dogs' friend." Nina explained, her once perky ears held close to her head. Losing her brother had been rough, but if it wasn't for the Thunder the female probably would have done something risky.

Charlie let out a small sigh, giving the other female a small nuzzle. Her heart ached for Nina. "I promise we will find who ever did this. The others may believe that they where attacked by wild preditors, but I don't." she barked.

Back at camp Ray began to panic a bit. Ezio had wondered off during their small walk and with everything going on she feared for her pups safety. "Ray, sweetie calm down. Kodiak and I will personally go look for him. Stay here and watch the other pups." Brittany explained, giving the pup-mother an affectionate nuzzle. Ray gave a small nod before padding off to the nursery to watch the other pups.

Giving her mate small worried look, Brittany gave a small nod, signaling she was ready to head out. Kodiak nodded back to his mate before heading out. On his way out the alpha signaled for Kayode to join the pair, as the African Wild Dog attracted young dogs to him for some reason. Kodiak was grateful to have the male dog though, he had proven to be not only a skilled Irontooth but a great asset to the pack.

Although injured both Rose and Tank didn't let that slow them down. They aided the rest of the patrol in chasing off the aggressive loner, knowing Kodiak wouldn't be so forgiving this time. With things going on they all knew it would be difficult to trust any dogs at the moment.

Eagle passed alone outside, stressed to the max. He didn't want Kai or Reba to see him like this. Out of the whole pack he was close to the ancestors. They had heard his prayers when he asked for their help back when Parker had gone through that accident. Sighing, the male sat down and lifted his head to the skies. "I beg of you, if you can hear me. Please. We are in need of some help. I don't want to lose anyone else. I ask for your guidance to help heal those who are injured and for Kodiak and them to find young Ezio."

Dipping his head, Eagle contiuned to pray thanking the ancetors for all that they have done and for what they will do in the future. He trusted them and knew they had a plan for every dog. Eagle just had to hold out a little longer.

|| Last month...
The brute placed one paw on the fallen tree, testing its strength and hold. He pushed down on the rough bark, but the tree did not budge. He took this as his chance to move forward, so he jumped up on the log and carefully made his way across. Navigating the swamp had become easier and easier each day that he spent on it, marking his scent along the borders so that he could keep track. He established certain land marks, the den-site, and even came upon one of the most spiritual places he had ever stepped foot on; the burial grounds. Mateo determined that other dogs must have been laid there long ago, but not anytime recently. Here would be where the kennel would communicate with their ancestors, and lay the dead when the time came to do so. But while all of this was put in place, there was a major aspect missing in the kennel... more dogs. All of the brute's focus was put toward finding strays or loners among his borders. He wouldn't even mind traveling further outside of the territory to find some. But luckily, he didn't have to do so. Not long after Mateo crossed over the fallen tree, a scent wafted into his nostrils and made him perk up in interest. He let the scent guide him to where he came across just what he was looking for. Dogs. Although, Mateo had no intention of laying it on them peacefully. He wanted to test them. He wanted to see if these canines were really worth entering his kennel. He wanted tough, resilient dogs that would risk their lives for the life of their family. And so, Mateo lowered his body to the wet earth, patches of snow still scattered throughout, and crept forward silently. There were two; a mostly white Bull Terrier, and a pretty Australian Cattle Dog. The female had her nose close to the ground, sniffing at something, while the male looked away in the opposite direction with his ears pricked up in alert. They had yet to spot the approaching dog.
Suddenly, like a lions mighty roar, the brute leapt up out of the brush and let out an intimidating growl. He stood before the two dogs now, his hackles raised, a rumbling still sounding from his throat. Luckily, these canines reacted in just the way Mateo wanted them to. The brute snapped up and turned to the Cocker Spaniel with a mere growl, his tail pointing upwards into the treetops. The female took the same position, her pearly-white teeth bared in an attempt to scare him away. And just like that, the brute dropped his little show of hostility.
"I'm just kidding." Mateo let out in a low chuckle, his posture relaxing. He now wore a charming grin, his eyes scanning over the two dogs. Both of them ultimately looked utterly confused, but the female relaxed slightly and let down her guard. She sat, looking to the Bull Terrier, as to see what he was going to do. "You're just kidding?" Rumbled the brute, looking rather annoyed. "You just had to scare the hell outta me first, right?" With that, the two laughed with one another, all of them seeming rather... relaxed. The group of three talked like this for the next couple of minutes, and not even another growl was heard. They talked to each other like old friends, as if they'd known each other their whole lives and were just catching up after a long day. But Mateo decided that this was enough chit-chat, and they needed to get on with more serious matters. "It has been great talking with the both of you, but I had another purpose for approaching you than to just talk." The female, of whom is named Safira, nodded in response. "Will you two join me?" He asked with a toothy grin.

The past month had been rather eventful. But most importantly, the kennel was already growing. The Hidden had already found two canines, which Mateo still believed were guided to him by the ancestors. Although he was very thankful for what they had done for him, there was still something missing. Mateo was headed out this cool evening to speak with the ancestors, the first time he was even to do so. He had no idea how he would communicate with them, but he was sure he would find out somehow. Either through a vision or just instincts, he would know when he got there. "I'm off then." Mateo sighed to Butch, looking off down the trail he was to take. "Are you sure you don't want us to come?" The bull terrier asked, looking slightly concerned. Mateo shook his head, looking back over his shoulder. "I must go alone." And with that, he disappeared into the swamp.
